Nice small hotel right in the center. Easy to get everywhere. Helpful staff. All the essentials there: ac, plenty of towels, spacious bathroom, nice breakfast. Good for a short stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Great location and very helpful staff. Would come back againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall, I am very satisfied. A 15-20 minute walk to The Tower, train station, & shopping, bus stop is nearby if walking is difficult. Hotel staff is very friendly & speaks English well. Nice breakfast buffet. The beds are hard & uncomfortable, & the safe was not bolted down, can pick it up & walk out with it. I would stay here again & recommend it […] to friends looking for a reasonable price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Although it may not be the nicest hotel we have stayed in, it was clean, comfortable, close to everything. Directions to get there on foot horrible and no one could help us. It took us over an hour to find it. Once we got acclimated, we did find an easy way to find hotel. Coming from the train station, continue walking until you come to river. Once […] you cross the river, take a left. Walk down the street and look for a bright blue house (note house on opposite side of river - side you just crossed). looking at the blue house, the street you see directly across from it. Go up two streets and at the second street, take a right and hotel is just down the block about 100 feet. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is in a convenient location ,but is now quite tatty and run down . I stayed a few years ago and it was much smarter . The breakfast was poor and the side road is a very noisy thoroughfare at night ..all night at the weekend . HOWEVER , for a one night stop over it is great for the Campo and university and only 10 minutes from the airport.. […] Quite expensive for it's state . 2** really . "Good family hotel"
The hotel was in a good location and hotel staff were friendly whilst speaking good English. My room was spacious and clean with excellent air conditioning. There were 2 MTV music channels on the tv otherwise there was Italian tv. A very comfortable room however, the shower did not work very well; spitting hot then cold water. The hotel offered good […] value and I used their pc internet access. Breakfast was a good Continental buffet with a choice of hams, breads, juice and so on. Very all round easy, pleasant hotel in a really good location; central without being noisy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a sub-standard room. very small for an American. It was quit difficult to find as well but it met our needs. only stayed in Pisa one night because there is not much to do there except the Tower.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bra beliggenhet for besøk i Pisa"
Som i alle italeinske byer med smale gater vil det bli noe støy i gatene.Hotelet ligger veldig bra til for noen dagers bsøk i Pisa. Hotellet er enkelt, men skal du bruke hotellet til å sove, så er det helt OK. Forekommende betjening i resepsjonen.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Fantastisk service, rolige omgivelser midt i Pisa"

"Overnat i middelalderbyen i Pisa"
"Gorgeous little find!"

Have just returned from a four night stay in this hotel. Was slightly worried after a couple of reviews on here but i cant praise it enough. Yes it isnt a big luxury modern hotel, but thats its charm. Lovely decoration throughout, lovely murals, decorations and furniture. In a nice little street we had no noise on an evening and no trouble sleeping. Air conditioning and free wi fi in the hotel. Its a very nice rustic italian hotel. Its room are basic, but lovely. They dont have coffee and tea but they have a working fridge which is very useful in the current hot weather. Showers arent huge and powerful but enough for a good shower and do the job! Breakfast was nice, good selection of meats, cheese, pastries and cereals. Also fruit, yoghurt and loads more bits and pieces to keep you going till lunch. Staff very helpful and friendly, with advice on where to eat, taxis and other information if needed. The hotel itself is situated in a central location and dont be afraid to walk down the quiet streets and alleys as this is where we found the best places to eat. We found pisa (as long as you stay away from the eateries right next to the tower) very reasonable. A lovely coffee place to the left at the end of the hotel road which provides lovely take out coffee we took to the room. It cost us 8 euro from the airport to the hotel (although the price increases going back that way, think this maybe due to one way system or the taxicompany) (AND YOU MUST TRY THE TIRIMASU!! IN EVERY RESTAURANT!!!! LOL) Great hotel, will definitely be back there sometime soon. Thank you for a wonderful stay x
"Great little hotel"

Stayed here in april 2014.You need to bear in mind that it it is not five star and of course it will have its pros and cons.We found it to be a fantastic little hotel. We loved the decor which could be called outdated but it made it cosy.It was clean and the beds comfortable and they were made up every day and bathroom tidied.Great staff at the reception who were friendly and spoke good english.Great location short walks to all sights.Continental breakfast looked good but i am not keen so did not try. This is a great budget hotel and as long as you do not expect perfection this is for you, we thought it was great and would stay here if we ever returned .
"Maybe an Half star hotel"
The only good thing was the location but Pisa is a small city so almost everywhere you are close by the main turistic points. When we arrived, we found a pair of dirty socks from previous customers on top of our bedside table and this was just the start. We tried to open the window to have some fresh air as you could smell that the room hasn't been open for long time and we understand why. Close by, there was a nest of piccions and full of their escrements on the shutter and even on the window! It was disgusting! Moving to the bathroom, we found a leak by the toilet and also didn't smell nice. We tryed to turn on the heater and also didn't work. When we mentioned all of these issues at the reception they said they were going to have a look and fix the problems. In the evening when we came back, the staff said that everything was fixed and to turn on the heater we needed to turn it up to 26 degrees and guess what? We still had the same problems. Also in our room and all around the hotel there were half light that didn't work, they bouth the matress probably in the 1970, it just seems that they tried to save as much as possible on cost with the conseguense of lack of services. Even to use internet you have to pay for it. I really hope the owner of this hotel will change his savings mentality soon...
"An old building in an old narrow streets town"
03/12/14 Stoica D Bucharest, Romania
To arrive at Leonardo Hotel is a challenge because the Pisa streets are very narrow and the parking areas also very few. The hotel itself is OK, not luxury but enough clean and not so far for the most wanted touristic areas. The rooms are not so big but well equipped. For several nights is perfect and the prices are OK.
"Fabulous Little Find in Pisa!"
02/24/14 AnnieB77 Market Rasen, United Kingdom
We have stayed at this hotel three times now I think it is. It is just a beautiful little hotel tucked away, which is fantastic value for money. It isn't five star or high end and it doesn't claim to be but it is very clean, comfortable and friendly. We travel to Italy regularly and whenever we stay in Pisa, we always stay here. We have tried a couple of other local hotels but we just love the 'feel' of this hotel and if on a budget, then you definitely can't go wrong as it represents great value for money. The location is fabulous with a pleasant walk to all of the 'important' parts of Pisa. The streets are everything you'd expect, it is like walking through a film set. Just hazy sunny, balmy evenings (obviously it depends what time of year you visit!) and beautiful buildings. There are some fantastic ice cream parlours all within walking distance. The staff are always lovely and there is also internet connection too for keeping in touch with the rest of the world. The rooms are a fair size and the beds are comfortable. Decoration is pleasant too. Nothing more to add really, just go and enjoy!

Good location, but that's about it. Tiny rooms not big enough to accommodate two people with two pieces of hand luggage. Shower cabin so small you cannot bend to shave your legs or pick anything up from the floor. Dated furniture and fittings in addition to creepy wall murals. The noise levels from the construction site right in front of the hotel during the day and drunk revellers at night were out of this world. Didn't get a wink of sleep for three solid nights, left the place utterly drained and tired.
"A good 3 star hotel centrally located in Pisa"
11/28/13 lynda55 UK
This was a very centrally located hotel only 10 minutes walk from the Leaning Tower and Duomo. The hotel doe snot have a restaurant but that is not a problem as there are many good restaurants nearby - favourite is Osteria Del Tinti, so good we went back twice. It is a 3 star hotel so do not expect luxury. It is a little faded but comfortable. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Good breakfast buffet. Quiet location. Many taxis will not go up this street as it is so narrow but it is only a very very short walk from the next street (which is not much wider!). There were mosquitos in November - we could not believe it. But the hotel provide plug in repellents which was good.
"Very very basic"

Booked four nights here for my wife and I. Only stayed the one night! Quaint but dirty room, tv needed putting on a chair to enable lead to reach. ( yes we don't stay in watching tv either but news channel etc in background whilst changing etc is welcome) no English speaking channels. No tea/coffee making facilities, wifi hit and miss. Breakfast ok but was a little disconcerted to see breakfast items still on table when we returned to the hotel at 2100. Staff friendly and a terrific location
"Exceptional service! great location"
10/18/13 Iharvkay Irvine, California
My husband and I felt that the personal service that we were given was exceptional. It made our stay in Pisa very memorable. The staff especially Allison made sure all our needs were met after a horrific experience at a B&B in Pisa that we walked out of. She mad sure our car was safe and that our room was acceptable. Also my husband as he normally does asked where she eats and we loved her recommendation!!! Please book your next stay in Pisa here. You will not be disappointed.
"In the Heart of Pisa"
10/11/13 Bryan W Manchester, United Kingdom
Just returned from delightful holiday in and around Pisa. The Leonardo hotel is an excellent choicefor those who wish to explore this area of Tuscany. It is centrally located, quiet and friendly. Do not expect magnificent views, this hotel is in a small street. It is approx 7 minutes walking from the tower, Basilica etc. with numerous restaurants in the surrounding area. It can be very lively with large groups of students enjoying themselves in the nearby squares, but without any of the stupid antics that students in this country seem to get up to. There is an excellent train service to places such as Florence, Seina and the really delightful must see walled town of Lucca. The downside is the many immigrant hawkers who are constantly accosting you. If you enjoy exploring medieval cities, seing magnificent churches and splendid architecture, then this is the holidayfor you, and without a fat tattooed women in sight - wonderful.
