      PERFECT LOCATION! Nice quiet area on the edge of Gamla Stan. AMAZING BREAKFAST EACH MORNING!!!! Sausage, Bacon, Scrambled Eggs, Crepes, juices, coffee, and also traditional European Breakfast (meat slices, breads, cheese, etc...) I loved eating breakfast by the windows looking out at the frozen bay and all the cool ships and buildings. I was however a tad disappointed I had a room facing a gangway... but, next time I'll be sure to ask for a better view room. I definitely felt I had a more unique stay in Stockholm here than in a traditional Sheraton or something, and really enjoyed the area it was in. I would definitely stay here again next time!!!! Yes, the rooms are small... but, you're staying in a piece of history, and you're really there to see Stockholm!!!

    On driving into this hotel, I did not see any family's or ladies, all I saw was men. I looked at the license plates on the cars and they were from all the Baltic countries except Denmark, Finland, Germany and Sweden. I asked for a private room with bath, I received a non private room and with NO bath., I had to walk down the hall, to a public bath. […] In good faith, I cannot recommend this hotel.     The hotel is as it describes, no more, no less. As stated in other reviews, the rooms are modest in size (I have been in smaller in Sweden) and the walls are not thick (but this was no problem, I was only aware of faint sounds from other guests). I also noticed that there are a few larger rooms. Rooms are in a series of chalets, each of which has, I […] believe, a small kitchen, including a communal fridge in the one I was in. Room cleanliness was fine. Breakfast selection was decent and a fair deal at 60 crowns, and the pool table, internet area, vending machine and so on all fine too. There were even a couple of shelves of books to borrow from. Access only really by bus or car (and if driving, do not use the official address, see the map, as it is off the highway, and up a hill. Nice location in lightly treed area, even hares jumping around. Staff were coolly friendly, very normal for Sweden. My only limitations were (a) that the room was over-heated on arrival, but that was easily fixed, and (b) the pillow was bad, decent pillows are something every hotel should have. Some, notably used to USA standards, might be surprised at the narrow, thin-mattress, beds, but these are common in many European countries. Overall, a rare balance of economy and acceptable comfort for somewhat expensive Stockholm. Read more

    The reception guys were very helpful ! They removed the computer for net browsing couple of months back as no one needed them as everyone travles with his/her own laptop and the reception areas is connected with wi-fi. It would be a good idea to keep one or two terminals for guys who travel without laptops.

    The surrounding was fine but there was very strong smell of severage in the room and entire block which we were give 601. We informed the management but still nothing was done and because of the unpleasant smell my spouse became sick getting nausea which according to health and safety the severage must be cleaned.     i stayed just one night there. and left early morning..i liked it. room was nice. location was quiet and far from stockholm. parking was free. in the night some sounds of runnig cars perhaps motorway..but its relevant only if you have a very very sensitive sleep, otherwise no noises. door and window was not very sound-proof, but there was not much noise-making […] anyway. breakfast was compromising, and costs about 60 krones, but was kind of ok for that price. location not good for city.tours etc. but a quite and nice place to spend night during a journey.     Helt greit for sitt bruk. Det er et vandrehjem, men det hadde vært allright å kunne låse døren når man tar seg en dusj alene på natten... Flott beliggenhet dersom man vil bo billig i nærheten av Friends Arena.

    Som rubriken antyder så funkar det. Det funkar om du ska ha en säng för en natt eller två. Var själv på konsertresa och skulle till Friends Arena och för det ändamålet var Solna Hotell och Vandrarhem klockrent. 20 minuters gångväg från arenan. Rummen ligger i längor som är modifierade baracker. Rummen är små och sängarna håller inte den högsta kvaliten. […] "Kabel-tv:n" på rummet bestod i mitt fall av en väldigt liten svartvit 14" med endast 1an, 2an och 4an. Men jag var ju inte där för att se på tv. Frukosten som man kan köpa för 60:- var en nedbantad "vanlig" hotellfrukost. Helt ok och det mesta fanns med. Området är toppen och som jag tidigare skrev.     Lyhört, vi hade turen att inte ha folk i vår barack som skulle festa hela natten så vi fick sova. Det är väldigt lyhört. Det tar ca 15-20 min att gå till Friends Arena vilket är bra. Bilen parkerar man gratis vi hotellet. Lätt att hitta till. Extra smidigt om man kommer norr ifrån. Övrigt vet jag inte, vi kom sent och åkte tidigt för vi skulle bara […] se Brucan.     Bli inte avskräckt av utseendet på detta hotell. Rummen är rena och sängarna är sköna. Skicket i korridorer och kök skulle kunna vara bättre men funkar med tanke på hur billigt det är att bo där. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam. Frukosten för 60 kr var bra med tanke på det låga priset. Vi är nöjda!

    Detta ställe fungerar bättre på sommaren. Under denna kalla årstid fryser man på toaletten och i duschytrymmen. Fanns ingen värme överhuvudtaget i de delade ytrymmena. Rummen i sig var varma och fullt godkända men sängarna behövs bytas ut för det fanns ingen komfort. Jag kommer inte att bo här fler gånger

    Rummen var rena och fräscha, vi hade badrum i vårt rum som var ganska så litet men det var fräscht! Lite lyhört i korridoren men vaknade inte en enda natt utav oljud, man märkte mest av det under dagarna. Runt omkring hotellet var det skog så det kan vara lite läskigt på nätterna om man är ute då. Tog taxi till city för 200 kr, då vi inte hittade bussen […] som gick. Sista dagen gick vi 15 minuter till pendeltåget istället (ulriksdal) Men är nöjd med hotellet i helhet. Absolut värt om man vill spara pengar och inte bryr sig om att man får pendla in till city, vilket inte tar lång tid. Read more
