"Great stay in Pompei"
Walking distance to Pompei and close train ride to Herculanium. Be sure you know which train station to get off of...there are 3 in the area. Coordinate directions with the hotel staff. They were great with tips for the town and visiting Pompei.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful place! Was a little concerned that our room was at the annex 100 meters away, but it was lovely and right next to a great pizzeria!! Would do it all again!! English speaking staff...great service!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Safe with Parking"
Hotel was perfect for our last night in Italy. We had an early morning flight from Naples, but didn't want to stay in Naples (we had heard horror stories of driving and safety). This hotel met our needs of being close to the A1 (for airport access), having safe/secure parking and being close to the ruins. We were in a room with 1 king and 1 twin bed. […] This was great as we were able to use the twin bed to pack all of our checked luggage. Hotel had a small bar and a cute courtyard to hang out in. We explored Pompeii after checking in. The hotel gave us directions to the back entrance, but I would suggest asking for directions to the main one (it is a very close/flat walk). Our entrance was out of maps, which made the site visit a little hard. We had dinner are the restaurant next to the hotel and it was wonderful. Good alternative if you have a rental car and an early morning flight, but don't want to stay in Naples. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We found the Hotel Duana to be a lively place to stay. Their staff was excellent and we enjoyed meeting the lovely owner. "Close to Train Station"
The hotel was situated in a nice location close to the train 1min walk & citycenter 5min walk. The hotel itself was not great.. rooms seemed very dead no life what so ever! Bed was a mattress and the pole springs that would hold the mattress.. Breakfast was bad.. it looked like a big spread but mainly ham & cheese & yogurt.. At one point while walking […] through town I saw the hotel Forum which looked very nice & thought why didn't I stay there? Hotel Diana not recommended seemed like a hostel!! Response by Diana Pompei thank you for having shared your experience. we are so sorry that you didn't have a good stay in our Hotel but we would like to underline that for breakfast we serve also croissants, panini, cakes, several kind of jams, coffees and fruit juices. The mattresses are new and usually a bed is made by a mattress and wood poles! at the end you compare a 4 star Hotel, like Forum, with a 3 star Hotel, which is not a Hostel, at all. Anyway, your opinion will be useful for us to better ourselves
"Great Staff....the best thing about the hotel."
The hotel day and evening staff could not be better..they were soooo helpful; good English..which is helpful. The breakfast in the morning was very good. The bed was a bit hard...but it would not stop me from staying there again. The location was great..so close to the ruins. Free parking was also great and close to the front entrance to the hotel..and […] I felt that the car was safe. I would stay at this hotel again if I visited Pompei again. Nothing at all to complain about at this place! Room was a bit small..but again...would not stop me from staying here. 5 star rating. By the way was there with my partner and felt no homophobia at all. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We stayed one night at Hotel Diana and found it very convenient to the ruins in Pompeii. It is very clean with a better than average breakfast and wonderful, helpful, and friendly staff. We would definitely stay there again should we venture back to Pompeii.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
While the room was on the small side, the staff was incredible. They helped coordinate transportation from the Rome airport. The guy they found was so good that we asked him to drive us from Positano to Rome later that week. The hotel has an beutiful court yard, perfect for resting or having drinks before dinner. The location is perfect, a short walk […] to the ruins and to excellent restaurants for dinner or lunch. If you are not doing the tour group thing, this is definitely an excellent alternative. "Great Hotel - But a few suggestions..."
Great little hotel close to Pompei Train Station (NOT Pompei Scavi). Staff is friendly and helpful. But, breakfast is very limited if one is gluten-free (just breads with minimal cheese/meat). Some fruit and or yogurt would be nice. And, the internet is sketchy. Could not get a signal in my room on the 2nd floor and had to go to the lobby to get ac […] cess. "Great stay close to the ruins"
We completely enjoyed our one night at Hotel Diana. We came from the train station and it was incredibly easy to find/walk to. The rooms were very clean - the hotel had a fresh, modern feel to it. The staff at the front desk were wonderful, very helpful and friendly! The only thing we were a little surprised at was the daylight savings time change - […] no one mentioned it at the hotel and, luckily, we ended up an hour earlier (not later) for our train, but next time maybe they can post a note at the front desk to let people know? Also, they are very thorough giving train directions from Naples to Pompeii, but they call the train that you have to take the" Ferrovie dello Stato FFSS" train in the directions - this train is the same as the TRENITALIA train. When you get to Naples, you won't see FFSS anywhere - look for the Trenitalia office and they can help you get a ticket. Great little hotel! We would definitely stay there again . . . VERY close to the second entrance to Pompeii (not the main one, so you miss some of the crowds). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Walking distance to train station"
Very friendly front desk reception and staff. Breakfast was abundant. Bathroom shower drainage issue other then that hotel is clean. One block from train station, walking distance (7 blocks) to Pompaii excavation site. Bus station to take you to Mt. Vasuvius (5 blocks). We felt very safe walking around at night 10pm.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Lovely staff, small room for a single. Good restaurant. A very bad bed but staff seemed interested when I complained when checking out. In all a nice place!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Super family-run hotel in Pompeii town"
Really pleasant garden to relax in. Very helpful desk staff. Location good because it is in Pompeii town - plenty of good restaurants and gelateries nearby. At night walk up to the town square by the big church/camponile. Lots of children, gossiping old people and so on just hanging out. Bit of a walk to Pompeii Scavi circumvesuviana stop, but doable. […] Really near the other circumvesuviana stop on the branch line. Really really near to train Italia stop, but that's out of service right now. Very near to the Ampitheatre entrance/exit from Pompeii (which is OK, but not left luggage or audioguide there). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Very convenient to ruins of Pompeii. Great value"
This hotel, or the annex to which you will probably be sent looks initially un impressive, however upon entry you are greeted with extremely helpful staff who will give plenty of relevant information re the ruins, nearby restaurants and anything else you may ask about. The staff were very helpful and lovely. Wifi was patchy in the room though, and you could sometimes hear the neighbours breakfast was average. But overall, worth the money?Genuine Expedia guest review
We stayed in the hotel annex as the prices were cheaper. Although a short walk from the main hotel, the annex was newly refurbished and very comfortable. The hotel is in a very good location, there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. There is a train station just across the road, however we came by car so didn't actually use it. Great location to visit the ruins and the front office staff were very friendly and informative.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had booked with the Hotel Diana but when we arrived at night, we were told that they didn't have any rooms left in the Hotel Diana and that we would be staying in their sister hotel (which is the Diana Inn). We had to walk with our luggage a short trip down the street and down an alley to the 'sister' hotel. We were not offered any assistance with […] our luggage and did not have a phone in the room. The beds are harder I'm sure than the stone beds of the ancient lupanar we visited the next day. Construction started early the next morning and the thin walls did not provide much barrier to the ensuing noise. Main train station that is close to the hotel was not open when we visited; however, the hotel did not update their site to advise travellers of this. This info would have allowed us to save time making travel arrangements. Breakfast was 'ok' Based on our experience, I don't know how they received the awards they boast about on their site. Staff really helpful. My room was spotlessly clean. Had a very enjoyable stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is located in the center of the city and it is at a walking distance from Pompeii Scavi, Train Station, Cathedral, etc. It is clean and well kept. My wife and I spent 4 nights here in Aug and had a very pleasant stay. "Great hotel for a visit to Pompei"
Stayed here for one night for a visit to Pompei. Great impression from the start when greeted by really friendly receptionists. As a family sightseeing around Italy, we needed a place to stay while exploring Pompeii. We found the Hotel Diana to be very clean, very close to the ruins( 5 minute walk), and the staff extremely helpful. The private garden to sit and have a beer or wine or coffee in the afternoon after walking the ruins was like an oasis in the middle of modern Pompeii. "Stay at hotel Diana"
We have just got back from our stay at the Hotel Diana in Pompei having selected this hotel due to its trip advisor rating. The room is rather basic as per previous reviews but is tidy and clean and the bathroom is plenty big enough for two. The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk to the ruins and the main street of restaurants. I have given this […] 3 out of 5 as the walls in the rooms are incredibly thin and for us this meant being kept awake by our neighbour's screaming child all through the night. Also I felt that the breakfast selection could have been better as it just consisted of a few croissants and as there were so few you felt you could only take 1, some cornflakes, a few slices of ham & cheese, few slices of cake and some very un-appealing fruit. The hotel staff are all very helpful though and speak good English. Overall this is a good hotel Im just not sure its anything exceptional. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Hotel Diana, Pompei, Italy"
Situated 2 minutes walk from the centre of town in a small quiet side road. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was fairly small, the bed was a bit hard and the TV was on a wall above the wardrobe which was rather unusual making it hard to see but there were no English TV channels anyway which would have been nice as we had a few rainy days during […] our stay. 20 minute walk to the main entrance to the ruins but they are a must see with Vesusvius ever present in the background. Many tours available to Vesuvius but don't go if there is a cloud covering the top as you won't see a thing which happened to us and was disappointing. It was clear on the day we left but you can't control the weather! Continental breakfast but it was eat as much as you like with freshly made coffee on request. Recommend the restaurant at the end of the hotel side road probably the best in town with excellent food and good service at a reasonable price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Petit hôtel près du site de Pompei, bon service du personnel. Désolant d'être déplacé à quelques minutes dans un intérieur de cour, où l'hôtel possède 3 chambres supplémentaires.
