"Very long climb upstairs. Broken air conditioner"
Unfortunately I wasn't impressed with the staff or the hotel in general. We paid guaranteed for two nights and let them know via email the day before we would not arrive until the second morning. When we got there the woman at reception was rude saying she was about to give away our prepaid room because she had not heard from us. I showed her the response […] I received to my email the day before. She gave some lame excuse. Anyway then our room was up a very steep staircase and the air conditioning wasn't working. They said it would be the next day ( when we were checking out) before anyone would look at it. This was the worst hotel in our 2 week 6 hotel trip. I would not recommend this place at all. "It's venice but still"
For 170 euro per night one would expect to get help with luggage In hotel with out elevator . I was shocked when asked for help and was shown with pointer finger to stairway ... Room was old but clean , as for bath we preferred to wait with shower to yor return to Rome .:-(Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was great - perfect location (took us 15 mins to find it, but that's Venice for you) only 3 or 4 mins from St Marks Square so bang in the middle, near some great restaurants too. The staff were very friendly - very helpful in booking tables and finding stuff. The room was clean and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was great. Plus the […] breakfast was great - as much as you can eat with great coffee. The only reason I've given an overall rating of 4 rather than 5 is cos the room was a long thin one with two separate single beds, so we had to push them together - tight squeeze! But it was a great hotel and I'd love to go back.

"God service, men ringe morgenkaffe"
Udmærket lille hotel med fin beliggenhed, venlig og god service, ganske god morgenmad, men ringe, tynd kaffe, hvilket er det eneste alvorlige kritikpunkt fra vores side.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A perfect hotel for couples in the heart of Venice"
This small hotel is perfectly situated near the St. Marcus Square and it is a price-worthy choice! Many sights are within walking distance. We found the hotel staff to always be friendly and helpful. The rooms are rather small, especially the shower, but overall the rooms are both cosy and clean. We had our own toilet! The breakfast buffe was a bit […] limited, but sufficient. To summarize, we can really recommend this charming hotel for couples who are planning a stay in the most romantic city in Europe!
"Good location, near st Markus square"
The Hotel is allright if you want to just sleep there. Our room was really small and the Walls were dirty. Breakfast wasn't what we expected but enough to start a new day. Staff was helpful and spoke English quite well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hyvä sijainti ja aamianen, pieni huone"
Hotellin sijainti on rauhallinen ja nähtävyyksiin nähden on hyvä. Hyvä siivous. Ystävällinen palvelu. Lähikaduilla ei ole nimikylttejä, ensikertaa vaikea löytää. Aamiaisbuffa on kohtuullisen monipuolinen, joskin vain kylmiä ruokia.
"Fantastic 1st trip to Venice :-)"
1st trip to Venice and the hotel was placed in a ideal spot about 2 mins away from San Marco square, the hotel was clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I wouldnt advise families to stay as the hotel is quite small and would be a bit of a struggle, but anyone else give it a go :-).

A quaint cheerful experience in the heart of venice. My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a little small but... You are in the heart of venice, space is at a premium. Literally 2 minutes from San Marco square. Again the bathroom was small but see prior comment. Extremely clean, good continental breakfast. No tea/coffee in room but from my experience, this is a British tradition not European so can't complain. Late check out and you can leave your bags. I would recommend to anyone xxx

Me and my partner have just returned from a weekend in venice .. This hotel was perfect for location ... You walk out the front and you are less then 5 mins away from St marks square , 7 mins from Rialto bridge ... The staff are friendly and helpful The rooms are clean and tidy .... The bathroom is very small not much room when you sit on the toilet and very tight squeeze to get into the shower ... But your in venice to be out of your hotel and seeing the sights .... Perfect location for any trip to Venice
Hotel had no hot drink facilities in the room only in reception and then it was only at certain times, the views outside the windows were not fantastic they were either a brick wall or another window! The hotel was very clean wouldn't recommend a family staying there
"Great location, friendly staff, great price"
We have just returned from a 4 day trip to Venice. We stayed at the Bridge, which is 5 minutes walk from San Marco. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location very convenient for San Marco and also for the Water taxi. The rooms at the front can be a bit noisy as voices on the street seem to carry through the double glazed windows but it isn't too much if a problem. The rooms are clean and very nice and I would be happy to recommend this hotel.
"Amazing value right in San Marco"
Positioned perfectly behind the San Piazza, I booked the Hotel Bridge via Wowcher. It was my first time using an online voucher site but I was blown away by it. Clean, safe and super helpful. When you're in Venice you want to see Venice. We didn't spend much time in the room so things like Italian only tv channels and tight bathroom arrangements were no bother. If you want a cheap hotel, in the middle of it all I'd recommend you at least consider it. Oh and if you are going to Venice, even though you probably know about it, go find Alfredino's take away pasta - by far the best pasta I've had (other than Nonna's)! Enjoy!
"Would go back"

This little hotel is perfect for a short stay in Venice. We had room 1 which is small but beautifully decorated, it was toasty warm too. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Occasionally there is a little smell as another reviewer has mentioned but it's Venice, you would get smells even in the most expensive of places. The bathroom is small but well equipped; hair dryer, radiator, shower and towels. It's only 5 minutes walk maximum from St Marc's square and the little bridge you cross to get the the square is next to the bridge of Sighs. There's a small restaurant next door run by very nice people where lots of locals eat and it has free wifi, the food is good and very reasonably priced. A word to the money conscious, the closer you get to the square the more expensive everything is but not necessarily better, there are lots of little restaurants, bars and shops by this hotel with the same goods at half or less of the prices.

Stayed for three nights from the 19th Nov, room 9 what a little gem.All the main sights within a few minutes walking.Yes it was a bit on the dark side in the room, but its a 1300 year old building which for us just added to the charm of staying there. If we were to be critical you would have to have a sense of humour regarding the size of the shower cubicle , apart from that lovely family run hotel. So if you want a centrally located budget hotel then we would recommend it.
"Location Amazing if you want to Explore Venice"

This is in lots of ways a great little hotel. It is probably about a minutes walk to the Bridge of Sighs and 2 minutes walk to St Marc's Square. There are lots of little cafe's and restaurants near it. Some of the reviews have been less than complimentary about this hotel but it is actually very very good value for money. The room we had was a little bit on the dark side because it faced into the "road/pathway" next to it. All the buildings are really tall and so the light is a bit restricted but that is the nature of the building and the fact that the city is ancient. If you need to stay in a light, bright hotel it would be best to pay a massive price and stay on the waterfront or go to Venice Mestre or Lido with modern hotels. The room and bathroom was very clean. Nice sheets, pillows and spotless. The walls were also covered in a fabric rather than paint or paper giving a traditional and luxurious feel. The breakfast was nice too and the staff polite and helpful but with limited language skills I couldn't ask about fire escapes. The breakfast room and tables are small but the food nice. Two things I was a little uncomfortable about in this hotel was the fire access. No smoke detectors in the rooms and no fire escape that we could find. No plan on the back of the door either. We made our own evacuation plan and I would suggest other guests do this. The other thing is that to the second floor is a huge long, steep staircase, which is really only for the fit and able, so this hotel will not suit everyone. Ask for rooms on the first floor. These are a) safer b) have easier access. Given that fire is a huge issue in this city, with the wooden building structure and limited street access, too narrow for fire engines, this is concerning.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel during a 2 night stay in Venice for our anniversary. The trip itself was a wowcher deal and if i'm honest it was much better than I thought it would be!! I would certainly recommend wowcher to anyone. The only real downside was that Treviso airport is further away, but truth be told the travel was easy. There was a bus company at the airport that dropped us off at Piazzale Roma bus station, which took about 40 minutes and then there was a quick trip on the boat taxi to go round to the San Marco stop. It was much simpler than I imagined! Finding the hotel was easy its literally 3 minutes from the sea front, and the same distance from Saint Marks square. We stayed in room number 7 and it was lovely! Alright it wasn't 5* and modern but it was what we expected. I found it refreshing to be around traditional Italian decor and thought it added to the experience. The bathroom was small similar to the room size but we only used it for sleeping and showering, so it doesn't really bother me personally. Everything was clean and to a high standard though and every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful offering recommendations for restaurants and offering to keep our luggage safe while we went and explored. The breakfast area is small but it wasn't intimidating and horrible as you would expect. There was a good selection of food for breakfast mainly cereals, bread, and croissants which is also what you expect for a small hotel. Overall our stay was lovely and I definitely recommend a trip to Venice!!
