Fairmont Battery Wharf Boston

I booked the hotel for family for a graduation. It's a very beautifully decorated hotel right on the boston harbor. our rooms had great views. Staff was attentive and not snooty. I didn't eat a meal but one of my family members did and loved it.

This was a new, very clean hotel with great bathrooms, in the north end, very near the Paul Revere house and the Historic Trail. The Italian food on the North End is amazing!!!

I was a little disappointment when they put us in a handicap room without a bathtub. With the high rate that we are paying per night; they offer no complimentary breakfast to their guest. It was a pleasing stay, but with that rate I rather stay at the Sheraton or Lenox Hotel.

Exceptional service generally and the quality of room service in particular was outstanding. The hotel makes DVDs available to President's Club guests and it would have been nice to have more family-friendly options. But that's just a mild suggestion. We had a great stay and were very impressed.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff! The room was very nice including the evening turndown service. Hotel was within walking distance of things to do. Only downside, you can only valet park and it was a bit pricey.

After paying for the hotel not knowing what it would be (one of those deals from Expedia!) we were pleasantly surprised with the location and we got an upgrade from a two-double bed room to a nicer room with a large bed. Staff is really friendly, room was perfect! In a great historical area, it was close to our favorite restaurant.

A great location and a wonderful hotel. Close to the North end (2 minute walk), a great harbor view, and all in all a wonderfull spot to stay. The only problem was a cabbie who managed to charge 36 dollars from Logan.

Take a $10/person water taxi from the airport. Stroll down Hanover through the north end for great pasta or to the Union St Oysters. Close to the Aquarium, Freedom trail, trolley tours. Friendly staff! Great stay!

Stayed there while taking son to Boston Children's Hospital, and the hotel staff was very accommodating for special needs due to his leg injury. Beautiful hotel. Arrived at check in time. The gentlemen at the front desk told us our room would not be ready for 30 minutes. He was very matter of fact and not too apologetic. I have to spend the night in Boston 2x a year for a layover. Checked out this hotel on tripadvisor thought it looked good. I love being in the North End. I was not impressed by the quality of the rooms. I was given one room, but then needed to switch. The bathrooms are not very private. The first room had pocket doors at the bathroom which did not close […] completely, the second had one big bathroom with no cubicles ( please do not have a toilet without walls around it). My wife and I went to the Fairmont Battery Wharf to celebrate New Years Eve. I picked this hotel for the location: North End, great restaurants, business district, and Back Bay shopping. I have stayed in 3 other Fairmont hotels and I wanted quality service and staff, and a luxurious room. Before going to Boston, I went to Maine to do work on my 77 year […] old mother's house for a week. I therefore brought my older pickup truck. When I arrived at the Fairmont, the valet repeatedly asked me to use a local parking garage instead of using the hotel's valet service. On my insistence, the valet finally agreed to do his job. The rooms were so poorly constructed that anytime a guest closed their door, the walls and our door shook. This occurred throughout the night. There is very poor sound insulation between rooms, so I had the pleasure of listening to all that entails, including the apparent chest cold of the woman next door. (I went for NY eve celebrations, so I was not looking for silence, returning to the room sometime after 2 a.m.) I brought the valet and noise issues to the attention of the front desk who replied, "Yes, we have gotten a lot of those complaints." I have stayed in cheap motels that left the light on for me which had better staff. I cannot recommend this Fairmont to anybody. The hotel also only has one dining option. Major disappointment. Although my daughter has lived in Boston for several years we, for some reason, never tried the Fairmont at the Wharf. This will be our new hotel when visiting Boston. We were able to get a room with a beautiful water view AND breakfast in our room as a package. We were very satisfied with the service and the price. We have found the price for four […] star(and plus) hotels in Boston have become ridiculously high, and usually have small rooms and lackluster service. We ate at the hotel for dinner, as we arrived late, and found it to be excellent...I had an italian entree and my husband had the special scallops....some of the best we have had including in many fine dining establishments. This hotel has pretty much all the perks that one could imagine EXCEPT they charge a hefty fee per day for wireless access in your hotel room. In a high end hotel in the perfect location on the harbor, why would this be so? Why would they assume that, after paying a hefty fee for the lovely room, a client would be pleased to have to go to the lobby […] to have wireless access? My teenage daughter and I stayed her. It was just a couple of blocks from Hanover St (lots of good Italian restauransts and bakeries). We were about a 10 minute walk to Faniuel Hall area. It was also really nice being right on Boston Harbor. The room was large, comfortable, and quiet. We would definitely stay there again.
