"Welcome to paradise in a log cabin"
This log cabin experience was everything we wanted. Becky and Bill are the niceest people you could ask for as hosts. Outside was heaps of wildlife and the birds were so colourful. We sat on our balcony overlooking the lake and watched nature go by. The room was fantastic with high wooden ceilings and beatiful log cabin furniture and decor. We have […] often dreamed about something like this but to stay here was perfect. Becky made great beakfasts everyday and we met other people there who were also really nice and interesting to talk to. We went fishing with Bill one day (Becky's husband and qualified outfitter) and had one of the best days ever - caught heaps, laughed a lot and seen some great scenery. At night, when we got home from the shows, we sat on the balcony with a beer an watched the lights over the lake slowley go out. After a geat day in paradise we slept effortlessly in a truly comfortable country bed. These are great people with a great place to stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A hidden jewel"

This was the second time we have booked a getaway at White River Lodge, and if anything it was better this time. Bill and Becky are fabulous hosts and the Lodge is comfortable and immaculately clean. The food is over the top. When we arrived I asked Becky if she was planning the Mexican egg casserole for one of our breakfasts and she replied that she knew I would want that! How's that for a good memory?!?! My husband booked a fishing trip with Bill and said he is probably the best guide he has ever used. We'll be back!

We stayed in the Pond Room of the White River Lodge for two nights November 29, 2013 in celebration of my husband's birthday. We wanted to stay somewhere small, far from the madding crowds of Branson. The Lodge was perfect. A rustic log lodge nestled in the hills overlooking Table Rock Lake about two miles south of the Lone Creek Bridge. The owners are friendly but unobstrustive, and the breakfasts prepared by owner Becky plentiful and good. Our room had its own bathroom--all the rooms there have their own--and the TV was located in a living room. The view of the Lake was spectacular and the east setting provided beautiful sunrises. If in the area, take time to tour Dogwood Canyon and take the 2-hour tram ride. Besides seeing stunning scenery, you get to get up close and personal with deer, elk, and bison!
"Lovely stay, beautiful views"

We needed a quick weekend getaway and booked last minute trip to the Branson area. We are not typical Branson-type travelers in that we wanted mostly to do some outdoor-type activities and avoid the strip and shows. The White River Lodge was a great place to unwind. The amenities are absolutely beautiful. The owners of the lodge spent a great deal of time creating rustic getaway. The house sits about 25 minutes off Branson's beaten path - traveling via scenic winding roads. Set amongst towering trees, the back of the house has picturesque views of Table Rock Lake. Our room was very nice, featuring a jacuzzi bath tub for two and a king size bed. It was stocked with plenty of towels. The air conditioning blew so cold that I covered it up with a hand towel to dampen some of the cool air. The next day Becky, the innkeeper, put a cover over the ac vent and the air was the perfect temperature. We purchased a guided fishing tour with Bill, one of the inn's owners. The day we were scheduled to go out there was a deluge of rain, so we had to cancel. It ended up being one of my favorite days, as we were able to nap and read in our room all day with the door open listening to the rain. Perfection! The next day we made it out on the lake. Bill made sure we had a good time and that we got our money's worth. We had quite a haul of fish. Becky's breakfasts were a good way to start the morning. They were filling and the food was good. Becky and Bill also made sure to stock the common fridge with beverages that could be accessed at any time (not just breakfast). Coffee, hot tea and hot cocoa were also available. She also had nice little munchies available during the days.

My husband wanted to surprise me with somewhere special for my birthday. He hit a home run with The White River Lodge. Our room was so warm and comfortable. The view from our room and deck was breath taking. Becky's breakfast are amazing!! The hot tub was so relaxing and just what we needed. We will definitely be back!!
"Perfect Branson Vacation, Amazing Breakfast, Relaxing View, Close to Branson"
11/14/13 Kelley W Tulsa, Oklahoma
This B & B was perfectly designed to feel like home, but provide the wonderful vacation amenities such as a hot tub under the stars, delicious breakfast every morning and an amazing room with spectacular lake views. The location is perfect to both enjoy the scenery of Table Rock and just a quick drive to Branson or Dogwood Canyon. After three days of relaxation, we were sad to leave. Our 5 year anniversary was perfect and we can't wait to return again next year.
"Perfect Peaceful Scenic Get-Away, Beautiful Lake View"

We wanted to go somewhere special to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We thought Branson would be fun but we wanted quiet and seclusion too. White River Lodge was the best choice we could have made. It's is absolutely beautiful, from the view of Table Rock Lake to the lodge and rooms, with their authentic rustic timbers and log construction, big windows, vaulted ceilings, multi-level decks and private access to each room and every attention to detail in furniture and decor. We stayed for four days and really felt like we were living in our private vacation house on the lake. It's evident immediately that our hosts love what they do and they exceed every expectation you could have for feeling comfortable and at home. We will return to this little oasis the next chance we get.
"Relaxing and Beautiful Vacation Property"

This B and B certainly lived up to our expectations. All the glowing reviews listed here are perfectly on target. Couples Cove was a beautiful room and the morning sunrise right out of the balcony door was breathtaking. Becky & Bill thought of everything in the design of this property. It's one of those places that we hope to return to someday. And... trout fishing was FUN! We had perfect weather on the day we went out with Bill.
"Lovely Perch Overlooking Table Rock"

I would have been perfectly happy to camp out in this lovely B&B for many days. There were all sorts of places to curl up with a good book and enjoy fantastic views. You will not feel cramped in the tastefully decorated rooms nor in the public areas. If you enjoy football, Bill will probably provide some comraderie, unless your team is playing Missouri. I had hoped to expose my physician friends from Turkey to American B&Bs. White River Lodge was a excellent choice and truthfully nicer than Big Cedar, in my opinion. My last words to Becky were, "I will be back".
My husband and I stayed at the WRL August 9-12 for a long weekend getaway. The Lodge is rustic, secluded, and very quiet and relaxing. We were in the Couples Cove and absolutely loved it. The room is on the top floor on the corner so we had great views and it felt very private. Becky's breakfast each morning was delicious and she was very accommodating about us wanting to eat outside. Becky was very helpful with attraction and restaurant options. One day we went hiking at Dogwood Canyon. The nature park was beautiful but we definitely recommend renting a bike. Most visitors rent bikes (which we didn't know) and we felt like we had to keep getting out of the way for all the bikes to pass. The other day we rented a pontoon boat from Cricket Creek Marina. We initially had a pontoon reserved at the Bass Pro Marina but researched a little more and decided to go with Cricket Creek. It is a little bit further away but we were very happy with our selection! We were able to pick which boat we wanted and saved about $50. We certainly recommend WRL and we cannot wait to go back.
"Great anniversary weekend"

Rustic elegance is a term that perfectly describes White River Lodge. If you like the looks of it on their website, you won't be dissappointed in this B&B. The views overlooking Table Rock are awesome, the breakfasts are delicious, and the owners could not be nicer. Additionally, if you like to fish, Bill is a great guide and resource for both Table Rock (bass) and Taneycomo (trout). As others have noted, the location is a little remote, but in our minds that was an advantage. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
