The place was in a great location. The two bedroom apartment was a good size and it was very clean. The also took good care of the grounds. However, they have very limited staff with very limited time availability. They only speak Italian (very little English). Thankfully we speak Italian! I would definitely stay there again. I just wish they had wifi in the rooms (only down at reception office). And I wish they had some activities and/or more info available. If you stay here, you need to be self sufficient!

aI had to reasons to visit Cassino, one was to visit the New Monte Cassino and the Polish cemetery. My second reason is that I had to return a rental car in Rome by 12 noon, I was in S. Italy to far to make the drive on one morning, besides I have always wanted to See Monte Casino The only down side to the Hotel was 4.50 euros for on Capacino, in town they are .90, I drink 2 or 3 at a time so going to town was a no brainer.

This is an area I hadn't been to in years - just remembered the spectacular clear water. Mary the receptionist is extremely nice but your Italian should be pretty good if you want to communicate verbally. From Formia train station its about a 10 minute ride by cab. Bring in some provisions unless you opt for the full board. There's really not a town center. Just beach and restaurant. The bungalows are sparse but clean. It's great to be right on the beach BUT, the other side is right on the Via Flacca which is right on the road. So nighttime noise is an issue. Get your "lettini" on the beach nice and early so you can be at the water's edge - most all beachgoers smoke; this way you get the sea breeze. Beautiful view of the old tower off the point of Gaeta and cliffs with island of Ponzo in the distance. Lovely sunsets and aquamarine waters.

We only stayed one night , My husband 16 year old and I .It was very clean and big room .It was very easy to find. The best capuccino.Beautiful view of mountains. Staff very eager to help.

My family recently stayed at La Pace in Cassino for one night. There was 7 of us traveling together and booked 3 rooms. The hotel staff was very helpful and spoke very good English. The rooms were clean and two had a great view of Montecassino. We had problems with the air conditioning in one room and when we reported it, they staff gave us another room. The breakfast was very robust - one of the best we experienced during our 2 week stay in Italy. The staff recommended a restaurant a few blocks away called the Asado - again one of the best meals we had. We were able to attend "the market" in town on Sat. before we left for Sorrento and loved the experience. All in all we truly enjoyed our short visit to Cassino and La Pace.
