"a bit older of a Motel, but I was very impressed"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This was a bit older of a Motel, but I was very impressed how clean it was.I was very happy with the service people. Very friendly and helpful. I missed my plane and they were very good to me and I stayed there one more night. The price is in relationship with the kind of motel this and i was pleased. They deserve their / your business. Their breakfast is only muffins and orange juice.

Downtown Seattle stretches along Puget Sound from historic Pioneer Square in the south to trendy Belltown in the north. In between, office towers, shopping gallerias, and brick condos line the leafy avenues. The convention center is here, as is Pike Place Market, where salmon fly. Don’t miss the futuristic main library. Seattle’s twin stadiums and the International District lie south of downtown.

Overall it was fine. Parking was across the street and not super convenient but ok. I would suggest ear plugs since there is a lot of street traffic nearby. I slep fine with ear plugs.
"Great value"
I wanted an affordable place to stay for a few days while I looked for an apartment ahead of a move to the city. This hotel fit the bill - not only was it reasonably priced, the room was clean and well-maintained, the staff was very friendly and helpful, hallway noise was minimal, and it was located right next to a bus stop from which you could catch […] a bus to nearly anywhere in the city (Seattle's very walkable, in any event). I didn't particularly care for the bar-heavy Belltown area, but it didn't bother me, either. There's no restaurant in the hotel, so you have to go out to eat (or order in from one of the many nearby restaurants or pubs). Read more
"Great Job Belltown Inn"
I lucked out when I found this hotel, it is in a great location and the rooms are nice. Despite the 7:30am wake up call, and when I say wake up call I mean fire alarm going off, it was a very enjoyable stay. There was no fire just a guest cooking something in their room a little to much, we got to get back in in a few minutes. The staff was great and […] there was a nice roof top terrace to hang out on. The only downfall was there was not air conditioning and I luckily was in Seattle on a beautiful weekend and it got rather hot in the room. They do provide a fan that worked, but AC would have been nicer. Overall I think this was a great hotel and would definitely say here in the future. Also if you stay here check out the Bedlam Cafe its right down the street and they have great coffee and amazing Cinnamon swirl bread. Read more

Well every thing was going alright until we encounter a fire drill on the last monring we were there. I honestly believe someone was cooking bacon in one of the rooms becasue every morning, it smell like bacon. It smelled good, but I think they left it too long and I believe it was on the fourth floor, where we were staying. Other then that, we love […] the fact this hotel does provide microwave and refrigerator. And everyone is very friendly at the front dest and they provided great information. We were please and will continue to stay with you, when in Seattle. It close to many places we visited. Read more

very friendly staff
It was in a bad area and there was no parking unless you want to pay more for parking. It should be included in stay.

The hotel was in the perfect location to enjoy local bars and restaurants. It was also close enough to walk to the Mariners game and Sounders games on back to back days. We didn't take full advantage of what the hotel offers, so we hope to stay again.
"The Belltown Inn"
Terrific location, right in the heart of everything. Walking distance from everything downtown. Room had queen bed, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and TV. Slick little setup, perfect for those who want to exonerate and enjoy Seattle, and not have to walk far to sleep. Woul stay again.

"Nice hotel"
This hotel has everything a normal pleasure/business traveler needs. It's not posh, but everything it has is comfortable, clean, functional, and convenient.
"Enjoyed my stay"
This is not an upscale hotel, and not super hip either, just a cool chill place not too expensive in an excellent location. Third street is where social services are so there are bums around, but I never felt threatened or worried. The hotel recommended walking on second or first - not dangerous but to avoid being asked for change. Great neighborhood […] with interesting coffee shops, bars, restaurants, walkable to the upscale downtown area in 10 minutes, walkable to the waterfront, to Pike's Market, and to the Seattle Center (the latter wasn't all that interesting). Very very helpful staff with great recommendations. Read more

"Belltown Inn - good stay, but parking is a problem"
nice friendly staff, clean. Parking a car may be an issue - they only have 20 first come first served spots -
"Stylishly updated hotel close to everything!"
The online pictures didn't disappoint—this hotel is amazing on the inside. The staff was friendly and attentive; the hotel was clean and quiet. We were on the side overlooking some construction, but couldn't even hear it through the window when it was closed. The neighborhood is dirty and a little dodgy, but I never felt unsafe even at night walking […] back from the convention center or space needle. Read more
"Belltown Inn - easy walk to Pike's & Space Needle"
Loved the kitchenette! Bed was comfy, water was hot, showerhead was high enough. I thought the street noise would bother me (3rd Ave is a major bus route) but I acclimated quickly and even left the window open at night. Parking is off-site, and seems just a little sketchy, but everything was fine. DO NOT forget to put the parking permit on your dash […] or you will find a $40 ticket. That said, the hotel was nice enough to take care of it when we checked out. Read more
"Great location"
Good location, free loaner bikes, and free loaner umbrellas too! I thought the last two were a funny touch. Walking distance to pretty much anything you'd want, and close to fantastic food and coffee
"Free bike loans!"
Really enjoyed the complimentary bike loaning. This part of Seattle is enjoyable to bike around.
GREAT
"Great location, nice staff!"
We got the Hotel during a "special deal" that made it that more alluring. Holet was in a great location walking distacne to shops, resturants and public transportation. Staff member who checked us in was Awesome, very helpful. Room was a decent size and clean.
"NOISY!!!"
I have stayed at Belltown Inn and love the location. Also like the fact that they have pay parking across the street (call and reserve, they have limited spots). My only complaint and it seems to happen EVERY time I stay there is the noise from the occupants above me is intolerable!!! It sounds like they are a troupe of gymnasts above me. Doesn't matter […] what room I stay in. Floors are either made of plywood or only people who have never stayed in a hotel are booking rooms here. Don't know if I will book again here. LaQuinta is redecorating, has free parking and I NEVER hear anyone else. Only a few blocks away but for sheer peace, it is most definitely worth it. Same because I have stayed here many times and kind of enjoyed it... Read more
"Great except..."
Wonderful location and room. Would give all perfect scores if it weren't for the super snotty lady that checked us in! Don't remember her name but do remember her piercings and artwork... However, everyone else at the hotel was spectacular.
"LOUD, boutique style hotel"
It is a hotel within walking distance of Pike Place market and the shopping district, but it is in the more seedy area on a busy corner. It is clean, walking to the room, I loved the it is a square hotel with a courtyard in the middle. The halls are narrow and quiet, nice decor. We stepped in our room #428 and it is simple and cozy for a older hotel. […] I noticed the noise outside though, because it was on the side of Third street. We readied ourselves to hit Pike Street and get a delicious seafood dinner at Ettas and catch a movie in the shopping district. Walking back to the hotel was nice, but got more seedy as we approached Bell. Stay on Fourth until Bell is my advice. Walked into our room and it was sweltering, yet the Temp was set at 60. Had to open the window and wow! if I thought is was loud with the window closed, imagine what is was like with the window open. Our room faces the bus stop for both ways. Can you say, bus, Bus BUS nonstop!!! They are so loud, then there is a night club as well! Screaming, drunks getting off and on the bus yelling, then to have the people above us sounding as though they are jumping on a trampoline and the four 20 somethings next to us partying in the after hours. My advice is, if you stay here, ask for a room AWAY from the street and possibly the top floor(fifth). It is conveniently located from the main attractions, about a 1/2 mile. On Fourth and Bell, you get a great view of the Space Needle as well. The parking garage is up the street and around the corner. It costs $15.00 and depending when you get there, you may be able to pay for a spot, if not, good luck finding a street spot. From 10 PM - 8 AM it is free! Read more
"Belltown Inn-Very NICE hotel on a budget"
We have stayed at the Belltown Inn several times when we have events to attend in Seattle since we live so far north i.e New Years Eve, Victoria Clipper. Its' walking distance to Seattle Center a little further trek to Pike Place but pretty centralized overall. We love it because it's so affordable and the hotel and rooms are updated so it feels like […] a more expensive hotel. Beds are very comfortable which is a big one for us. Neighborhood has lots of restaurants & grocery store for last minute items. Parking is $15 a night which is cheap for Seattle. We highly recommend it! Read more
"Belltown Inn-Seattle"
I was very pleased with this hotel because of the location. It was very clean, and the room was just right for one person. Only complaint I had was the room of young adults next to me that when they returned to their room at 3:00 a.m. Saturday night, they continued their partying and socializing for another hour. Didn't help my sleep pattern at all. […] Otherwise, I enjoyed the free access to the internet in a dedicated room for computer use. I will stay there again. Read more
"Simply good"
We stayed here for 4 nights recently and really liked it overall. The people at the front desk were super helpful in aiding with any information needed. The hotel is walking distance to most everything downtown which is nice. Mostly we were just looking for a central place to stay which was clean and comfortable as we were only really looking for a […] place to sleep as opposed to hanging out at the hotel and this was a great fit. I would stay there again. Read more

"Always a great place to stay"
I stay at the Belltown Inn frequently when I visit friends in Seattle. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms and common areas are clean and well-maintained. It's really great to have a kitchenette in the room with a mini-fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. Coffee is provided, and the complementary popcorn, sodas, and water […] are a nice touch. The location is perfect - I'm able to park my car when I arrive and walk everywhere I need to go all weekend. The property is low-key, no frills (no pool, no workout facilities, no continental breakfast), but very comfortable and consistantly a great place to stay. Read more

"Belltown Inn in Seattle"
No ac so if youre into the whole sounds of the city thing its perfect. Limited parking and its $$$ so plan to spend a lot or walk very far to your car. Won't be staying here again.
"great location"
I stayed here for new years. Its location is within walking distance of anywhere in downtown Seattle. Highly recommend.
"Enjoyed New Years Eve at the Bell Town Inn"
I booked this hotel for new years eve. The rate was very reasonable and the location was convenient for doing activities in downtown Seattle. The room was clean and the front desk employees were friendly. The only thing that could have been better was that the room we had was right next to the street corner and the sounds of traffic and passerbys was […] highly audible in the room. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. Read more
"Belltown Inn. Excellent Location."
I have been staying at the Belltown Inn for years when I take long weekends in Seattle. Belltown is one of my favorite areas in Seattle and you are right in the middle of it. The only reservations I ever have about staying there involves parking. There is no free parking. Many times I will stay at La Quinta several blocks away. Parking is always free […] there. $15 a day to park in the lot across the street really adds up. Also want to add that I always seem to be able to hear the people above me stomping on the floor of their room. Either I am lucky enough to be booked whenever the circus is in town or the floors/ceilings are made of plywood. This is a huge pet peeve of mine. Staff is aloof and efficient which I'll take over gregarious and incompetent but would like both like I get at La Quinta. All things considered, I enjoy my stay there and will be back for years to come. Read more
"A great home base for extended stays"
I really enjoyed my stay at Belltown. The hotel is modest, but clean and convenient and the decor is tasteful. The place has the feel of an apartment building--it's small with friendly but laid back guests and staff, so I felt like a townie staying there. The highpoints are: Very helpful, friendly and down to earth staff. They will print out bus routes […] and schedules for you, recommend local restaurants of any flavor (there are tons close to hotel), and have complimentary bicycles and umbrellas for guests to check out. Rooms have a kitchenette with micro/fridge/sink and beverages (water/soft drinks) in fridge are complimentary. Location: the hotel is in the free bus zone, so I zipped back and forth to the convention center quickly. You can easily walk to Seattle Center, Light Rail (to Sea-Tac), Pike Place, and many restaurants, shops and cafes. I also walked to Whole Foods, REI and the convention center, and capital hill, which are a little farther, but still not epic. Peaceful: This the the quietest hotel I ever stayed in! I had a courtyard room on the 5th floor and I slept like a baby! No banging doors, street traffic or noise from other guests, but you do need to keep the blinds closed so the guest across the courtyard can't see into your room. There is also a rooftop deck if you want a view or a breath of fresh air. Drawbacks: The room was mostly updated, but the bed was not the most luxurious. I slept fine, but it could have been softer/newer. There is no WiFi--you can get an ethernet port for your room for almost nothing. Business center has really nice and fast computers for free use, including a printer. I never had to wait to use a computer. Bottom line: This is a great basic hotel and I felt right at home. If you're looking for a hotel with amenities (pool, on-site dining/breakfast) look elsewhere, but if you just want something comfortable and convenient, I would highly recommend this hotel! Read more
"Belltown Inn in Seattle"
A basic, functional, extremely friendly hotel. Close to Pike Place and downtown if you don't mind a walk through some skeeviness. No wifi in rooms but an ethernet cable upon request (for a few $/night) will get you Internet. Not a whole lot of amenities but a perfectly solid place to stay.
"Amazing staff, great location, decent lodgings"
The staff at Belltown Inn went far above and beyond. A friend had called in advance to arrange for some surprise birthday goodies to be in the room when I arrived, and they found amazing, local gluten-free pastries and tied balloons to the nightstand -- and front desk even remembered to wish me a happy birthday, and volunteered to put together a list […] of gluten-free restaurants for me! The hotel room was a little small and the decor a bit outdated, the bathroom in need of very minor attention, but everything was kept very clean and tidy. Heat was a little difficult to control, but I left the window open a crack -- and there's a water fountain in the courtyard, natural white noise to help you fall asleep. The location couldn't be better. Great restaurants in the area (check out Black Bottle and Petra Mediterranean Bistro, both just a few blocks away, amazing!), easy walking distance to downtown, Pike's Place Market, the harborfront, the Space Needle. Be smart but don't be put off by the immediate surroundings -- there's a community mental health clinic on 4th Street a few blocks north that attracted some curious characters, and the homeless population is higher than in other cities I know, but this seemed the case across the city from the bit that I saw during my stay. All in all, would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a decent, not luxury, place to stay in the heart of downtown Seattle. Read more

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Internet access in lobby was very convenient. They have bikes you can borrow, which I didn't partake of during my stay because it was rainy, but was impressed by the option. Very short walk to water/ Pike Place Market if you're interested in touring around. Room was clean. Kitchenette was useful. All in all a very […] comfortable stay. Would stay there again. "Belltown Inn: Perfect Location"
Great location walking distance to downtown Seattle and conveniently located in trendy Belltown neighborhood. Friendly staff. Nice room.
"small but comfortable"
The desk staff were friendly and helpful. Other reviewers were right about finding a parking spot to get inside, but we found one and it worked out. I also worried about the overnight parking situation as it was across and down the street. I worried about my car all night as the neighborhood is not the best. But I think there was a security guard there […] helping another patron the next morning, so felt better after that. Parking was $15 overnight! The room itself was small, but clean and luckily the window opened as we couldn't control the heat very well. We thought we turned it down? Other reviewers here say that there was kitchen utensils in their rooms, but for one night, we had nothing but coffee cups. The drinking water, and sodas in the room were free. I would stay again, knowing what I know if the price does not go up much more. With the 50% savings at hotels.com the price was right. Read more

Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Room was large and clean. Neighborhood was a little scary at night. Overall great room for the price. Would stay there again.
"Popcorn and Coca Cola free in room!"
This was a fun place to stay for a nearby birthday party. The party didn't start until 7PM so after checking in at 2PM, I went down to the Pike Place Market, got some goodies, returned to hang out with friends on the roof to watch the sunset. Walked to the venue about 3 blocks then back around 2AM. It seemed safe enough, lots of foot traffic. Starbucks […] coffee in room, a fine morning with noon checkout! Read more
"Great budget hotel, helpful staff"
Cheap rate, great location, clean & quiet room. The staff was super helpful; allowing me to check in early and in making some other accommodations. The only drawback was that the immediate neighborhood felt a little unsafe. Though I'd definitely stay here again. Thanks
"close to international belltown conference"
Actually, a really nice hotel with great resturants surrounding it. A friendly staff. My only problem with this hotel is that there are better ones in the area for the same price, and you had to pay for parking if they ran out of parking!
"I love staying at this hotel!"
Everytime that I stay at the Belltown I am very satisfied! The staff are very courteous and knowledgable on the area when I have a question. The hotel is in a perfect location for walking to downtown or the Seattle Center and right on the bus line to go to other places. And the room is always very clean and I like the way that it is set up.
