      In common with most small family hotels that are converted houses, the accommodations where somewhat compact, the shower cubicle in particular, but everything I needed was provded and worked well. The breakfast was fantastic and much better than I expected from this price range. However the most impressive aspect of my stay was the people who run the hotel. Steve, Karen and their family were absolute stars, who could not have made me more welcome. The next time I visit Blackpool the Marsden will be my top choice for friendly service and value for money.

      The stay at The Sandalwood was a pleasant surprise, and I am sure to visit again. It was close enough to the Blackpool town centre and a pleasant walk along the water. Margaret and Pete were very attentive to our few needs and the breakfast was cooked to order. No complaints at all.

      I have traveled for a living for the last 20+ years and stayed in every type of imaginable lodging along the way. Never during that time had I ever experienced the kindness, warmth, and class of service that I did from Angie and Allan during my stay this past July. I cannot wait until I have the opportunity to return to visit them and the city of Blackpool again. I can honestly say that I have never felt this strongly about any place I have stayed outside of my home. Thanks again and see you soon!

    Once a thriving mill town, Preston has felt the pinch of de-industrialization like much of the northeast. The city is peppered with beautiful old buildings including the Harris Museum and St John's Minster.     Staff were very nice and helpful. Room was well appointed but location of room next to busy street was a challenge with windows unable keep out the sound of car traffic. Recommend booking a room on inner courtyard. Shampoo and free Internet would be nice.

    This hotel is very hard to find, even using a GPS. There are a lot of one way streets near it so finding the right streets to go down was a challenge. Once we found it, we were very pleased with the room and how close it was to walk to shops, restaurants, etc. The bed was comfortable and the food was very good.     The Legacy Preston is within walking distance of the train Station and main downtown attractions (shopping, pubs, bookstores, Harris museum, etc.). The hotel staff was friendly. The room was very clean. The bed was super comfortable. Very nice complimentary breakfast. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

    The hotel itself was nice and service was good. Finding the hotel is almost impossible due to one way streets, and general lack of signage. I spent 90 minutes looking for the hotel and during that time was never more than 1 mile form it. You can not see the sign for the hotel from anywhere

    A well situated hotel near the centre of Preston. Staff and catering (breakfast) were good. Sheets and towels were not completely white, some black marks on both after washing.

    Hotel is a bit out of the way - not in the main centre but then nothing is in Preston. Very powerful shower, towel warmer that worked but the towels were a thing of uniqueness - paper thin and falling to bits. More threadbare have I never seen, but the original rag was replaced promptly by the helpful staff.

    Excellent stay. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and it is a very clean "business" type hotel that is great for weekenders. The hotel is basic but to a very good standard, the staff are very pleasant and helpful and the breakfast buffet is excellent. For the price, it can't be faulted.

    the hotel and room were comfortable, clean and generally very good. The one way system around the hotel caused us problems and took my daughter 25 minutes to negotiate. Might be helpful to explain this on the website.

    From the first check in to leaving I would say the stay was brilliant. Very clean new hotel , the room was brilliant x only thing was the sound of the traffic outside as there is a main road opposite .
