The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The included buffet breakfast consisted of eggs, cold meat, cereal and fresh baked croissants. This hotel is great value! It is a 10 minute walk from the Mestre bus/train station, next door to a supermarket and close to kebab/pizza restaurants and some pubs. It is very easy to get into central Venice. There is a bus right across the street that comes every 10 mins and takes about 12 mins to get to the main bus station in Venice. It costs a little over a euro one way and you can get the ticket at the reception (along with vaporetta tickets). Keep in mind though that st.mark's square is about a 35 min walk from Piazalle Roma ( the bus station). Unless you want to lug your bags through the narrow, busy streets and (many) staircases of Venice and pay a fortune for a dump, I would recommend staying in the Mestre area and this hotel was great value for the money.

We stayed 1 night only and were very happy with the hotel. Dont forget to get you key from Hotel Luca as the Casa Dolce has no reception. The feeling of the hotel is as you were resident of Venice. We highly recommend it.

Hotel was very clean and nice, everyone was friendly, very close to mostly all the sights, but what isnt in venice right? Great restaurants nearby, and close to the vaparetto station and bus station! Only problem was, the shower head was not connected to the wall, which is like this is most European hotels, and the rooms was extremely crampt. other then that, 4 stars!

"Stayer Beware"
As long as you know going into this, the hotel is not in good condition. One wall in our room looked damped and when we looked up the ceiling was moldy. This wasn't so bad since we were staying one night. In the morning, ceiling chips were on the floor under the spot. The location was perfect, however, I would not have stayed more than one night. "Loved it."
It wasn't exactly what I was thinking but it was great nonetheless. It's right outside St. Mark's Square, on a street filled with plenty of food and stores. Staff was informative. Room was small but very clean. I recommend it. :]

"Best value in Venice"
I'll always stay here on future trips to Venice. The location is superb, staff friendly, interior clean and relatively modern. I've stayed at some other awful hotels in Venice and it's just not worth the risk! Only criticism - the breakfast could contain some mote fresh components.
"God service, rent"
Lite og trivelig hotell. Sentralt. Lite gatestøy på det rommet vi sov. Veldig fint og rent med varme på badet, god dusj. Trivelig frokostrom med god service og helt ok mat. God service og informasjon fra ansatte i resepsjon. Eneste minus var at vi ikke så noen rømningsveier annet enn den ene trappen vi kom opp.
"Klein, an top Lage"
Das kleine Hotel liegt ganz nahe beim Markusplatz, direkt von kleinen Läden, Boutiquen, Restaurants und Cafes umgeben. Eine optimale Ausgangslage zur Erkundung der Stadt oder auch zum in der Nähe Bleiben. Wir hatten unser Zimmer im 5. Stock mit einem Wohnbereich zur "Touristenmeile" hin und dem Schlafzimmer zum Innenhof. Entsprechend war vom Rummel […] draussen nichts zu hören. Dafür hatten wir einen Generator im Nachbarraum, der leise vor sich hin brummte, was uns aber nicht weiter gestört hat. Die Zimmer sind tadellos und verfügen über die üblichen 2(-3)*-Annehmlichkeiten (TV, Kühlschrank/Minibar, Dusche, Bidee, Haartrockner, ausreichend Handtücher, Duschmittel etc., Tischchen mit Stuhl, grosser Kleiderschrank, Wandspiegel). Der Zimmerservice wurde täglich gemacht, das Zimmer jedoch während unseres Aufenthaltes nicht gereinigt. Das Bett war leider sehr hart und die Kissen waren auch nicht wirklich flauschig, was wir nach der zweiten Nacht allmählich zu spüren begannen. Die Wassertemperatur in der Dusche konnte nur sehr schwer reguliert werden, wobei diese zwischen massiv zu heiss und widerum zu kalt schwankte. Wer also auf ausgiebiges Duschen Wert legt, wird enttäuscht sein. Das Frühstück war tiptop: 1 süsser Gipfel (fix nur 1 pro Person), 2 Brötchen (sicherlich hätte man auch mehr bekommen, haben wir nicht ausprobiert), Zwieback, Butter, div. Marmeladen/Nutella, Streichkäse, 1-2 Sorten Käse, Salami, Schinken, Naturjogurth, Cornflakes, Dosenfrüchte, Kaffee, heisse Schokolade, div. Teesorten, Saft. Das Personal beim Frühstück und auch an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich. An der Rezeption wurde fliessend Englisch gesprochen. Das Treppenhaus des Hotels ist sehr eng und das Hotel verfügt über keinen Lift. Wer also schlecht zu Fuss ist, sollte nach einem Zimmer im 1. Stock fragen (wir waren im obersten). Read more

Hôtel très bien situé. Accueil charmant. Petit déjeuner moyen après avoir regardé la vitrine de la pâtisserie en face de l'hôtel. Confort du lit très médiocre mais chambre et salle de bain propres.

hôtel a coté de la place saint Marc a proximité des boutiques des restaurants et de la basilique. Le personnel était sympathique l'hotel propre et la climatisation dans la chambre fonctionnait bien. On a été satisfait de notre choix.
