"Great location, but slightly outdated"
The room was clean, but was still pretty outdated in terms of style and whatnot. I stayed in a room with a twin bed, a small table/desk and a mini-fridge. The sink was separated from the main part of the small room by a curtain, then a door revealed the toilet and shower in what felt like a bathroom from an RV. It wasn't bad, it was just not what I […] was expecting. The owner (or who I assume to be the owner) is friendly. He let me leave the big key for the room (not a keycard) at the front desk every day so i wouldn't have to carry it. Location across the street from the U3 on a main shopping street was really great because it made exploring other parts of the city was easier and more comfortable. "Okay for the price."
I got an en suite bathroom in a room near a super convenient metro stop for a reasonable spot, so I can't complain too much, but there were some weird things. It's on a super busy street with tons of shopping if you're into that. And it's next door to an English language cinema that was pretty nice (there's another one that's a bit nicer called Artis […] Intl off the Stephansplatz metro stop if you're into that. I've been out of the US for weeks and welcomed a bit of home!). It's also only a short walk to Museumsplatz which was really convenient. The condition of the room was fine, not too small for EU standards. The bathroom was tiny, but that's normal too. Clean and tidy. The bed have me a serious backache though, and that's the last thing you need after a long day of walking. The AC is nice to have! But you have to ask for the remote. They like you to open the windows instead, but as it was 80's/90's weather while I was there and it's the window overlooked a courtyard on a main road that was loud all night, that wasn't happening. Also, you have to leave your room key at the front desk whenever you leave the hotel and they'll give it to you when you come back. 24hr front desk, but you still have to ring the bell to get let into the hotel and then ask for your key. I was told it's so they know when you're gone... Uh, why is that important. Once I left for dinner and had the windows closed and I came back and the windows were opened. This was after housekeeping had already been through, so they went in particularly to do that in the hour I was gone? That just seems weird to me. All in all it was a decent stay. They let me store my luggage all day because I had a really late train, so I was really happy about that! It was a little too busy of an area for me, but if you're looking for that, then this hotel is definitely a bargain. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Eccentric, interesting, small hotel."
Located on the main shopping street, this quiet hotel served our needs well. Breakfast was limited but tasty. Services were adequate to our needs.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good value and comfortable, despite construction"
Some maintainance problems - sink sensor went bad, etc. so problems getting water, etc. Get a courtyard room - nice and quiet. Friendly place, and not a bad breakfast. Building was under construction - which was a bit of a hassle, but not too big a problem. Very convenient location. Would definitely recommend as a very good value.

Super! Ich werde bei Wien wieder […] dort buchen! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very good service and reception. Thank you very much for the weekend. They are very nice. Place is good, near the center and with a big shopping street just outside. The man at the reception speak English and French also.
"Excellent experience at Hotel Corvinus"

We stayed at this small very nice hotel. Convenient location close to U-bahn metro station and 10 minutes’ drive to center of Vienna. You can park your car in garage 100 yards from hotel. Staff is very friendly and it is family business. Rooms are quiet and spacious. Located on major street with a lot of shops close by. Getting to hotel you can use bus from airport to Westbahnhof railroad station and them by U-bahn or walk 15-20 minutes to hotel from railroad station. If we ever will come to Vienna we be delightful to stay in this hotel again Alex and Diana E.
"A great family owned hotel, nice location"

My wife and I stayed at this small hotel for a few nights recently and we loved it. Rooms were quite large and well furnished. The bathroom was almost luxurious with a large mirror and plenty of space. The location is a minute walk from the U-bahn and a short walk to the inner ring. It's also located on a major road with many restaurants and shopping nearby. The reception desk is managed 24 hours a day and is quite safe. The breakfast is amazing and we would recommend it. The family owners were also wonderful. We made a mistake when we booked the room and they were incredibly generous and gracious in resolving the situation. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I was blown away by the quality and size of the room especially for the price paid.Having a previous bad experience at another hotel (that was more expensive) in comparison this looked like I was bathing in luxury. It had full utilities, exceptional look, the position doesn't get any more central and staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. It was a great experience and as a regular traveler (monthly business trips) I do not need to look elsewhere for accommodations.Thank you for a great experience and I will return next month and then the next!
"Nice Room and Great Location"

After booking this room, I was a little worried from seeing some negative reviews, but I needn't be. We asked for a courtyard room, which they said they couldn't promise, but they ended up being able to give us. It was very quiet. We were at breakfast typically around 8:00-8:30 a.m., and there was an abundance of good food, definitely worth the price. The staff was very accommodating. The room was nice, including a couch and round table with chairs around it. We were just a block from a subway station that took us quickly into the city, though we walked down on our first day. It's a very lively street with lots going on. There was a refrigerator in the room, and we bought some groceries at a grocery store about three blocks from the hotel. Would definitely stay there again.
"clean, renovated, great location, friendly owner"

Stayed at Corvinus for couple of nights last winter. Location is great, it is on a busy street that has all ur shopping needs, and within walking distance to couple of good vienna cafes, bakeries, restaurants and bars. One block from the metro stop, which takes you to the center within minutes. you can also walk east to the museum district in 15 minutes. Place looked very recently renovated, everything clean functional in the room. good wifi. Owner is helpful, and very friendly - had good chats with him as he worked the night shift. one thing which might not suit more than one person is that rooms can be small.
"Good location, friendly and helpfull owners."

The room we first received was a big disappointment for a double room in a 4 stars hotel. It was extremely small, no room for luggages, suitable for 1 person or for a couple with a very good physical condition and with good yoga ability and not to an elderly couple close to 70: the bed was against the wall so it was not possible to get down from the bad on both side. We would like to believe that we have not given this room deliberately, as a marketing strategy, but do due to the fool booking of the hotel. As it was quite late, by lack of choice, we aggreed not to try to find another hotel so we spent an horrible night in this room, with the promission that in the morning we'll receive another room. And indeed, for the next 4 nights we received a splendid suite, with an extra charge. The owner, Mr Nicholas and the whole staff were very nice, friendly and ready to help, even with the luggages. The breakfast was a bit borring, monotonous, limited selection, the same throughout the 5 days we stayed there. No lobby.
"A Pleasant Experience"

This family run hotel is in a building that is occupied by offices and another hotel. The room that we had was of good size and was clean and well maintained. The room that we had overlooked the street, and the noise level was fairly high. The internet accessibility was good, although for English speakers the television service was inadequate. There was only a small seating area in a lounge. The staff were most accommodating, and praiseworthy. The propery represented reasonable value for money.

Highly personable staff, great location and beautiful rooms. In addition, this location has the capacity to do your wash and fold laundry at a very reasonable rate. From this location you can walk anywhere or, if preferred, be well served by the public transportation system.
"Great time in Vienna"
09/18/13 Bea B Uncasville, Connecticut
The hotel is in a perfect location...on the main street, the room was spotless, TV great, Wi-Fi was great, the owners were very friendly, did a lot of smiling since they did not speak English. The younger man that sat at the reception desk during the day spoke English, enough to tell me.... Breakfast did not come with room, as advertised. We had to pay extra (9Euros each morning for our breakfast plus an already too pricey hotel). If we had to do over, we would have gone down the street for a much nicer breakfast for 9 Euros. No housekeeping services...we left our room everyday around 10 a.m., did not come back until 4:30 or 5 and no one had been in our room to freshen up beds, etc. That was a Surprise! On the third day we had a knock at the door about 5 p.m and two ladies (the same two ladies that do the breakfasts) had come with cleaning supplies and also remade our beds...we were happy. One great service, owner gentleman took us to the airport very early morning for 34 Euros so we would not have to ride the train, which we thought was a great service. Overall, it was a nice place, just don't expect a lot of perks. And just know while the location is perfect, there is lots of noise at night if you like the windows open.
