The location is perfect, right across the street from the Valporetto (the water bus). Eugenio, the concierge is the best I have experienced in any hotel in any country. He went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Coffee and tea any time of day, letting me use the hotel computer (several times), arranging a free motorboat ride to the glass works in Murano,marking a map with the number of the valporetto to take (including the times for when we had to leave early to get to the airport, and just being one of the nicest people I have ever met! The room was spacious and immaculate with three windows, one overlooking the Grand Canal. The bathroom was spotless and well lit, even had a towel warmer for the towels, the heating control was well appreciated since it snowed the day we arrived! With the Valporetto station just across the street it is easy to get anywhere in Venice. About 20 minutes from the bus station at Pont Roma on the 5.1 to the hotel. Or take the line 1 and cruise down the Grand Canal on the way to the hotel. I love Lido since one doesn't have to cross bridges or walk a long way to the hotel and there are many restaurant choices within a 2 block area.

Die Bewertung 2,3 geht in Ordnung. Mehr ist es nicht. Doch man schläft ja nur da. Liegt versteckt, aber zentral. Anlaufweg vorher googlen oder Smartphone nutzen.

Seul point positif: Très bien situé à coté du Pont de Rialto et non loin de Saint Marc, avec vue sur les canaux. Points négatifs: Accueil du réceptionniste désagréable, la chambre était très bruyante, pas de double vitrage et beaucoup de circulation sur le canal en dessous de la fenêtre. Les murs de la chambre étaient fissuré, nous pouvions voir la […] lumière de la chambre voisine et nous entendions absolument tout du portable qui vibre aux ébats qui ont fait trembler notre fenêtre (si! si!). Nous avons acheté des boules quies ce qui n'a arrangé que très légèrement les choses. Même si l’hôtel n'est pas cher et bien situé, nous avons regretté notre choix car nous n'avons jamais réussi à dormir normalement et ça a gâché notre séjour qui était pour le reste magnifique.
