ALTA Cebu Resort - Cordova

This is a very interesting place. A 3.5 star place in Cebu with rates that are very reasonable. The rooms were very clean and the staff very friendly and attentive. It's more than just a hotel but keep in mind it's landlocked and located off the beaten path. Takes about 25min to the airport and about 40min to Cebu center. For those that don't mind the […] commute (the taxis are cheap enough in Cebu) it's a great place to stay. That said, it's going to cost you 400p each way every time you go to or from the resort. The pool and grounds are very nice. The food at the restaurant was fantastic but do expect to wait for upwards of 1 hour for just about anything you order. Food was very good, rooms spacious and clean, well stocked, excellent staff. Massage prices high, only shuttle out goes at 9AM and must be booked ahead of time. Taxi back from malls or beach is around a half an hour fare. ALTA is a beautiful resort located about 10 minutes from Lapu-Lapu City and about 20 minutes from Cebu City. My fiance and I were pleased by this quiet oasis. The grounds are clean and attractive, with plenty of shade trees and walking paths surrounding the buildings. The resturaunt is good, and the service is top notch. The only drawback is that the resort does not have its own beach, but you can arrange shuttle service to visit one of the other nearby beachside resorts. If your looking for a resort on the beach then this is not for you. Its a decent place to stay for the money. The staff is very friendly. The week we stayed the had just lost their chef so the food was pretty bad. They say they have a jacuzzi but it is not a jacuzzi.

It was my frist trip to the Philippines. I was coming to meet my fiance for the first time. Her and i spent several weeks reading reviews for our most anticipated meeting. I felt as I had been forgiving of my sin's and been allowed back to "The garden of Eden". This is a magical place, that will indulged you with their friendly staff, and flora surroundings. From the maintenance Jerome, to a relaxing massge with Ada, to the friendly ladies at the front desk ( eden,edna, blonde lady-sorry forgot your name ), to Marcos,the bartender, always keeping your drink full ( in my case Rum and Coke), to the GM, to the owner Larry, it makes you feel as if you were in pandora. If you have seen the movie Avatar, then you know what I am talking about.the place is magical. I felt in love with my fiance, thanks to the beautifull place and care I got from them. Everyone was very professional and kind. I booked my stayed for 15 days, but duo to personal reasons, i had to leave a few days early. The GM, was very understanding of my situation, that he worked it out , were we were both happy. Once again, this is a very delightfull place to stay. is away from busy city , and very relaxing. Stayed at Alta Resort for 1 week in May and was very impressed with the way the staff made us feel as though we were part of their family ! We arrived early and were treated to a complimentary lunch. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was big, especially the shower. Certainly not your usual place. Rather than having a hotel room on a certain floor and wing, you are assigned your own little nipa hut (though it is attached to others, so there can be some overflow noise if your neighbors are in a partying mood). As such, they have a limited number of units, so I recommend making your reservations well in advance, […] especially during peak season. They have a private vehicle that (for a fee) can transfer you to or from the airport or other places, or can shuttle you to the local beaches. Again, reserve in advance. They offered a standard Filipino or American breakfast plate, limited but okay. They welcomed everyone in my party with a complimentary glass of juice. I had some interesting conversations with the monkeys in the mini zoo out back. Internet access worked sporadically. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The place looked like a lost episode of Fantasy Island. In a word it was beautiful. The staff was warm and friendly, and i'm sure if i needed anything special it would have been provided. I didn't get to stay my whole vacation, but the 2 days I spent there it was quiet and tranquil. Briefly - staff, as always in Philippines, very welcoming, polite, kind and hospitable. The hotel seems, however, seriously mismanaged. Expect dirty pool, expensive little restaurant, local TV stations only, erratic internet at best. The electric heater in the shower was not grounded properly, causing mild electric shocks. Considering its a 2-3 kilowat […] device, this could be potentially life-threatening. The aircon system is another failure. The moment you leave the room and take your key out of the wall socket, the aircondition goes off. That means +45 Celcius in the room when you are back, and at least an hour to cool it to 30. My two requests for the manager to contact me have been ignored. Location - remote, unsafe area on Lapulapu. Expect long taxi traveling time due to heavy traffic. Moved to Movenpick, where the price was twice as expensive but the quality of stay tenfold higher. If you are in Cebu to relax, stay away from the Alta place. Read more

I stayed at ALTA for 5 nights, the purpose of my visit was leisure and recreational scuba diving. I was impressed with the service I received upon arriving to the hotel with prompt check-in service, welcome drinks, and help to my room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and decor was well- mismatched in an island-vibe sort of […] style. It felt like a very well maintained cottage. There was a laminated info sheet on the door detailing a few services and important information but I thought a small book or binder with hotel info would have been helpful and it could have included a menu for in-room dining. The room was promptly cleaned everyday and a very generous towel-changing service. I was very impressed in this regard as well as providing free drinking water on request. The hotel food was top notch which was welcomed as the surrounding area does not offer much close by for alternate eat-out places. I would say the food was the best part of my stay. The food is also very very fairly priced and they can cater the menu to your taste/likes/dislikes quite easily. The pool was fine , a bit small when there are children playing. The outdoor jacuzzi seemed tempting until I realized it was the same temperature as the pool. Internet was available throughout the resort without any problems as was fast enough to support basic email, web-browsing functions. Spa service was good- and they were able to fit me in very promptly. My service I received was professional and one of the better massages I have had. I was a little surprised after my massage to receive a home-made envelope written on in coloured highlither stating "tip envelope." I left a tip with no thought to it as my service was good- but I was also charged a service charge on my bill. It seemed as though this may not have been standard practice? Very good price-performance ratio; extremely friendly staff; small deficiencies (where there is not) be resolved quickly; exceptionally fast laundry (in the morning brought in the evening delivered); among other free […] facilities by appointment karaoke room just for you; great food (Belgium chef who is available for special wishes / needs outside the regular menu); Filipino-German supervisor who speaks German fluently; American owner who always has an open ear for the concerns of the guests; the approach path to the Mactan airport is not really disturbing. I particularly like the shower, neat and reasonably spacious most importantly water heater is of the right temperature once turned on. The staff are friendly and . I feel very safe to travel around the resort as I travelled alone. I thought the food at the restaurant are pretty decent and tasty :)

The fact that the resort is foreign owned is re-assuring, as things seem to run more efficiently that way. Eden, the friendly lady at the front desk always has a warm smile and greeting and arranged for any small issues to be sorted out very quickly. This is a nice resort where you can relax and enjoy your time in Cebu.

This Resort is located in an area that makes you completely isolated to the hotel premisses. No matter if you are planning a trip to Philippines to explore the country or just to relax in a comfortable resort you should avoid this place. You will get much better value for money in other places.

The hotel room was very clean and very presentable. The staff was very nice and helpful with every need and want that I had wanted and needed. The hotel's location and scenary was very nice to see and be in. The bad thing is that the water was non-potable but they provided bottled water. Had to take a cab to the beaches. The hotel was just ok, there are many things to learn here. One big problem is, NO TOURS PLANED,Also we eat dinner there one time, and we got the cheepest sandwich spred you can buy in the philippins. 바다도없고무슨m.t촌도아니고 시내나가러하면택시20-30분은기본으로기다리고 박아지요금에.. 정말영아님 단 아침식사는참마음에듬 크크 하지만 돈이들더라도 유명한리조트가좋을듯

조용함의 극치입니다. 단 지리적으로 쪽 떨어져 있으나 가이사노몰까지 가는 지프니 타고 다니면 괜찮다. 한국사람이 없다. 그래서 조요하게 즐길수 있다. 아침조식으로는 치킨죽이 괜찮다.

리조트에 도착하는 순간 반겨주는 직원들의 안내를 받고 편하게 쉴수 있는 리조트 입니다. 저녁때 레스토랑에서 시킨 투데이스페셜의 스테이크는 최고였고 무료조식 또한 괜찮았습니다.

Not the best hotel ever but not that bad... You get what you pay for... The food is not so good so and the bartender is not so good on making drinks... But the rooms were fine and clean and everybody were happy and helpful....

Thıs ıs a nıce hotel.located ın a vıllage ın queıet suroundıngs. It have a swımmıng pool and a nıce garden and servıce and food ıs good !! It cost 250 pesos taxı to centra Cebu cıty ın day tıme and 500 pesos ın evnıng. But when you book thıs hotel,ıt ıs to get a good rest ın a stressy normal dayly lıfe ! I can recomand thıs hotel !!

チェックイン時に1575ペソも追加でとられたこと以外では、なかなか快適でした。ただしレストランでは3回も違うウエイトレスでしたが、オーダーを間違えました。まあ記憶力は相当悪いし、オーダーを繰り返さないので問題ありです。

周りには小さな商店すらないので、ほぼ全ての時間をホテルで過ごすなら楽しめると思います。 タクシーは呼ばないときません。 特別料金も取られるのでホテル代が安くてもトータルすると高くついたカンジです。
