"Very poor service"
This was my second stay at the hotel in 6 months and i have to say i would not be staying at the Sheraton Deramland again. The level of service was very poor to say the least, staff very unhelpful, we had to ask for our room to be cleaned as nobody had bothered for over a day! The room service orders were always incorrect and very delayed. Overall a […] very bad experience in a country which i visit every month and have been doing for over 12 years!!! "DONT ASSUME 5STAR = GOOD SECURITY"
Disappointment from the moment I arrived here, they could not find my booking, asked me to pay for it again which i refused to do and demanded the hotel manager. then they asked us if we were married-this is the first time i hear of such a thing and finally-beteen 2 five star sheraton hotels, they lost my notebbok and no one really cares-im shocked […] and made a complaint as i hold the sheraton hotels responsible for the loss of my computer and all my work that went with it-NEVER will I use Sheraton again in all of my travels, frightening to say the least for 5 star rated hotels !!!

"Great Hotel, great service"

This hotel was great, clean and safe. Closed to everything needed. The staff was very helpful and polite. The rooms are huge and very nicely decorated. You feel like a princess in there. You can socialise with other tourist on the pool. I would stay here again!

I was really confused that this hotel is really Five Stars Sheraton, ok its Egypt but on the other hand there should be some guarantee of the quality. The restaurant isnt good and probably its better to go somwhere else for the diner. The hotel is smokers friendly, so they can smoke everywhere even during the breakfast. There is empty frige on the room instead of the minibar and when I ask at the reception they told me that this is their standard and there is not possible to have anything in the frige. During my stay several times the elecricity has been shut down for few minutes and during all five days that I was there the internet connection was so slow that it makes it useless.
"Surprisingly good, contemporary modern hotel and excellent Club Lounge"
08/13/14 Jessie L Wayne, New Jersey
I came over to the area (the 6th of Oct) avoiding the bustling crowd in Cairo downtown hotels during Arab vacation season and looking for quiet work atmosphere and relaxation. As hilton diamond member, I was initially drawn to Hilton Pyramid resort (which is literally less than 5 mins ride from Sheraton), but now I am quite happy with my choice which decided to give it a try to this reasonably new, reasonably priced property, Sheraton. Being constructed in 2008 but heavily affected by sluggish Egyptian tourism since 2011, this contemporary modern property still feels quite new and super clean. While I admit that I came across some petites issues here and there, all staffs were genuinely willing to listen to issues I have, and are showing genuine efforts either to resolve the issues quickly or to improve things in the near future. Considering its own economic context and geographical location, I do think this property deserves its brand, Sheraton. I was particularly fond of its Club Lounge on the 4th floor (big thanks to Mr. Peter Maher, reservation manager here): beautiful balcony looking over the main pool, high quality of evening appetizer, helpful staffs, comfy sofa & beige-toned elegant furniture, separate dining area etc. Apart from the pleasant lounge, spacious room, clean bathroom, good quality of toiletries, good size of gym well-equipped with new machine looking over the main pool, oriental bar of beautiful design, clean & spacious lobby, nice pool area and new sun chairs. However, there are indeed some problems in the hotel: as some of previous reviewers pointed out, I guess the biggest issue is internet connectivity/speed. It seems that (as I am told as least) the whole area has been struggling with the limited cable capacity which has caused this internet issue. I mean, internet does work in room & lounge and other public areas but never fast enough to get some serious work done. This issue could be a big deterrent to serious biz travelers while the hotel is already aware of this issue and has been trying to tackle the issue. I do believe this issue will be improved/resolved in the very near future. Breakfast is just passable (in fact disappointing) and hope they could make better morning coffee (i mean, "real" coffee). Bed mattress might be too soft to some people who get used to firm mattress. Also it was such a pity, at least to me, that it was hard to find a room with one king-bed and bath tub (either King bed with shower booth or two twin beds with bathtub shower). Pool is pretty clean but personally prefer the water is less murky and more transparent. Last, thanks to Mr. Mohamed Salama, Front office manger who kindly dealt with my somewhat complicated reservation-related issues with patience. In short, Sheraton would be on top of my list if I come around this area again.
"Decent place "

I stayed here for a few days when visiting Cairo, the hotel is beautiful from the outside and inside it looks stunning. Staff are pleasant to deal with and I would recommend this to others who are thinking about using sheraton in Cairo. Go for it!

Business meeting rooms were well organized with all requested equipments. But the main problem was in the rooms which have a lot of problems especially in their toilets. Food was good regarding quality & varieties. Their was no entertainment at night inside the hotel.

I stayed their for a couple of days, it got a good location when you are interested in Giza and 6th of October districts, it is quite away from the busy city, few minutes to the mall of Arabiya, dream park, and to the ring road, The staff was helpful and ready to manage any discomfort. The price was extremely reasonable. I think it would need additional entertaining facilities and to advance the food menu, also i did not like charging for the internet it should be a basic thing in Sheraton.
"Not at Sheraton Level"
06/28/14 Wolfgang M Giza, Egypt
This will be an ongoing review. My stay is business related, but the hotel is not very ideal for this purpose. The employees hardly know what to do. Very sad. I had a chat with some other business trip ppl, and they confirmed me the decay of service recently. Very sad. The worst for me is that neither the wifi nor the in-room internet service with cable work reliable.

I had previously stayed at this hotel earlier in the month. Upon the check in the first time I was given a room on the second floor (223) which was in a poor condition physically and had an air conditioning until that didn't work. Upon notifying the front desk I was immediately escorted to a new room on the fourth floor (435). The room was in excellent order and the air conditioning worked very well. I then had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The stay was so enjoyable that I booked two rooms to stay with even more family from 6/17-6/20. I arrived at the hotel to check in. I asked the young man at the front desk for two adjoining rooms. His initial reaction was that he could not accommodate the request. I responded by noting that the hotel was at MAXIMUM 20% capacity. Magically then he was able to find two rooms on the second floor which we're adjoining. I settled into the rooms I noticed that the conditions of the room (marks on the wall) as well as air conditioning we're not working. I went back to the front desk and informed the young man of the condition and asked for another set of adjoining rooms. I even expressed to him that I had a similar circumstance when I had stayed at the hotel earlier in the month and the room on the fourth floor (435) was acceptable. He then got a manager who chose to tell me that the air conditioning worked in the room just fine. I told them that as an American I booked Sheraton because it is a brand that I can trust because of the American standards. Then after a great ordeal back and forth the young man gave us rooms 437 and 439 which we're adjoining and had working air conditioning. This type of check in is absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. As someone who was returning after a great experience prior, this definitely ruined it for me and I will check other hotels in the area in the future. Congrats, Sheraton Dreamland...you lost a repeat customer!

I stayed at this hotel for three nights with my family earlier this month. While the hotel was nowhere close to capacity for the most part it has still been maintained well. The biggest pro I have for this location is the two swimming pools which are both kid friendly. I particularly liked the pool that had the children's pools connect to the opening in the main pool. I traveled with a 2 year old and he along with the rest of the family had a blast. The rooms had the most comfortable mattresses that I have ever slept in while visiting in Egypt. On top of that the A/C was cold and crisp which was a savior given that the temperature was 113F on one of the days during our stay. The only aspect which was disappointing was that the young man at the front desk didn't offer my family any kind of dinning packages for breakfast or dinner. Our choice was either pay a la carte or dine elsewhere, we chose the latter. Nevertheless we had a great stay and now I will be heading back next week with even more family (booked 2 rooms) for an extended weekend holiday!
"best value for money"
That hotel was originally built to be a landmark, but unfortunately the Tourism industry was heavily affected by the Egyptian security situation. Thus they never completed the 2nd wing of the hotel and it left there half finished as a memorial to how great that place would have been. Anyway it the perfect place for a couple of days get away, but mainly for Egyptians and resident expats. It is not close to the pyramids, nothing to view from the rooms but the pools. The rooms are so newly furbished and spacious. Nice modern architecture and very comfortable beds, at the end it is still a sheraton.
