"Great service and location"
Blair is a great manager...talkative and helpful. Breakfast was great, connected bar was fun for the soccer game. Hotel is right next to the main site of the town...the Priory.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best value in the Highlands"
The Priory is located in the center of a small town, and just adjacent to the ruins of a 12th century monastary. It a 3 story buillding with an elevator (rare in small hotels) and car park right out front. The room was very large, comfortable and clean. Recliner chair and flat panel tv mounted on the wall. Modern bathroom with nice towels and a towel […] warming rack. Free Wi-Fi. The staff was extrenely friendly and helpful. On-site restaraunt provided excellent meals at good prices served by young, eager wait staff. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is in a beautiful setting with the ruins of an old Priory right next door. The room was lovely, but very stuffy. One window didn't open and the other looked onto an adjacent apartment so we had to keep the curtains closed which added to the stuffiness. The desk clerk was very helpful and worked with us to secure reservations for a tour we […] wanted to take. I'd stay here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good modernised hotel in village square."

"Great base for exploring the region"
We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is very central and handy to find, with good parking in the square. Our room was large, well-appointed and very clean. VERY comfy bed! Breakfasts are excellent, the one evening meal we ate in the restaurant was from an extensive menu and both dishes were very good, and well presented. Our bill was accurate and […] well presented. I found one minor problem (could be worse if you're on business): the hotel WiFi, while free, is VERY slow - really only useful for e-mails. It also seems to be switched off at night! "Very comfortable stay"
We use The Priory whenever we are in the area for family reasons I.e. For weddings funerals and have always been very happy there. Great position in a lovely little village with clean comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Food also very good so no complaints from us.Genuine Expedia guest review

I visited the priory hotel for a quiet bite to eat last Saturday afternoon and have never been so shocked and appalled by the service I received, all but 1/2 members of staff were extremely rude and very abrupt, it seemed like everything they did was such a major task to them and it came across as though they didn't want to be there. The man who seated us sat us down on a table which was unclean, and had a very sharp tone and came across very snappy and this continued throughout service. I understand on a Saturday afternoon they will be busy, but to be seated at a dirty table was shocking, and all the other free tables were dirty too. I work in a 4 star hotel in the centre of inverness and for lunch we have over 20 tables and still always make an effort to have clean ones, they don't even have 8 so how this was impossible for them I will never know. After visiting the priory hotel for a good number of years now, i was extremely sad to see how the standards had dropped and do not recommend this hotel to anyone any more.
"Lovely hotel and fab staff"

Stayed last week for a couple of nights. Hotel was lovely, staff were excellent and the food was great. The room was fine and we loved the recliners to put our feet up before a lovely high tea. We will be back next year for another autumn break. Beauly is a lovely village and a fab location.
"Very comfortable and excellent value"

I stayed with a group of friends hill walking and found the Priory as good as it has been on my previous visits. The room (standard) was spacious and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and completely quiet. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent and reasonably priced. Both the public Comm Bar and the residents bar area were comfortable and welcoming. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

"Great little country hotel in a great location"

This great little 38-bedroom hotel, with its welcoming lounge, cosy restaurant and friendly bar, will not disappoint. Situated at the heart of the pretty and historic village of Beauly some 12 miles from the city of Inverness, with car parking right at the door, we have always had a warm and genuinely friendly welcome from Blair and his team at the Priory. The chef turns out consistently good flavoursome food with nice little twists - watch out for his venison and his traditional haddock and chips, and other seafoods, and he offers a daily curry special (recommended) and a particularly good traditional Scottish High Tea which is exceptionally good value and even provides 'doggy bags' if you can't manage all the cakes! All the bedrooms are well appointed with real traditional furniture, flat screen television, free wi-fi, most are spacious and many have recliners, and the front rooms offer good views over the village square. There is a lift to the upper floors and we generally favour rooms 6 and 7, both of which are very spacious, bright and well appointed. The staff are a terrific team of dedicated people, a good and vibrant mix of locals and long-term non-locals and they help enormously to make the hotel what it is.

The hotel is right in the middle of the Village of Beauly. Not hard to find. Room had excellent appointments and a very nice modern bathroom (with a glass enclosed shower - something of an oddity in Scotland in our experience). And, it has the biggest flat screen TV we have seen in Scotland, too.
"Very nice little bar in a lovely place"

Needed to find someone to have a drink and we found the small bar (Which is part of the Hotel) down a side street. The lady behind the bar was so friendly and the place had an old fashioned feel to it. There was a pool table and a jukebox and we spent an hour or 2 chatting with the lady behind the bar and keeping the kids entertained. Really nice place.

We were staying in Beauly for a few days, and thought we would try the Priory for a meal - even on entering, the man on Reception was abrupt, and most of the staff seemed to feel they were doing us a favour by serving us. Unfortunately, the food was fairly average, and not what I would have expected from a Hotel of this standard - I would try somewhere else in future.

We visited the restaurant tonight and could not fault the meal.We were a group of 10 and found the staff both attentive and professional .The only thing is we would liked to be offers potatoes instead of chips with our meal but that is just a minor point
"A bit dissappointed!"

We booked this meal for my daughters 17th birthday as I thought it was an up market venue. Service was good, but my husband ordered mixed grill and they forgot the black pudding and steak!! At £14.95 it was very overpriced! We asked was the dish not to have steak on it?The waitress apologised and did give my husband a side plate with the steak and black pudding on it. I probably will not be back again as I thought for the prices we were charged, it was not value for money! The food was very average. We have actually had much better meals at the Premier Inn beefeater in Inverness and I wish we had booked there instead.
