      For the money, this can't be beat. The hotel is very nice and comfortable. The owner is a native to Santorini and is extremely helpful and accommodating. We were only there for one night and without her advise and help, would not have enjoyed our stay as much as we did. Since we were there in the winter, not everything was available and much of the island goes into hibernation. But, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. It is not a luxury hotel so don't expect room service and spa facilities. What you do get is a small, personal, comfortable accommodation from people who care about your stay and experience in Santorini.

      First, the staff was amazing. He picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry port (although this is not a garaunteed service if the hotel is busy). He also arranged a rental car for us. The hotel itself is also lovely! Great views, nice pool, and amazing two story units with front and rear balconies (we were upgraded to 2-story units for free since the hotel was not busy). The location is near the center of the island on the west edge, perfect for viewing the sunset this time of year (Sept-Oct). Easy drives north to Oia and also south to Akrotiri and the beaches.

    On the highest point above the caldera, Imeroviglio was originally founded as a lookout point to defend the island against pirates.     San Antonio is an amazing hotel, with one of the most beautiful settings we have ever stayed in, where the staff could not be more polite or helpful. It is located between the two nicest villages on the island (5-6 minutes by cab / bus either side) and we preferred that is was more remote / isolated in this way, away from the crowds in the day.
