"Wonderful at Mardi Gras"
My wife and I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Gonzales for two nights on the weekend before Mardi Gras. The hotel was clean, not exceptional but well kept. The room was big and comfortable and we didn't hear a peep from the neighboring rooms, which was great. The hot breakfast each morning was very good and we enjoyed the pleasant staff as well. Stay in hotels frequently but have never bothered with a review before. This was close to the worst night I have ever spent anywhere. Late in the evening, guy next door is yelling obscenities on the phone at least two different times and around midnight decides to have friends over. I finally realize something is getting at the bag of M&Ms I left on night stand. Obviously not going to sleep so I waited with my phone's camera on and actually got several pics of the mouse eating my snack. Probably slept an hour all night. Didn't call front desk because I didn't want to have to get dressed and change rooms (where there is one mouse, there are many). We were on the 4th floor and took cold showers. The hot water didn't come for 15 min. to our room 407. That is why I would not go back unless I could get a lower floor. Stayed here for four nights working locally at one of the many business over in Geismar. Breakfast was ready at 6 am and I love that. Ended up needing to check out a day early and get to Baton Rouge to catch a plane the next morning and the lady at the front desk was excellent about it. Room was clean and so was the restroom. Will gladly stay here again. Also, when I booked my room I did it the day of arrival. The lady who took my reservation took my Honors Number and booked my room when there was a cancelation. Super effective. This town has lot of hotels but they fill up quick. So if you know you are coming book early.

I book groups 8-10 times per year and Anna, the Sales Mgr. / GM was very prompt and professional. Even though there was an LSU game in town and the capacity was at the max, the hotel met all of the usual Hampton Inn standards. One nice point of staying south/ east of Baton Rouge is that you avoid all of the traffic. We will definitely stay at the Hampton Inn Gonzales the next time we are in Baton Rouge. If you like shopping the location is great for the outlet stores.

We stay at Hampton Inns quite often because we know that we will be very satisfied. Unfortunately, we were wrong about this one. Upon entering the room, it had an awful odor. Entering the bathroom, we found that the sink was dirty. After calling the front desk, we were able to change rooms. We needed a late checkout of just a few minutes and were very rudely told no. After being a little persistent were were given 30 minutes.

I travel quite a bit and I usually try to stay at Hampton Inn. The check-in experience here was indifferent and unfriendly. The pool area was in desperate need of cleaning. The room was clean. There are better Hampton Inn's in the area when doing business in the Gonzales, LA area.

The Hotel Lobby was very nice and the rooms are Very nice. The Complimentary Breakfast was Great!!! however the room could of been Cleaned better. The floor wasn't Vacuum and the head board was dirty.

The hotel was impeccably clean, the staff was outstanding and the value/vs cost is excellent. The complimentary breakfast left a lot to be desired but it is complimentary after all (still not sure what the hell a bagel topper is).

This has become my de facto hotel to stay in when I visit client's in Gonzales. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly, particularly the morning manager. She makes you feel at home and very welcome. At night they have fresh baked cookies.the fitness center is well appointed. This hotel is located close to many good restaurants and Cabela's.

Ultra clean facilities, Neutrogena soap, shampoo & conditioner (a welcome surprise for quality). Great breakfast choices. Friendly, full hotel, but quiet. Friendly staff. A definite recommendation! Gonzales, La. location in the center of shopping, restaurants and entertainment.

The Hampton Inn in Gonzales, LA is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is very nice, attentive, friendly and helpful. The room and ant ire facility is clean and well kept. This is a very pleasant and relaxing environment. The Hampton Inn in Atlanta-Marietta, however, is TERRIBLE! The staff is snippy, rude and unfriendly. They seem to have no time or desire to assist their guests. The pool was over-run with drunks who were not swimming but were loud, rowdy and obnoxious. The staff made no attempt to see that the pool (or the hotel as a whole) was a family friendly environment suitable for kids. My grandson wanted to swim but after attempting to use the pool ended up leaving after a few short minutes, scarred and crying. The rooms were dark and musty with a foul odor. The linens were worn thread bare. We stayed 3 nights and we had no maid service while there. Our trash was not emptied and my husband had to go the the front desk to request clean towels. The parking lot was dark and insecure. The was little to no parking lot lighting and lots of dark hidden corners in the parking lot. Security cameras were nonexistent. Brackets and wires were there but cameras were gone. It was very clear by actions and comments of the staff that guest security was NOT a priority at this facility! Stay away from The Hampton Atlanta-Mareitta!!!! The Hampton Gonzales, on the other hand, was great and a total opposite of the Hampton Atlanta-Marietta!

I enjoyed the workout facility, healthy selections at the complimentary breakfast, and the staff was friendly and accommodating! It made my trip to Louisiana very sweet. This is the 2nd summer in a row that I've had the pleasure to stay here.
