Excellent service from both front desk and kitchen/restraurant staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly despite our 1am check-in, sitting down for brunch 5 minutes before closing, and checking out late.

this is a beautiful hotel. The room was great. Bed was a little firm for my taste, but I slept fine. Service was superb. bathroom was very clean. coffee was great. Easy to get to.

Nice and clean, but worst bed I ever slept on. My family as a whole could not sleep on the beds. Disorganized front lobby. Couldn't tell where the lobby ended and the restaraunt started. Breakfast too expensive.

Bed was a foam mattress with a thin sheet and a comforter (no duvet cover). Room smelled like chemicals and carpet appeared very dirty. I've stayed at this hotel many times before and felt it was very clean and comfortable. However, I think it is getting a bit dated and used in the interior. They need to clean / update the interior.

We love this hotel. But most of the time it's booked or very expensive compared to other hotels in town. Stayed over Sunday and Monday. Place was nice as always.

I was impressed. Coffee and water selections in the lobby was very convenient and nice. It snowed several inches during our stay and a staff member watched for when guests would leave and would then shovel us out of the parking lot space. Very helpful on a day when it just wouldn't stop snowing! Comfortable room, overall a worry free and relaxing two nights.

This is my favorite hotel in Ames. It is always clean and the help is very friendly. They have coffee, tea, water, and hot cocoa available in the lobby plus you have a Keurig in your room. I also like having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The hotel has a restaurant and bar that is nice as well.

Outstanding facility and service. Breakfast option is a tad spending so we ate off site. Nice big rooms with frig and microwave that came in handy. Found it strange that the hair dryer is in a bag hanging on the back of the bathroom door. The dryer bangs around when the door is opened or closed, wakes you up at night when the spouse goes in.

I had an excellent experience at the Hilton Garden Inn in Ames. The hotel is relatively close to town, just a few miles west. The hotel was very nice, and looked almost new. The room was very nice and clean. I have not one negative word, and one comment: it would be nice if breakfast was included with the stay.

room not same as advertised does not have seperate living room also was dirty.ice cream in fridge,kleenex's in chair,popcorn in bed,carpet not vacumed,dirty coffee cup. i complained and took cup to front desk they really took care of me i got a free bottle of water from their pantry!!! yes!! no i will not stay again i visit family in area twice a year ill never stay there again. the help didnt even seem to care like it happens all the time.

I enjoyed the hotel while I was there. The room was very nice and spacious. The hotel staff were very nice. The only complaints I have is the bed was as hard as a rock and at checkout I find out you could adjust the bed to whatever firmness or softness you wanted. Would have been nice to have been told that at check in or at least have a sign on the bed with directions. The other complaint is having to pay almost $11 for breakfast that you get free at most hotels.

Our room was dirty- dust and cobwebs on ceiling the mirrors looked like they hadn't been cleaned. Waited along time to have some one wait on us at breafast our waitress was talking to a table for over 15 minutes. Also bar was out of many types of liquor and bar tender seemed not to know much about making drinks.

I reserved a room with 2 Queens, when I arrived they had me in 1 king. I was traveling with my 19 yo son, so wasn't that big of a deal, but to offset my displeasure, the receptionist gave us 2 free breakfast buffets. That was very nice and we appreciated it, as they didn't have to. Excellent service all together and nice people.

The hotel was easy to find and in a good location. The pool was closed for cleaning, that was disappointing. Couldn't swim in the morning because it doesn't even open til 9am. Ok to stay for a short visit

As ISU alums we enjoy coming to Ames and talking to the staff about what's going on on campus. The only reason I gave a 4 for cleanliness was because we found a hotel laundry bag in the closet that had underwear in it. Otherwise, the room was spotless.

We liked the hotel a lot. The price, cleanliness and staff, we will make Hilton Garden Inns one of our favorite hotels to stay in when traveling. They had me when I saw the KEURIG coffee maker! LOL

The hotel was very nice and clean but the water pressure was terrible. Our toilet was clogged up in the first hour there. Maintenance got right on it and fixed it in about an hour but shortly after they left it clogged again and it seemed to be detaching from the floor. They switched my room right away but later that night that toilet wasn't flushing so we just used the one in the lobby rather than dealing with switching rooms again or having maintenance come up so late at night. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean and the beds were comfy.

Nice hotel, staff was very kind and helpful. Remembered us the next day. Noisy in the hallways at night, though there were high school kids staying there for a program.

I've stayed at a lot of hotels (7 on this trip alone) and this is almost the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Clean, up to date rooms with everything you could need and a lot of what you'd want make for a lovely night. The hotel staff is friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable about the area. They made finding a place for dinner with our dietary restrictions a BREEZE and worked hard the next morning to get us a good breakfast--making special meals kid sized. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be back.

Closet door off hinges, bathroom exhaust fan did not work. Internet connection was a joke. Hot tub out of order and no maintence person ion facility.
