"Out in the boonies"
Considering this is a agriturismo hotel you would expect a more personalized attention. The rooms are awful, cheap furniture, it smells at insecticide. The place is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Not so good is the wifi that works on and off and getting there was a little difficult. But it was really worth it because of the beauty of the place and the beautiful view.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Rooms need to be updated and cleaned"
The farm has beautiful views, especially the main building. Staff is friendly. However, the rooms are so dated, dusty and haven't been aired in a while. We got a very spacious room for four but it had a very bad odor. The room had no beds, but rather a sofa that opens up. The headboard of the sofa had spider webs and a smashed spider on the wall. The […] crown jewel was a musty bed with wet stains. Apparently the ceiling was leaky. We cancelled our accommodation that night and the other two nights. To be fair, I have to add that the owner of the farm helped us to find a different hotel for that night, as it was very late at night. If you like updated and clean rooms, this is not the place for you. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing and unique experience for a good price"
We stayed for two nights, which I think was the perfect amount of time. The grounds are quite beautiful and the fact that many items they sell are produced on the property is unique. It is a bit remote, but if you are looking for a unique experience and simple, fresh, and good food, I would definitely recommend staying at Fattoria.Genuine Expedia guest review
"a gem in the hills above the amalfi coast"
We just returned from a three night stay at the Fattoria Terranvoa. This hotel was the highlight of our two week trip to Europe. The drive up to the hotel is spectacular. We are a family of five and assumed that we would have one room with five beds. In face we had an appartment with a large bedroom overlooking the Amalfi coast, a small bedroom with […] one bed and another room with a double room as well as a small kitchen. Some of the units had terraces that overlooked the coast. The Fattoria is a working farm and we awoke to roosters in the morning and wandered through the terraced areas past zucchini, beans, tomatoes etc all served at dinner. The croissants at breakfast were the best I have ever had and there is an extensive buffet for breakast that was included that was wonderful. The cuisine was superb and reasonable and Luigi the owner was unfailingly helpful and suave. Our driver for the Amalfi Coast said he takes many people up to the Fattoria for cooking classes. Through the hotel we were able to get a shuttle from the hotel to town any time we wanted for far less than the cost of a taxi. I emailed Rosa, the office person, several times prior to the visit and as we were travelling by train from Venice to Sorrento and she ensured that the very polite man who drives the shuttle was at the train station when we arrived. This is a wonderful gem for a visit to the Amalfi Coast away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Our family loved this place. It was the highlight of our 12 day trip in Italy. We loved the property but enjoyed the staff even more. My daughter and I took the pizza class with Franchecha. "A true taste of Italy"
Our overall experience was wonderful. The restaurant was so quaint, you could see the ocean from your table it was gorgeous. This farm hotel and restaurant were my favorite, the food was always above average, the staff were always helpful and friendly and the atmosphere was awesome. Keep in mind its located on a mountain in the country and to get to […] the restaurant or pool you have to walk up and down quite a bit to get to both places. "Difficult to find, terrible access, Wonderful food"
After being led up multiple dead end streets by GPS and having to reverse back we finally found the hotel. Was told upon arrival It's a problem. After signing in we were taken down to our villa, in light of the experience getting there and the roads already encountered I asked if there was a turn around area at the bottom. Was told yes so drove the […] car and baggage down. (silly, I know) As we checked out our villa, Pre 1960's building, very tired, seedy and run down. I asked about the pool (Family holiday) and was told it was 10 minutes away. I then asked where I could turn the car around and was told It's a problem. We stayed for around 15 minutes, tried to get wifi (No signal at all in our villa) and at that point decided the place just was not viable for the holiday we wanted and would try to sort out an alternative. After 20 minutes of convoluted reversing and a few scares we managed to get back to the reception building. The manageress was wonderful, told us she had nothing else however did assist in finding other accommodation in a hotel in town. We also had the opportunity to eat in their restaurant. Food was amazing. Bottom line, for a quiet, foodie couples holiday if you do not mind a slightly run down accommodation its ideal (Master bedroom has a old baby basinet in the corner) For a active holiday with older children not so much. No wifi signal was a major issue for us however the manageress / owner insisted it was there or could be fixed. Nice People! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

While the situation/location and food are really good, it is shabby. We stayed here for ten days and found the hotel very pleasent, staff are most pleasent and freindly.Reading most of the reveiws had a pritty good idea what to expect. The room was very comfy nice veiw and very clean. But very basic and down side was we were underneath other geusts which were very noisy and could hear every movement. The restuarant was very […] beautiful with fresh vegetables and fresh cut flowers everywhere. The food was great,we were a little weary of what were paying for the food as there were no menus but they give you a bill at end of your stay and your meals are 20euros regardless of what you eat pluss extra for drinks which is well priced. Was pitty we didnt no before hand though, only other down side was some comunication problems but we are out in the sticks in italy and you knd of expect it.But if there was a menu it would of been much easier.Location wise its about 15mins walk from a bus stop.We took a car and probably the best way to get around if you are brave enough to hire a car , roads and the drivers out there are terrible !it is scooter crazy out there. And traffic is unbareable only real downside to a holiday in sorrento and amalfi coast is it is so busy its untrue!

"Very unusual unforgettable place"
It's for people who enjoy the atmosphere of real Italian village and don't have idea to spend half an hour (by car or by bus on bandy mountain road) to reach very stony beach plus pay extra money for doubtful pleasure to lie on a longue in just 20 cm from somebody else. However great plus there is small but very cosy swimming pool just in Fattoria Terranova […] area. Extra for it there is fantastic high level restaurant quality food for dinner and very helpful, nice and cheerful staff. Hope soon they will improve modern facilities and make some running repairs. Anyway that's magic romantic place!!! Generally it was lovely to stay there and enjoy ourself. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent, friendly staff - Great location"
10/27/14 Ottawa10 Ottawa
We had originally booked for a weekend and had to cancel at the last minute - literally the last minute. They kept my deposit, understandably as they own a business, but when we booked again they applied the deposit to our new stay - no questions asked. Our email exchanges were all prompt and courteous. We stayed at the end of october, one weekend before they close for the winter, so the pool was closed, but looks night. The rooms are normal - nothing to write home about but you don't stay in an agristurismo for the room. We ate dinner and breakfast at the Tratorria. The food and service were exceptional. It is will located on a hillside overlooking the sea between Sorrento and Positano away from the crowds. I recommend it for anyone deciding to stay on the Amalfi Coast.

We spent four days with our two year old daughter and we had a great time. We only had dinner there once but it was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially with our daughter. Special thanks to Rosa, the owner, Anna and the handyman who were all very helpful and so friendly. We came for two days and stayed for four and would definitely recommend it!
"Don't go there"
10/01/14 Mark W
This could be such a great place but sadly it isn't. It's blessed with the most wonderful position and the reception/restaurant area is a delight. But the good news stops there. The accommodation is poor - crumbling plasterwork, dirty paintwork, ill-fitting cupboard doors, taps that don't work properly, a shower that threatens to flood because of poor drainage and so on. Worse still, we had the only poor meal in the restaurant that we had in our entire 26 days in Italy. And, unbelievably, they don't know how to make coffee. The coffee you are served at breakfast comes from one of those machines that dishes out fake cappuccinos that you find in offices. And this, in Italy! Many of the staff just seem to have given up, which isn't surprising, although special mention must be made of the odd job man/gardener who comes from Sri Lanka and who was, without fail, charming and friendly.

we booked this tasting trip through the shop at p.zza Tasso. We paid 6 euros return each for our transfer then would pay for the meal at the frattoria. The journey was lovely, views and countryside pretty and our driver was excellent. We arrive at a lovely rural setting, the factorial pretty and quirky. We had various tasting plates, then pasta dishes recommend by our host, choice of meat or fish, then a tasting plate of amazing desserts. The wine was fabulous. There was no menu with prices and we were guessing that this would be a costly trip...how wrong we were, it was one of the most reasonable meals we had in Sorrento and that was including the cost of the car. It was so lovely to get away from the buzz, eat good food in tranquil surroundings. Really glad we gave this a try

I spent an evening here for a special 4 course dinner and wine tasting as part of a group (didn't spend the night), and it was an excellent experience. The farm is in a beautiful setting, and the main building is gorgeous - multiple levels of indoor and open air dining, with live plants and bundles of drying vegetables and flowers hanging from above. Every course/item was delicious, fresh, and beautiful to look at - beautiful braided mozzarella, bruschetta, pasta, fish, etc. and each course was paired with wine that was described in detail by the sommelier. Really a special meal, would definitely recommend a visit and meal. Didn't get to see the accommodations, but based on the setting and meal I'd love to stay here too...

Spent a week here, just got back yesterday, the accomodation was terrific (Li Galli), two genrous sized bedrooms both with A/C, asnd the view - well, it is just magnificent ! We only ate once in the restaurant (our first evening) and the food was very good as was the wine, the remaing nights we ate in Sant'Agata. If you want a VERY peaceful, relaxing stay then Li Galli is a must, walking into the nearest town can be quite difficult for those with mobility problems, it is over 1km away and there are 133 steep steps to contend with up to Via Pontone that take you into town. All in all, a wonderful week at a place I would highly reccomend.
"Superb cooking lesson and meals"
08/14/14 David L Oxford, England, United Kingdom
We stayed for four nights and enjoyed the outstanding views and sumptuous multicourse dinners which were made mainly from their own or local produce. The dinners were particularly good value as half-board. During the stay we had a cooking lesson which was not cheap but we had a wonderful day with one of the daughters in the family that run the farm. She included a mozarella deomnstration and several dishes including it. The location is a quite remote but it gest you away from the quite intense hustle of the amalfi coast. We also highly recommend taking a private boat aroudn Capri which was not that much more expensive for four. They can sort all that out for you.

Spent a lovely family week here as the 'relaxing' part of a longer holiday. Very peaceful, quiet and rustic location. Basic, but clean and very adequate accommodation with terrific coastal views. Very good base for touring around Sorrento and Amalfi towns and coasts. Rosa and her team all friendly, helpful and welcoming. Great food from the quaint and floral terraced restaurant. A generous and varied breakfast buffet. Excellent value traditional and authentic Italian dinner, featuring farm produce. Happy to recommend and hope to return
"A very good stay with excellent food"
07/22/14 Lauri V Helsinki, Finland
Our family of four was booked to travel to Tel Aviv for a week, but changed it to southern Italy and Fattoria Terranova. The location of the farm is good to visit Sorrento, Positano as well as Vesuvio and the Pompei ruins. The agrofirma is located on a high hill with beautiful views to the Mediterranean sea. The drive from Napoli airport is a bit over an hour. The rooms are spread out within the area and there is a sizeable restaurant-reception building. They also have a small pool with sun deck chairs which our kids found very good and enough for them. We went to the beach, 12 km drive in Nerino, for most of the days. Rooms or better to say small flats are good size, simple, Italian style with nice paintings on the walls and cozy. They have a fridge. We have 2 kids, aged 10 and 8 and the superior room layout was just excellent with 2 bedrooms and worked well. Parking, which is a hassle often in Italy, worked well next to the room, as we had a rental, which is a must on Amalfi Coast to visit places and go to the beach. We decided on half board (20 EUR supplement a day)for most of the days and the food was just plain excellent, mainly prepared from ingredients from the farm itself. (Km 0). They also sell their own olive oil, marmelades and wine at the farm and also have a small shop in downtown Sorrento. The amount of food comes always as a surprise in Italy, also at Fattoria Terranova, but it was just excellent quality throughout the visit. Overall a very good and recommended stay. The staff of the hotel ( owners were present daily and supported with program arrangements and answered questions) was very friendly as well. Would definetely stay again at Fattoria Terranova!
