This is a great boutique hotel, simple, but elegant. The staff was very helpful, and the neighborhood was great. The breakfast was good, too. A nice touch - there are many TV channels, including, for example, the 1st Russian channel, which was a nice surprise. We will be back :)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel ... Excellent location"
Hotel was in a great spot. Close to the beach and Boccadasse which is a great spot at night. Bus stop is right out the front of the hotel which makes it easy to get into the town center. Great breakfast and helpful staff. Good sized rooms. Very clean and great sized bathroom. Would stay here again.

Rekommenderas.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Schönes kleines Hotel in Genua"
Schönes Hotel ausserhalb der Innenstadt, Busverbindung zur City.Genuine Expedia guest review
We had a pleasant stay at the Giardino di Albaro while hopping between different hotels in and around Genova. This place had a nice ambience, and it was visible already from the first step through the gates to the court yard of the hotel. Though the hotel is a bit aged, the service is outstanding and breakfast was nice. One could hope for a better access […] to breakfast drinks such as orange juice, but ofcourse if you enjoy a freshly squeezed oranges in the morning, then you're in luck. But you still have to ask for everything you're going to drink in the breakfast buffet. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing place to sleep a night - or a few even, but it's not very close to the Genova city centre. Sometimes that can be a bonus, I got a much needed rest.
"Really nice hotel close to the beach and within easy access to Genoa historic centre"

We spent 2 nights as a family of 5 in 2 bedrooms. This is a small hotel in a nice quiet area within 15 minutes walk to the charming village of Boccadasse and its pebble beach (lovely ice-creams!) but also 15 minutes by bus to the historic centre of Genoa and the main shopping area (bus stop in front of the hotel). The staff is really nice and helpful. There is on site car park for the reasonable cost of 10 Euros per night and the hotel is easy to find when coming from the motorway. Wi-fi is free. Bedrooms and bathrooms are on the small side but very clean and comfortable with a great range of TV channels in different languages and perfectly working climatisation. There is a nice continental style breakfast but be prepared to queue a little as the breakfast room is very small with a limited number of seats. Should we return to Genoa we would definitely use again!
This hotel was great. The bathrooms and bedrooms were very clean and the hotel location was perfect. Only a 5 minute walk to the beach, and surrounded by great food. Easy to get to and Genova is beautiful.
"Friendly family owned hotel in Genoa"

This is our favorite type of hotel in Italy - small, family run, and with character. We spent 3 nights here in May, 2013. We were with a rented car and it's very difficult to find a reasonably priced hotel in the center of Genoa with parking. This hotel is located in a nice city neighborhood (Albaro) about 4 KM from the city center. The bus to the the center of town stops right in front of the hotel, and it runs about every 10-15 minutes. You can also walk to town on the beach-side promenade which is known as Corso Italia. It's also very close to Boccadasse, an ancient fishing village which is itself a popular tourist and entertainment district. It also has several good restaurants. All the rooms are on the ground floor. Breakfast is more than adequate with a selection of cereals, fresh fruit, croissant and other cakes. Picture attached with a part of the breakfast buffet. The best part is the service. The staff were very helpful, and I want to especially mention Walter who was most attentive and extremely helpful. Our room was fine, although it was a bit strange, as instead of a window, it has a door which leads down stairs to the front of the hotel. When we weren't there, we had to be sure to keep the window shutters closed. The number was 22 (or maybe 122). See the attached picture. There are also several restaurants nearby, and a supermarket right across from our door/window and all in all we had a lovely time at this hotel and in Genoa in general.
"Great small friendly hotel"

Good location, friendly helpful staff, good size rooms, clean, nice balcony for breakfast. The orange and polenta cake is delicious! There is a bus stop right outside (tickets from tbacconist/postoffice on the road towards the seafront) with good links to town. The hotel is a short walk to the beach, supermarket and the historic quarter of Boccadasse, which is well worth a visit for the gelato and foccacia alone!
"Friendly and Good Location"

Our family spent a night here on our way from Provence to Tuscany. I made the reservation from Australia and this was handled by staff who were efficient, helpful and friendly. The hotel is in an central location and we were a short walk to the ocean and local restaurants. The rooms were very clean, spacious and quiet. The breakfast was very good and the staff spoke excellent English. We highly recommend this hotel. Thank you from Lynne and Harry van Veen
"Well situated and friendly"

I have stayed in this three star hotel twice and it's really well situated for the waterfront - great for running - and to the delightful little fishing village with the best, but hidden, restaurants in Genova. The staff could not be more friendly, breakfast is very pleasant and the free wireless make this a gets value for money and enjoyable place to stay. I only rate the fitness and swimming as terrible as there's none and there seems to be no way of unticking.
"Great Stay in Genoa"

This is a very nice hotel and well priced. The rooms are clean and they have a very nice breakfast in the morning. The stay is very friendly and most speak English very well, so communication was not a problem. There is some noise from the traffic in the morning, but it's minimal and all and all a very quiet location. My only critique is the wi-fi setup. You get a key that can be used for 3 days, but it get's locked down to one device. This is a little annoying if you travel with multiple devices and seems a bit too paranoid for something like wi-fi access. Otherwise the wi-fi singal was strong and worked well.
"January trip to Genoa"
02/24/12 lordmicha3l the Netherlands
My husband and I went to Genoa for a weekend in the beginning of January. The hotel is situated in Boccadasse: an old fishing village. When arriving by train your stop would be Genoa Brignole and the taxi ride would be around 15 euro. The weather was excellent so we walked the whole Corso Italia to the centre of Genoa. It is a very nice and romantic (but long) stroll! There is also a bus stop in front of the hotel. The exterior of the hotel is very nice. The rooms were described as 'romantic' on both Tripadvisor and own site but I found them to be a bit barren. We also found that the blankets were not really sufficient - however we did not ask for more blankets. That being said the furniture is in good shape, there's free WIFI, the shower is huge and the service and breakfast was very good. All in all I would recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Boccadasse and find a special price like we did.
"In all respects, a very fine 4 star property."
12/11/11 Da7e Geneva, Switzerland
Lovely!! Roomy, elegant, super friendly staff, spotlessly clean. 2 min walk to seaside. Remember in Italy the 4th star is for a conference room (none here), not for comfort level (here, very high). A wonderful surprise. Much more comfy than most "official" 4 stars.
