at this hotel. We actually had booked and paid for a room at the LaQuinta 1/2 a mile away but after seeing it and the type of people there (particularly the open doors to the outside) chose to not stay. The Holiday Inn was clean and neat. Our room was quiet even though it was on the outside next to the highway. The indoor pool and spa were a plus as […] well as the wonderful breakfast. The location isn't the best however, since it is an enclosed hotel, felt safe. We asked if a paknplay for a baby was available and were informed it would be an additional $10. However, in the room listing of services it is listed at no charge - there is a $10 fee for a rollaway. Also, the corridor carpet on the second floor needs to be replaced. The front desk personel was excellent and friendly. The room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable! The location was great, as it was right on I 30. We were within 20 minutes of everything we wanted to do in the Dallas area! Highly recommend. I enjoyed my stay in Dallas at the Holiday Inn Express. The location was very convenient to all the museums, zoo, and even fair park. The price didn't break our budget, and the room had plenty of space and was very clean!

It was a really nice stay. The staff was friendly and professional and very helpful figuring out where to go and how to get their. First couple of days I took a taxi downtown, which never cost me more than $20 per trip. Once I figured out the bus schedule and route, I took that as it was only $5/day. I am not a fan of low toilet, lower than those you get in a home. I am really not a fan of a toilet seat that does not stay put when you sit on it. The room given to me was near the ice machine, work out room and front desk. The ice machine would stick and people would bang on it and you can hear it from that room. We stayed on New Year's Eve, so the hotel was completely full. Check in was a breeze and front desk was very helpful. Our room was missing a hair dryer, and the lady at the front promptly located one and brought it to our room. She also gave my hubby directions later that evening. Booked a king bed room a month in advance, get to our room an it's to queen beds. Called down to the front desk and they told me they didn't have any more king bed rooms available. So finally the lady called the manager and we were upgraded to a "king suite." Some suite.... Horrible! Overall a good hotel, nice rooms and good breakfast. Unfortunately, we stayed during their scheduled trim repaint. I have a 3 yr, and a 5 yr old, both at the the height of the trim. The only REAL complaint I have is that they added an additional charge to my stay, but are unable to tell me why.

When i first arrived at the hotel they had a room reserved for me which was not the one i asked for. I was told they did not have any other rooms which i asked for and that they were not able to switch it in the computer. So having no other choice i went to the room i was given to find that it was already occupied. This was a great hotel. It was very clean throughout the hotel...lobby, pool, exercise room, and room. It offered a great free breakfast. The hotel is located minutes away from downtown, a nearby mall, movie theater, and plenty of restaurants. All of this for a very low price... I couldn't ask for a better hotel.

The hotel.does not appear to be properly maintained as there is evidence of flaking paint and stained drywall aroun the windows in our room. The biggest problem became evident when we went to bed and tried to sleep. Just when you could start to doze off - Bang! the slamming of the exit door at the end of the hall shattered the relative quiet and was […] quite startling. Apparently the exit door closer was not functioning causing the door to slam loudly each time someone entered or exited. Additionally the doors to the individual rooms also slam loudly each time they are used resulting in loud disturbance to any attempt to rest or sleep. The rooms are not well sound proofed at all. This hotel has a thin veneer of acceptability but is really on a downward slump. The quality is leaving quickly. Read more

The hotel was very clean and well kept. Rooms were large and beds comfortable. Continental breakfast was adequate. The staff was friendly and pleasant. My only complaint is that apparently the owner of the hotel had worked out a deal with a tree service company to allow them to park their fleet, when not is use, in the parking lot. I counted over 50 […] spaces taken up by the large trucks. We could not ever find a spot and had to park across the street at a grocery store. This was a true inconvience with 3 children and a weekend of luggage. When we complained to the front desk, he shrugged and said he was very sorry. I know it was not a front desk clerks decision to allow them to park there so shame on the owner for being so thoughtless to his paying customers! Read more
