      I am a return guest to the Estherea. The hotel is quite enjoyable. One can tell that it is a labor of love on the part of the owner and staff. Some visitors from abroad my find the room size cramped but this is, in my opinion, more of an issue with European hotels and less with the Estherea. The Estherea is in a great location, it is beautifully decorated, the service is excellent and the staff is friendly and professional. I recommend it highly.

      The staff was very friendly and helpful! My only suggestion would be to give more detailed instructions on how to arrive from the airport to the hotel. It is not included in the hotel shuttles and we had a hard time finding out how to take the public transportation. Ended up taking a taxi which cost €40. But it is worth the trouble. Very nice hotel and includes a nice breakfast. We would definitely stay again if visiting Amsterdam.

      Only stayed here 1 night - it was convenient and cheaper than the airport hotels for an overnight. Right acrosss the street from the central train station (5 minutes walk), 4.40 Euro and <30 minutes to the airport, lots of restauraunts in the area and plenty of shops - conevnient for luggage as well! Free wifi new TV's. Would stay here again.

      This hotel is good value for the money. The room was big, clean and we had a great view of the canal. The hotel is very close to tram stations, restaurants and super markets. We would definitely consider this hotel again.

    We were fortunate to book a room the day the hotel reopened due to a renovation. The quality of the room and staff were outstanding.Going up the stairs... from the street was a bit unnerving though.     When I arrived at the Hotel Clemens, the man at the desk greeted me, brought my bag to the room, and offered a complimentary coffee, which I enjoyed out on the balcony overlooking the Raadhuisstraat. What a nice way to start my stay! The single buget room was simple, clean, queit and attractive. I even had a room with a view and fresh air. It had a […] safe, a sink, and a refridgerator. The shower and toilet where down the hall as expected. My room was made up every day, as well as, supplied with new towels.The breakfast was great, which included: a choice of juice, bread, cereal, deli meats, cheese, fruit, a coffee machine(with a selection of different varieties), and a choice of tea. In other words, a good hearty meal to begin each day. As for the location of the hotel, it was perfect only a 15 minute walk from Centraal Station, 5 minutes to the Westerkerk, and 10 minutes to the Anne Frank house. Other attractions where easily reached in about a 1/2 hour to 45 minutes, including the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. A note of caution for people, the staircase is steep and two stories to get to the lobby. From the lobby, my room was just one floor up. For me this was not a problem, as I enjoy the real experience of traveling and the character of a family run establishment. The Raadhuisstraat is a major street in the city with easy access to buses and trams, although I would encourage you to walk through this city of canals.     This was my second stay at Clemens and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff is hospitable and regularly go over and above in their work. The complementary breakfast offers a great selection of foods, and the location is great for getting to the City Centre and the Jordaan.

    I liked Hotel Clemens. Like many comparable hotels in Amsterdam, it is somewhat small and has shared bathrooms. It's near a supermarket as well as many places to eat near the palace. If you are on a budget like I was and really only use the room to sleep then it's a great place. The staff was very nice and helpful, excellent service.     I would never stay anywhere else if I ever get to go back to Amsterdam. The staff there went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as can be, even though we only stayed one night. I am going to recommend this little place to everyone i know who is planning on visiting Amsterdam. It was clean, affordable, and great service.

    Great location near train station, Dam Square, Anne Frank House, red light district and the main canals. Friendly service (they upgraded us to balcony room for free) The rooms are clean and basic. Would stay there again. Only thing to beware of is steep stairs with no elevator. But they might help with luggage if asked...

    I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Clemens! I had a very friendly warm welcome and made to feel right at home straight away. I was very pleased when I checked in to have my room upgraded to a deluxe double room! The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. I liked the small touches like flowers in the room, and was supplied with plenty of towels. […] Breakfast was great too although I'm not normally a breakfast person. There was plenty of choice and you certainly wouldn't go hungry! I would definitely recommend the Hotel Clemens as the location is great and the owners are very lovely and welcoming.     Nice hotel, very friendly and helpful female receptionist - offered complimentary drink on arrival. Deluxe double room was clean- as was the shower. Given clean towels daily. Continental breakfast was very nice (croissants, toast, fruit, juices, cheeses, coffee, etc) Hotel was easy to find and very close to Dam square. Would stay there again.

    Hotelli sijaitsi loistavalla paikalla lähellä Dam-aukiota, kuninkaan linnaa ja vanhaa kirkkoa. Hotelli oli pieni kuten myös huone. Vaikka suihku j awc olivat käytävällä niihin pääsi aina halutessan ja ne olivat ihan huoneen ulkopuolella käytävällä. Ei siis hankala ollenkaan.     Jeg vil helt sikkert anbefale Clemens hotel til alle der skal til Amsterdam! Personalet er så hjælpsomme, hotellet er meget rent og pænt, morgenmaden er lækker og beliggenheden er perfekt. Det eneste minus er, at hotellet ligger ud til en trafikeret vej, så der er en del støj fra gaden. Il est vrai qu'il était 10h du matin. Le gérant m'a répondu que la chambre n'était pas nettoyée. Je lui ai demandé dans combien de temps , elle serait disponible. Il m'a […] dit une petite heure. Avec 9 chambres dans cet hôtel, j'aurai souhaité que la femme de ménage commence par la nôtre ou que le gérant m'autorise à me changer dans une autre chambre pour pouvoir sortir en ville.
