BTS station is near the hotel. Kind services and the room is clean and large than I expected, but the hotel need to get insect care.

We booked a twin room and when we got there they tried to give us a double. They finally gave us a room with 2 beds, but it was annoying to start. This happened to our friends also. After that our stay was good. We booked a suite which was lovely, tastefully decorated, clean and had all we needed. Internet went off occasionally but was fixed as soon […] as we rang downstairs. Breakfast was OK but was the same each day. They need to vary it , just a little. The only problem with our room was that the hot water was not hot!! I had a hot shower on the last day of our 6 day stay. Otherwisw the water was only just warm. Luckily it was so hot outside, that it didn't matter. This was a nice hotel to stay at as we had a conference to attend nearby, but I wouldn't stay there if I was visiting Bangkok to shop and relax. There's not much by the way of good shopping nearby, although the sky train is very close. I just sometimes like to go for a walk to look around, and there's not much here to look at. Read more

I know Bangkok isn't supposed to be very pretty but the area surrounding this hotel is the pits. There really wasn't much to do or see around these parts and it's pretty filthy. We were 20 ft next to a Highway and so the pollution was pretty bad. The city water smelled like sewer water which made taking a shower nearly unbearable. Astera is on a quit busy street, Sky Train and freeway, so it has it's conveniences and noises. There is plenty of places to eat close by. Not sure about the night life, cause after trudging around all day in the hear and humidity, we really didn't have the energy. We didn't use the gym facilities but needed that daily dip in the pool after our daily […] excursions. The first day it felt really cold to get in, but as the days went on we really appreciated it! Booking on line gets you a better deal - so for that money, it's on okay place. Breakfast doesn't vary that much from day to day but it fills a gap. If you want to be close to the city pulse & don't have a huge budget, this hotel may fit the bill. Located just a block from the sky-train (you dont want to be stuck in Bangkok traffic)and a few blocks from tge river (if u want to take a water taxi past the grand palace) its a great location.

Check in is a long and tedious process. Took staff half an hour to check us in with no one else waiting. Rooms are grimy but adequate. Worst was that pool and restaurant were closed all day for a staff party who blared live karoke until 11 pm outside in the courtyard. The staff were very friendly but i found the breakfast was not very good, and everywhere in the hotel (apart from the lobby) was very hot. Our room had 2 air con units but they did not work very well i turned both of them down to 10c and it made very little difference, you cannot leave the air con on when you go out of the room you you always come back […] to a baking hot room. The gym seems to be where the staff go to take their breaks. The location is not the best as outside you have a main road and a flyover and the Skytrain (although handy for the skytrain station). For a family of 5 the accommodation was good, having 2 bedrooms and a small seating/kitchen area. Breakfast was good too. The location - Excellent, a few minutes walk to the train and the river for boat trips.

They were painting our hallway when we were there, so nice to see ongoing maintainance. Staff were lovely and helpful, convenient for Skytrain and River Station. Pool was wonderful when you come back hot and sweaty from the city. Breakfast was good, nice buffet and fresh eggs station.

I was in Astera Sathorn hotel with my wife for a couple of days in January 2012. It is located in very good location. Train station is just 4 minutes walk. River is 10 minutes walk, 7 Eleven is 4 minutes, Bus stop 4 minutes. BMK is near and so many nice restaurants are nearby. The only thing bothered us was mosquitoes in our room. You will have 2 free […] packets of snacks and 2 water bottles free at your room. As compare to other mid range hotels in Bangkok, this hotel has good LCD TV with a lot of International channels. This hotel is great value for money if you are on a budget, the service is first class although the rooms are a bit on the small side. The toilet is also fairly small with an over the bath shower, but they are spotlessly clean. The restaurant is also good value for money and has a varied menu of Thai and European dishes. There is a decent sized pool which is kept clean and gets a lot if use. The only downside is there is no bar in the hotel. There are shops outside the hotel that serve soft drinks, beer and cigarettes - there is also an internet cafe which is a lot cheaper than using the hotel's service The Porter can speak good English and he will get directions for you if you have any problems. Spent 4 days here. Located in a Thai neighborhood on S Sathorn Rd, so no bars, hookers and expats like Sukhumvit, thank goodness! It was close to Sapahn Taksin, right near the BTS station and the river. So very convenient.The staff was super friendly and the rooms were a bit small but suitable and clean. Breakfast buffet was very good, with a fresh […] egg station and lots to choose from. We didn't get the package that included breakfast because we like to go out on the street and eat noodles, etc off of the carts, but we did eat there one morning and ordered room service a couple of times at night. The spaghetti with cream sauce was yummy! The pool was nice and clean, with a steam & sauna in the changing rooms. There's an exercise room too. Theres a night market with all kinds of food, trinkets, clothing and stuff on the Soi next to the bridge. There is some construction noise from 8am to 5pm on the north side of the building, so make sure you ask for a room away from the construction if you plan on being in the room during the day. Overall, the value for this place was great & I highly recommend this Hotel for anyone looking in the 1000 baht range. Read more

Nada interessante ao redor. Bom atendimento do front desk. Conseguiram um quarto bem antes do horário do check in. Vale pela proximidade aos meios de transporte públicos e pelo baixo preço. De barco você chega aos principais templos em cerca de 15 minutos. Fiquei apenas uma noite. Não voltaria.

Bodde på dette hotellet i to netter. Rommet var større enn forventet. Rommet har aircondition som er bråkete og måtte taes av om natten og dermed ble temperaturen på rommet ubehagelig høy. Bassengområdet er fint. Treningsrommet er under opppussing per 23/11-12. Ifht rengjøring fant vi hår i tannglasset og det var litt skittent rundt vasken. Det er gratis […] drikke(2 vann, 2 øl, 2 brus, snacks) inkludert i prisen. Frokosten er helt grei, de har noen varm retter, toast(hvitt brød), frukt og salat - men kanskje ikke noe for den kresne og det er lite pålegg. Personalet prøver å gjøre en god jobb og er hyggelig, men snakker dårlig engelsk og har kanskje ikke så gode lokalkunnskaper om beliggenhet på diverse steder. Hotellet ligger nærme skytrain stasjon og det er lett å få tak i taxi/tuktuk. Nabolaget er ikke så veldig fint, men føler oss likevel trygg. Det er gangavstand til butikker/spisesteder og elven (chao phraya) gjennom Bangkok. Det er trådløst nett på rommet som går raskt og er stabilt. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons perçu une certaine confusion. Visiblement, nous n'étions pas attendus.. Nous n'avons donc pas eu la chambre prévue ( 205 selon les bons remis pour le breakfeast mais 310, au bout d'une moquette d'une saleté repoussante). Problème : elle communique avec sa voisine par une porte fermée, mais pas au bruit de la TV qui se déclenche […] autour de minuit. Le lendemain, sur notre demande, changement de chambre. La 307, avec, nous promet-on un balcon sur la piscine. Problème, on ne trouve pas la clé dudit balcon. La chambre - en non smoking area comme indiqué partout - pue le tabac et impossible de l'aérer. Pour le lendemain, demande d'appeler un taxi à 8.00 AM pour l'aéroport. A l'heure dite, pas de taxi. Mais on l'appelle tout de suite. Avec les embouteillages, il faut compter au moins une heure. On nous le promet 2 fois dans 1/4 d'heure. Finalement un garçon court chercher un plan du métro et nous conseille de gagner l'aéroport par le sky train. Grâce à lui, nous n'avons pas raté l'avion. Conclusion : personnel très agréable, ce qui est le plus souvent le cas en Thailande, situation idéale mais direction lamentable. On peut facilement trouver mieux dans le même quartier. Read more

交通の便はＢＴＳ駅からも水上バス乗り場も近く大変に便利です、 駅周辺にはショピングモールやファストフードや小さな市場も有り簡単な買い物や食事には困りません、 ホテルの建物は古く設備も無いですが、小さなホテルならではのフロントスタッフとの浸しみ易さも出てきます、 朝食は町の小さなレストレンと言った感じです、豪華では有りませんが家庭的素朴な味は感じられます、 部屋の掃除は行き届いて綺麗ですが、ＴＶの設置場所が高いとか椅子無いので不便さも有りますが、値段の安さが一番の良さです。
