The Corus was a good value for the money - especially after walking into some of the other private hotels in the area....the room was clean and spacious by European standards. The towels were a little worn as was the carpet and the upholstered furniture - but the bed had crisp linens and the bath was very clean. With little time spent in the room, I would consider staying there again for the price.

Just what I needed as a solo traveler. I needed clean! Everything was very spotless in my opinion. I didn't expect the daily cleaning either. Bathroom... was spotless. The building is older, so it creeks when you walk through the halls. I stayed warm and slept really well. Lucy and Maddie were very helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the Merlyn court hotel. It was a great single room and to my understanding and review of other prices in the neighborhood, very reasonable for my own single room with a sink. Staff were helpful and had a pleasant attitude. The hotel room was clean but very dated in furnishing.I did not notice the sign stating that the window leading on to the balcony outside should not be opened at any time, until i was actually leaving, this is because it was hidden from view on the opposite side window which was covered by the curtains, […] it should be on the wall instead.The bed was not very comfortable.The location is good for central london and the area is ok, but i would not stay here again because i was put off by the bed.The owners should update on the beds/ matresses to make sure guests have a good nights sleep. The hotel is pretty standard small bed&breakfast type that London is full of. However, they don´t actually serve breakfast at this hotel. They say they do, but all we got was a cup of coffee and 4 half slices of toasted wheat bread. We had to go eat breakfast at Blackbird on the corner. That was excellent - and what makes this hotel a good place to […] stay is mostly its location 3 minutes walk from Earls Court underground. Comfort and cleanlyness was good, although we could hear the (quite loud) receptionist talking on the phone from room no.3. I stayed there for 2 days. I love the old building with very simple furnitures. There were 2 ladies working there, and they are very kind. The room and bathroom were really crean. One thing I want to mention is there is no elevator.
