"Cleanliness Is Everything"

The stay here was incredible. From the initial great service at the front desk and free wine between 5-6 pm, the stay started off great. It's right in midtown near a bunch of great restaurants, and they have a free shuttle that takes you within a three mile radius, putting you right downtown in the middle of the action. "Great hotel with shuttle service!"
Four of us stayed at the Hutton. The draw was the shuttle service (anywhere within a 3 mile radius), since we did not have a car. The minute we arrived we knew that our stay would be top notch. Bellhops were extremely polite and when a cab was needed, we never had to wait more than two minutes. We utilized the concierge, they were most helpful in choosing […] restaurants, etc. and were happy to make all reservations. This hotel is very hip and although our room was somewhat on the small side....our bathroom was to die for, especially the "rain" shower. Our last night there we got in late and decided to order a burger from 1808 and bring it to our room. Best burger I ever had, and the garlic fries were delish! had to call when room not cleaned by 5:30 pm. Housekeeping under staffed? We were sent a bottle of wine for the inconvience. Turn down room service was a hit and miss! But great when we had it. The hotel room was wonderful. The staff very courteous and friendly. On check-in, a staff member found out my wife and I were there celebrating our anniversary. Great staff. Very accommodating. Only problem was the desk person failed to explain a hold on my credit card for any possible damage to the room upon our check out. The Hutton is by far the best place to stay while visiting your kid at Vandy. The Loews down the street was just remodeled but still isn't as nice as the Hutton. Hotel staff was very courteous and professional as were the shuttle drivers. We were upgraded to a suite secondary to being an Expedia Elite Plus member and while this room was nice we did not like the fact that you had to put your room card into a slot in order to use the lights and we also thought the room was a little dated. The shower was also different […] in that you had to turn it on outside the stall and no adjustments could be made while showering unless to stepped back out of the shower. We did however like the showerhead being directly overhead. The TV's were irritating as they always started with the same movie preview versus just turning on to a normal channel. It only runs until 10:30 pm, so we had to taxi back a few times, but taxis are relatively cheap and easy to find. "A bit disappointed"
I read so many positive reviews about this hotel. When we got there I was shocked over the price of parking $24 a day, $30 for valet. The they took a $100 security deposit for each person and it takes 3 to 5 business days to feet it back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Everything was great except for the fact that someone had opened an expensive bottle of wine and it was opened up in the fridge. Also, there was construction going on that woke me up very early after a night on the town after a concert. Hutton Hotel is a beautiful hotel in downtown Nashville. We stayed there in July. The efficient and courteous valet staff met us right away when we drove up to the hotel, opening our doors and unloading our luggage. They quickly explained our choices of parking our van. As we walked into the hotel, any staff that was not busy with a customer, spoke […] to us or at least smiled at us. The concierge was very helpful. She let us know that the hotel provided transportation to downtown Nashville or up to a mile or two from the hotel. She also provided printed directions to and from any location we asked about. Our stay at the Hutton was perfect. The hotel and the room itself were absolutely beautiful. Everyone from the concierge to valet to room service were so kind and polite and helpful. We were able to check in early and check out late, and it was no problem at all. Generally the hotel was amazing. The staff was helpful and responsive, the room was clean. The only complaint I have is that once I arrived I tried to book a massage for the next morning and couldn't because the concierge who books them had no way to notify the therapist. I had tried to do this immediately upon arrival, but the concierge wasn't available […] and then an hour later was told it was too late. He didn't offer to try in the morning and there was no process set up to notify the therapist. I can't believe that this is the first time this has happened. "Not what we expected"
My wife and I booked a 3 night stay at The Hutton based on the 4 1/2 star rating and positive referrals from other parties. We spent a little extra money, expecting a larger, more luxurious room, since we would be there for 3 nights. As it turned out, the room was much smaller than expected and barely any space to move around. The bathroom was tiny […] and offered no counter space for toiletries, hair dryer etc. In addition, the TV kept freezing up and the channel changing procedure and guide is archaic. The staff is definitely polite and courteous, but the hotel and restaurant just wasn't what we expected. I'm told The Loews is a step up, which is located about 2 blocks away. My wife and I decided to go on a last minute day trip to Nashville and decided to stay at the Hutton hotel from the reviews on hotel.com as well as the WSJ. We were greated instantly and helped quickly to check in even though was earlier than normal check in time. The room had plenty of room for the two of us and the bed was very comfortable. Only negative […] part of stay was two individuals at the valet stand. The hotel has a van service that will drive you within 3 miles of hotel (which is awesome) and I was told to call down about 20 minutes before wanting to go somewhere to make sure van was available. I called 4 times with no answer to the valet booth within a 10 minute span. I tried again 15 min later to be told that it had just left and that I would have to come down stairs to put name on list and then wait. The tone of the girl at valet stand was what threw me off but we didnt have to wait long when we were down stairs. Preston was our driver for the evening and he was so helpful in getting us to and from downtown Nashville and giving some advice on places to check out.
