We spent two nights at the Fairmont. The whole experience was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quiet pleasant and generally great stay"
Great Staff, nice hotel. Recommended. Although, the hotel doesn't connect to the main concierge and bar which is a little annoying but all goodGenuine Expedia guest review
"good location, tiny rooms"
There are no other hotels on the water and adjacent to the North End. The location is delightful, but this newly built hotel's lobby, hallways, and rooms are small and cramped. The room had two windows that opened but even when 60 degrees outside it was still hot inside and we had to turn on the A/C. The bedspreads were tired and pilled and the leather […] headboard was nicked in several places. For a Fairmont you expect a bit more. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"What a surprise !"
Got in late after making the reservation on Expedia. Had a good discount (505 --> 372) on a traditional king. Got to the front desk of the hotel and was told, "So sorry, we're booked up ! .................That's why we're upgrading you to the PRESIDENTIAL SUITE !!" Wow. What great luck! Because the room was booked on Expedia, the hotel was compelled […] to hand me the last room they had, worth $2,500 + per night, and at no further cost -- other than incidentals -- to me. I'm NOT kidding ! The Prez Suite has three rooms and about 50 sq m. of space. The main room has a lovely couch, two chairs and two ottomans, a secretarial desk, a 48" HD TV and stereo system, lovely decor, a guest half bath, a private patio directly above the water, all on the ground floor, and even a small telescope for looking out over Boston Harbor. Next to the main room is a sizeable conference room with 8 fine leather chairs, full bar, frig, etc. The separate bedroom has a very comfortable, plush, KS bed, hard-wood veneered furniture, another 48" HD TV/Stereo, walk-in closet/safe/iron/board. The bathroom is large and complete with French-perfurmed soaps, very nice walk-in shower and separate enclosed head. In-room service was great. The only thing missing is a microwave in the conference room -- no one's room service is hot -- and movable struts for angling the TV monitors. Very quiet room. Very pleasant staff. Couldn't have been better. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"An exceptional hotel experience"
Hotel is beautifully positioned for Boston exploration being just about on the halfway point of the popular Freedom Trail walk and with the restaurant strip in Hanover St only a few minutes walk away. The water views are delightful, hotel's facilities are first class and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would return to Boston just to […] stay at the Fairmont. "Good, not great"
Due to a last-minute change in circumstance, we stayed at the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge Friday night and then switched to the Fairmont for Saturday and Sunday. The Fairmont staff is lovely and very helpful. When we arrived our bathroom doors were offset and would not shut. The staff had them promptly fixed while we were out. However, we quickly decided […] we liked the bed (Fairmont's bed seemed too firm...but if that's your thing, you should like them), the shower, and the quirky decor at Hotel Marlowe better. Also, call your own taxi. I had the doorman call me a taxi to go shopping. The guy they summoned charged me $26 (to his credit, he was very friendly and charming). Funny how the ride back in the metro cab only cost me $13. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Perfect location in N. Boston for our agenda!"
We really enjoyed our 1 night stay at Fairmont Battery Wharf. Our plans were to tour North Boston and all we had to do was cross the street and walk for 1 block and everything was right there. The hotel was clean and the service was exemplary. Thank you for a wonderful experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely looking but..."
The facilities are beautiful but it is not centrally located. The front desk staff were not able to give good directions to sights using public transportation or by foot - usually suggesting that we take a taxi (which would have been very expensive). Drinks and food at the hotel were very pricey. The restaurants near the hotel are all Italian - some […] were quite excellent. We used the spa which was very close by and found it clean and inviting. Next time we go to Boston, we'll stay in Back Bay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Evening with Neil Young"
Jim and I were very pleased with the Fairmont Battery Wharf hotel. The hotel was very clean. The staff was excellent. Everyone was very pleasant and hospitable. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Everyone that we encountered was exceptional. The room was very comfortable and clean. Our view from the 5th floor was pleasant. We highly recommend Battery […] Wharf. From the pleasant door men to the hotel Manager, it was a very pleasant experience. We will visit again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The property, it food and facilities are absolutely the best among Boston's finest hotels. The staff are wonderful and make you feel as though they are there only for you, anticipating your every need. All done without Brahmin pretentiousness. Magnificient!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Loved it all!!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was amazing! The room was clean, beautiful and comfortable. My only complaint would be the valet parking. We had to wait almost 25 minutes each time (and we had called ahead for our car).Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good just for one night if business travel"
Good hotel, but do not expect great views or super service. They have several buildings, so if your breakfast is included in the room charge, no metter what they say, eat inside the building you are staying. Otherwise they'll charge you for the meal. The consierge service can do only very simple things such as call a taxi. Do not expect help with getting […] tickets for show or any other things that you may expect to get in a 5 star hotel. Water taxi to the airport is not a romantic thing: it cost $10 per person and it takes 20 min to cross the water, but you may wait about 20 min for the shatle bus which takes you to the airport terminal. Intimate because hotel is spread out in 4 midrise buildings. Off the beaten track with several entrances so a bit tricky to catch a cab Steps to North End with great restaurants and Paul Revere historical sites. Love views of harbor water and gold pkg including very nice breakfast, appetizers and dessert in comfortable pretty lounge.Genuine Expedia guest review
When we arrived we upgraded to the gold rooms for the breakfast. The room was spacious but by far the staff sets this hotel apart. Whatever the task, from making dinner reservations to help with luggage the staff went beyond the immediate task to make our stay more enjoyable. Great hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quiet boutique hotel with a great location."
The location of the hotel was ideal for my husband and I to walk everywhere, including all the great Italian restaurants, cafes and bakery's while still being centrally located to all the sites. The feel upon arriving was just a little confusing with check in being in one building and our room being across the cul-de-sac. The harbor view room was clean […] and decorated nicely. Two minor complaints, there were no ice machine located on our floor (call the front desk/housekeeping) and WiFi is $15.00 a day . Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Difficult to leave the room."
Superb room with very high end decor and furniture. Loved the bathroom with the speakers that sync to the TV or your iPod. The only thing missing is a pool for this to be one of the top hotels in all of Boston.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to the water"
This was a nice hotel in a good location. We were able to walk many places, easily found the subway, and used the trolley. There was no need for a car while we were in Boston. The proximity to the North End was beneficial as there was an outdoor festival going on at the same time. THe hotel was quiet, the security was good. The room was very comfortable […] and the service was great. The breakfast was hot and varied. I would recommend this hotel to other travelers. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Best hotel in Boston"
This is by far the best hotel that I've been at in my travels. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and my treatment at Fairmont was exceptional. The staff at the hotel was very helpful and curteous. When we arrived, our room wasn't available yet, but the staff quickly upgraded us to a "Junior Suite" (very nice). They offer complimentary gourmet […] breakfast, H'orderves and deserts. We are talking about gourmet hams, eggs, juices etc...for breakfast, gourmet hams and salami, oysters on the half shell one day etc., and cheescake, cookies etc.. for desserts. Their sodas and waters are free when you get them in the lobby. Their rooms were clean and contemporary. We are on the bay but close to "Little Italy" on the North End. This area is preferred to the "Back Bay" due to its more peaceful surroundings. It was always relaxing sitting on the bench overlooking the Charles river. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Fun time in Boston"
The hotel was in the best location for touring, eating, people watching, catching a water taxi. We will stay there again when we go back to Boston. The people were friendly. It was our first experience with a Fairmont hotel, we usually stay at Marriott or Kimpton hotels, I will try them in other cities after this. The exhale spa is such a nice perk. […] I used it for a massage one day and went back and did a yoga class and facial. The only complaint that I have is that the doors in building four are very loud (if you like to sleep in) and they don't close all the way unless you pull them shut. Otherwise a perfect visit. Nice jr suite, TV, music and bed. Included breakfast was a plus with some good choices. The only frustration was getting a cab hailed when in a hurry. That part of the service needs help. Most hotels have cabs standing by, this was never the case over a 5 day stay. Most mornings I was unsure whether I'd get the cab on time. Finally solved the problem […] by using Uber Cab (iphone app). You might consider using it for your guests Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beautiful Harbor View location"
We loved our stay at the Fairmont Battery Wharf Boston. Enjoyed the sights and sounds (i.e. Odyssey dinner cruise, Freedom Trail, Blue Man group, Improv Assylum, Fiore's, Mike's Pastry Shop, etc.). All were within walking distance (15 to 20 minute walk). Needed the exercise after all the fine dinning. The hotel had great food both for breakfast and […] appetizer hour. We were out late so never got to try the desserts offered later in the evening. Definitely plan to visit Boston again and the Fairmont Hotel. The deal with Hotel.com was really great. The hotel personnel were really helpful and knowledgeable about local things to do, places to eat and other details. Overall, had a great trip and experience and hope to do it with the kids next time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
