Very mixed feelings - its a pub with rooms rather than a hotel - the staff are friendly, the room was warm and clean, we had a problem with the TV which got sorted straight away - the building is old, tatty, creaky, with make-do furniture (e.g. the wardrobe door was off its hinges but the wardrobe could still be used to hang clothes) signs of damp - […] liked the pub, good food and drink, comfortable. I would definatly recommend this to anyone who wants to visit london for a few days, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. It is so close to the tube which can get you to just outside Buckingham palace in literally no time at all. 3 beds with old matresses in one room with no space to walk, creaky floorboards, no shower curtain, no remote control so only one channel, carpet from the 60's and didn't look clean. They have clean sheets and towels and were good hosts but it is mainly a pub with some beds.

Absolutely great budget hotel, big room, comfy bed, very clean, on suite bath and shower, free parking (plenty), kettle, fridge. Amazing for the price and highly recommended, yes the floor creaked and yes the furniture was old and mis matched, no problem at all to me! very close to Wembley and the North circular but quiet!

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The light dit not work, the bed was broken, the door to the toilet could not close, the television dit not work, the floor was making a lot of noise and they dit not serve breakfast.

Worst experience I have ever had in a hotel anywhere. Room looked and felt dirty. TV was ancient and did'nt work. Asked for a replacement which also could not get all channels. Beds and furniture in the room did not match and some was broken. Very noisy music late t night (had to wear ear plugs). I would not recommend this experience to anyone.

I normally stay in hostels but found they were really expensive in London. After stumbling onto the Green Man I couldn't believe my luck - this was massively cheaper than any other hotel or a private room in a hostel. The room is clean and comfortable with a decent TV. The guy who owns it is really nice and let me leave my bags in the room when I turned […] up early - something most places won't let you do. The decor is in need of some attention - the paint is peeling and wallpaper coming down. The shower only offers a choice of scolding hot or icy cold water. Apart from the decor and water I was really happy. If you're a person who's not too fussy and just want a cheap bed for the night then this is perfect. Only stayed here a couple of nights but it was great. Price was nice too especially considering it was new years' eve and I booked about 3 nights before the date. The view was pretty nice looking down on Wembley, even after the main event, upon returning to the hotel you could see fireworks everywhere looking down on the city.

However there was a function at the bar and was not allowed to stay in the bar, was not given any warning of this prior to arriving - but was allowed to take drinks upstairs to room. You get what you pay for, staff are friendly and helpful, pub food is excellent, location is great easy to travel on tube into central London. Had a two night stay at this hotel. Of course it's not Hilton, but it's good value for money. We particularly liked the fact that the hotel staff was very friendly. It's actually a pub/restaurant with rooms. So quite convenient for anyone looking for a few drinks and bite at the end of the day. The place was shoddy with distasteful furnishings. The windows didn't fit and were drafty.The place hadn't been decorated in years.The bed mattress sunk in the middle and the bed was so low on the floor it was difficult to get out of.Both my Husband and I fell over the end corner of the bed as the dark brown frame mingled with the carpet and you couldn't […] see it. The worst part was it was advertised as a B&B which I found out on enquiring when breakfast was, that the place didn't open until 12.00 and didn't do breakfast. This was a special weekend for us at Easter and to see Dancing on Ice at the Arena. The accommodation was a disaster but fortunately the show was brilliant. We chose the Green Man knowing it was a pub and a hotel, and we had read the reviews so we knew it was older, and had a different quality than your normal, cut and dried hotel. What we didn't expect, however, was that the folks who worked there would be so friendly and accommodating. We were there to run the London 10K, and with the race starting at […] a certain time, we weren't going to be able to get back to shower and be on our way until an hour past regular check out time. Pete, the guy who we explained our predicament to, was amazing - he actually said they would let us shower and leave later, even though the room was booked for later that day. The clientele of the pub were friendly and laid back, plus the food in the pub was exactly what we needed after a race - tasty and well priced.
