I planned a quick trip to Sandpoint with my 9 year-old nephew, I wanted an inexpensive place to stay and this fit the bill. The hotel is easy to access right off the highway. It's far enough off that you can't hear traffic but close enough to be convenient. The good: The price is great, location is good. The staff was very friendly and the room was […] clean. The A/C works great (which is huge in my book). Breakfast is your standard free continental hotel breakfast. The dining area was clean and the staff kept it stocked and picked up. She was very quick to refill something when the person before me emptied it. The bad: The bed was super uncomfortable, I think the floor might have actually been softer. Sound travels, there were very active children in the room above us and you could clearly hear water when the upstairs room took showers. If I'm in Sandpoint again I'd stay here, I'd just request a second floor room. Read more

It was a look location, right across the street from a grocery store so we could stock up on supplies. It was what I expected from a Days Inn, nothing amazing, but good enough. My only complaint was I could hear a train through out the night. My friends that I shared the room with didn't hear it, but it woke me up a couple times.

Room was clean, rate unbeatable, and it included a decent breakfast. It was either a great Deluxe continental bkf (biscuits & gravy, waffle, plus the usual) or a fair full breakfast depending on what they advertise it as. The hot-tub was an unexpected bonus for a hotel at this rate. Overall, its a good deal.

Only downside was that they sold lift tickets at the front desk but only had junior tickets, no adult. Otherwise great. I've stayed there before and will do so again in the future.

Good room, good experience. Breakfast was adequate, although the hotel was full and they ran out of various items. A little understaffed at that time. Plenty of hot water. Very convenient to Schweitzer ski area, and the Laughing Dog brewery is just down the street.

Clean room and friendly staff. I was in town for the Scenic Half Marathon, and the staff was very accommodating- allowing late check out for the runners. The outside appearance needs a little TLC but the inside is all log furniture which was kinda cool. The continental breakfast was great except it was very crowded when we went to eat and a lady coughed all over the waffle maker which made me change my mind about having a waffle. We had never been to Sandopoint, ID before so we weren't sure of the area but we were really unhappy with the location. I'm probably not being fair in my ratings but we just like a nicer place, this hotel appeared clean, it was neat, just older and not our taste. We won't stay there again. Approaching I thought, "Okay, maybe this won't be so bad." Well, don't let first impressions deceive you. They put us on the 2nd floor, in the middle with no elevators and entrances to the 2nd floor were on both ends...we had a hike and we had a lot of stuff. The front desk person gave us door card and didn't tell us how to get to our room...just sort […] of tossed stuff at me. The furniture is tasteful...pine...all I can say. Breakfast was the usual continental breakfast but with super limited tables. Thankfully we were sort of early and didn't have to stand to eat. Coffee is terrible. This was like no Days Inn I've ever stayed at. It was clean, quiet,nice decor, good breakfast, nice people. It's near grocery stores and several resturants. Easy to get to. Nice room with jetted tub and mountain decor. Front desk was inexperienced and not that impressive. They got the job done, but scolded me when I tried to be helpful in the breakfast room, refilling a milk container in the brief absense of a staff person. We chose to stay in Sandpoint with our 21' Bayliner on the trailer, and having parking place for it each night was a blessing indeed! No other places in Sandpoint could accommodate a 25' trailier! We had reserved a non-smoking room and when we arrived Friday and opened the door, we were knocked over by the smoke smell. The bathroom shower curtain had a sour smell to it to which it was unbearable and we had to wait until Saturday to have it replaced.
