We were so happy with our stay at Hunters Lodge, it is a bit off the beaten path if you are traveling to Bath or Stonehedge, but it is beautiful country in Wincanton. The only let downs in room 10 was 1. the bathroom had not been cleaned propery, and the flue outlet from the boiler was adjacent to the window, which woke us a couple of times, apart from that we would stay again in a different room

We were attending a wedding in Wincanton the day that we arrived and the staff had our rooms ready early so that we could get ready for the wedding at 2:00. We had lunch in the Bar which was great and breakfast the next morning after which we left.Overall an excellent spot.

We chose this accommodation for its location. It was very easy to find and very near to Stourhead which is where we wanted to go. Our room was quiet despite the accommodation being near a main road. It was particularly good for families as there was a large play area and several fields of animals to look at.

We had a nice stay. The room was good, clean, fairly spacious. We had a pretty good carvery meal in the pub, you do need to book a table, we only booked at check in time and it was the last table available. Staff very helpful, breakfasts were OK. Would stay there again.

This is a modern accommodation block attached to a pub. Rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable with beautiful bathrooms. The pub is friendly and serves excellent food at very reasonable prices. I will defint=itely be staying here again.

Satisfactory check-in with a reasonably receptive senior male member of staff named Phil. Room was spacious and well fitted out but the disappointing points were, un hoovered carpet, filthy stains on both tea cups spoons & saucers and cardboard dinner menu was filthy with grease/food all over it. The mattress once led on, literally had a sunken hollow […] shape were my body had been and the bottom cover sheet had seen better wash days. The en-suite was clean and well turned out and plenty of hot water on tap. Free Wi-fi available and a decent size flat screen wall mounted TV. Very friendly welcome on arrival. Excellent room with fantastic views. Dinner in the bar in the evening was adequate and tasty but basic pub food very well presented.
