Atrium Fashion Hotel - Budapest

Good location, very close to Metro station (and thus reachable in an hour from the airport by public transit). Hotel prepared early-departure breakfast for me. Good Internet connectivity. Rooms are on the small side, but sufficient. Requires cash deposit for minibar.

January is not the main tourist season here and this was my third visit at the hotel. Still I was given a room where i could hardly turn around and simply had no place to put my computer down. That was disappointing even though when I asked I was given a larger room. As the name hints most of the rooms are looking at the atrium and have non-opening […] windows. In my room the bathroom had no separate ventilation, i.e. ventilates into the room which itself is not well ventilated. Housekeeping was somewhat spotty but reasonably clean. I like to have coffee maker in the room but one day they forgot to replenish it. The front desk helped out Breakfast is plentiful if not exciting. Nice small hotel. I like design of the hotel, I like location of the hotel - just 15 minutes walk to Vaci Utca, I like the breakfast I do not like polyvinyl under a bed sheets, I do not like bathroom door just half a meter away from bed... All in all, I guess this is not 4* hotel, rather 3*.

I had looked forward to my stay at this hotel because I had heard of it on my last visit to Budapest. It did not quite live up to my expectations, but it was probably a case of having expected too much. Nothing to fault--just not overwhelming. The reception was a bit chilly, with no welcoming attitude. The breakfast was adequate but not as good as the buffet at my previous hotel. Convenient location one block from major transportation hub with Metro, tram and buses. Just 2 blocks from the beautiful New York Cafe (well worth seeing and enjoying lunch, coffee, tea or some ice cream concoction there). I would stay at the Atrium again if the price is right. The hotel staff were eager to please and the public areas of the hotel are very pleasant--a light, airy atrium. This very chic property is conveniently located three minutes from the subway, trains, and busses. The front desk people were effective, friendly, and very helpful. We really felt like we were getting "inside" information, espcially to some great off-the-path eateries. Excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms are a little small but very functional.

Very modern and convenient. Within walking distance to waterfront and shopping. Staff was excellent! Great breakfast included. Was a little difficult to find--but only due to my not knowing anything about the city. Metro was only a couple of blocks away as well as great food. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was not any "continental", it was disappoint, and had no variations in four morning we were there The price was not expensive but the hotel in all was not any four star hotel eighter.

Reading the reviews on tripadvisor about this hotel, i thought i'd take a punt on the Atrium. The reviews were very much a mixed bunch. The location is fantastic, in the heart of Budapest, and yet secluded enough as to get a good nights sleep. I was baffled by comments about outside traffic noise, this was completely untrue. Breakfast was good, from croissants to cereals, as well as a platter of cold meats and cheeses. There is a but however. The rooms were stifling. The lack of an outdoor window was undesirable however the real gripe was more to do with the stuffiness of the room. Whilst the decor / amenities / en suite were of a high standard, the "air conditioning" was almost non existent, an 'old school' dial that reminded me of decades ago. For early october, it was just comfortable enough, however I would not recommend this in the summer months. The hotel looks nice, the rooms are small or larger up-front. It's an ok hotel, apart from the central airco system which they cannot switch off. It is like a hoover in your head after a while. Har bott på hotellet flera gånger tidigare och varit nöjd varje gång. Trevligt bemötande, bra frukost, fin service att under dagen erbjuda kaffe och juice i matsalen/baren.
