We were disappointed we thought we would have an ocean view room. It was not what we saw on line. There was no place to lay on the beach and the pool was okay. We were so far away from downtown and so there were no place to eat breakfast/lunch. It was to dark and to walk at night and did not fill safe to do that. The hotel food was so expensive and […] they did not offer coffee or any complimentary foods. We were charged $50.00 for a small buffet of food which they did not tell us the price until after they served us. They made us fell like it was part of the first day stay with them.We paid $75:00 for a small supper one night. I had bread ,cheese ravioli and two glasses of wine. My husband had soup ,salad and 2 beers The resort was beatiful but unless you want to just camp out in your room and pay for expensive meals i would not stay there. This was are first trip to Nassau and it really ruined part of are vacation. We saw other places to stay with a nice beach to lay on and enjoy. Read more

the cab driver was shocked we weren't staying on paradise island.....the marley resort is lovingly cared for....beautiful landscape, lovely rooms, nice small bar.....although you can order drinks anytime.....great poolside, on a very short rocky beach but you can sit on the sandy beach next door...but small beach .......lovely restaurant....very helpful […] staff......... in a funky location....you can take the bus during the day which is affordable at $1.25 anywhere....cabs are very expensive.....and not much is around the marley......except a grocery......slim pickings with the restaurants in the area...we did take $20 cab ride up to compass point and had a great meal and went back the next day to love beach which is awesome!!! great snorkeling off love beach........be very careful at night......it is recommended never to walk alone esp at night and to really stay put at night.......danger lurks get your credit card warmed up before you come......nassau is expensive!!! this island should be deeply ashamed of the water issues (fresh clean safe drinking water) and beyond belief that recycling is non-existent this resort is not downtown which is the reason we choose it....downtown is noisy and busy.....this is a mellow spot with easy bus access............ the fish fry is a racket!!!! and all the locals recommend and I would not venture.........a tourist trap.......smoking is everywhere and a bit annoying if you don't partake........ We were in the Royal Rita room at the Marley and our balcony doors opened to the pool and the ocean. We left the doors open at night and we could hear the ocean waves all night long. I never dreamed of such beautiful scenery. The hotel is small, quaint, quiet and far away from town and Atlantis. That was fine with us! We were looking for something that was small, peaceful and quiet and we were not disappointed. From the beautiful views to the friendly staff, the Marley resort was exactly what we were looking for. The food was amazing and it was a 15-20 minute cab ride to Atlantis when we wanted more excitement. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Marley Resort. The rooms are stunning, large, quality furnishings, with hi def tv's, Bose stereo, beautiful wooden floors and tasteful oriental rugs, gorgeous four poster bed and the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on in any hotel. Only one complaint: The shower was never hot. We tried running it for a long time as suggested by the staff, but still not hot. The sink and tub both had hot water, but not the shower. My husband suspected the valve was loose or something. The restaurant has amazing potential but is just missing the mark. We ate in the courtyard and in the One Love dining area that sits with an ocean view. The food is good, but typical Bahama fare, with typical high price tag. The service was lacking for the price of the entrees. We ate at Compass Point as well, similar pricing, also beautiful setting, but the service was first class. A great place for people who like a very quiet hotel but doesn't care about food. Access to down town very easy and convenient through a very great bus system with roughly no wait. You also need to like Bob Marley's music! Music all day long. Nice Beach and small pool + hot jacuzzi. Rooms on the water front have a very nice view with a balcony. Breakfast […] is minimum as well as lunch. Not too expensive though compare to the island practice which is expensive overall for the quality. For dinner we recommend to go down town. When we visited, the hotel was sort of under reconditioning. the Spa was under repair, the Jacuzzi was closed. The Waiters was a bit inexperienced but very nice and tried their best.

The Marley Hotel is a small lodging in the Cable Beach section of New Providence. One of the best parts of the hotel is its intimacy: there are fewer than twenty rooms on the property. The hotel is also located on the ocean, so sitting by the pool and watching the waves break a few feet below you is one of the most relaxing experiences available in […] Nassau. Be warned, though, that there is only a very small beach available, and the tide often renders this section unusable. In terms of location, the Marley is a convenient distance from other resorts such as the Sheraton and the Hilton and from downtown Nassau, and frequent buses are available until 7 PM. After that time, a fairly pricey taxi ride can get you from point to point. There are several restaurants within walking distance, but a lack of sidewalks makes walking an adventure. By taxi or bus, downtown Nassau is approximately twenty minutes away, and Paradise Island (the location of Atlantis) is slightly farther. Since the Marley is situated away from the main stretch of resorts, you are afforded privacy and quiet unlike anywhere else I have stayed in Nassau. However, as is often the case in the Bahamas, the service at the hotel can occasionally be lacking. For instance, it is not uncommon to to wait nearly thirty minutes for dinner and drinks to be served in the hotel's restaurant, despite the pacuity of other diners. In addition, we requested a taxi one night for dinner, and then waited for fifteen minutes before a hotel employee informed us that no taxi had been called. To her credit, though, the employee did immediately rectify the mistake. Overall, the staff was helpful, but do not exect immediate service (here or anywhere else in the Bahamas). Our room was clean and well-maintained for the time we spent at the hotel. We had a view of the central garden area, a queen bed, and a bathroom. Most things about the hotel were nice. Decor was lovely, staff were friendly and attentive. The pools are too small to swim in and there is no beach to speak of, but all in all, I would have given it a higher review if it weren't for the ants. This was my 8th time in Nassau and I decided to take a chance on this place. I told my girlfriend that it was either going to be really bad or really great.
