I loved my three night stay at Courtyard by Marriott in Seattle Kirkland the hotels staff was very nice and the beds were comfortable:) I would highly recommend it and when I'm in Seattle again I will be staying here:)

This was a bit older of a Motel, but I was very impressed how clean it was.I was very happy with the service people. Very friendly and helpful. I missed my plane and they were very good to me and I stayed there one more night. The price is in relationship with the kind of motel this and i was pleased. They deserve their / your business. Their breakfast is only muffins and orange juice.

Location.
This downtown Seattle hotel is close to shopping, theaters, and some of the city’s signature culture. The Paramount Theatre is a block away, and the Washington State Convention & Trade Center and shopping at Pacific Place are within two blocks. Pike Place Market is within approximately one-half mile.

This hotel is perfect. The food is amazing - only use ingredients from local farmers
I hated not having a fan in the bathroom , it is such a small room and my husband had some spicy food the night before!! You know what I mean.

I loved the Olive 8, especially since they were so environmentally friendly BUT you could hear everything. Noises from the hallway and your neighbors. We were around the corner from the elevator but we could still hear it ding when it opened it's doors. Luckily the guests are pretty quiet. The pool deck is heated and it's nice. They gave us free red […] wine and chocolates when we checked in since it was my boyfriend's birthday. The wine wasn't very good but the chocolate cherries were great. We had to ask for the wine/chocolates three times before it actually made it to our room though. Checking in at this hotel was way better than any other hotel I've ever been too. The staff was incredible friendly. Great hotel price too. The bathrooms didn't have enough towel (etc) hanging hooks. The location isn't bad either if you want to hang out in Capital Hill, which I highly recommend the Hip on the Hill tour and ask for Nick, or want to shop downtown. They charge for EVERYTHING here. Charge for using a DVD player. Charge for more than 4 wine glasses. Charge for this, charge for that. Very annoying, I won;t be staying with them again.

"Fantastic "staycation" for our family"
We spent a day/night with our family that included 2 children - 5 and 6. Had a great time in the pool and jacuzzi - not crowded at all and very nice. This is a great place for those wanting an sleek and upscale hotel that is still friendly for kids. Our kids were shocked with the night time delivery of cookies and milk the front desk sent us! Everything here was grand. I arrived late. Wish I could have enjoyed the hotel more. Was here on business. If you have a vehicle over 6.5 feet high you may have to park in a separate parking lot right across the street instead of the hotel's parking garage. Very helpful staff.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Great location. Pool and hot tub were incredible. The room was nice, the only issue was the bathroom door, didn't lock and slides closed. Not a big deal though. This hotel boasts a glass shower but it's not. Its a small cut out in the bathroom wall for the door and take two steps and there is the shower. There was also no tub at all! The hotel boasts jetted tubs but only suites have them. Also its not $34 for parking its $41. Stayed in town for business. Loved this hotel and the staff was extremely friendly. LEED certified hotel - loved that my key card turned off all the light automatically as I left. Everything was super nice and clean in the hotel.

My girlfriend and I stayed there for her Birthday, and it was the best experience I've ever had at a hotel. They helped me arrange for flowers to be delivered to the room, and they even upgraded our room for cheap because of the special event. I will definately go back to the Hyatt Olive 8!!

From the central location in downtown Seattle to the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff; from the pristine cleanliness to the amazing decor of the rooms, this hotel is a fantastic place to use as a launching pad for exploring central Seattle. Did not have an opportunity to sample the in-house restaurant's food.

Great hotel. Like other reviews stated, the only complaint was the lack of water pressure. However, because it is a green hotel, I don't think there is a remedy to this problem. We arrived at 6 in the morning and they actually had a room available for us so we could check in right away. Great location, we could walk to everything.
"Stylish but low water pressure"
The hotel was nice and stylish. We got a corner room which was spacious. Everthing was fine except the shower. The hotel is trying to be echo friendly, so the water pressure was very low.

We stayed at the Hyatt at Olive 8 (on the corner of Olive and 8th) for 3 nights. The room was quiet, comfortable, clean and had a great view of the city. Great location! We walked down to Pike's Place market, down to pier 55 for a cruise through the sound, and over to the Olympic sculpture garden and the space needle. Hotel has lovely decor and our rooms were very comfortable. Health club/pool/steam room area was top-notch. The hotel manager even retrieved my son's bathrobe (left in his room accidentally) and returned it to us, WASHED, in time for our cruise! My only complaint is the restaurant--slow service and rather pricey for breakfast.

Thought it was a great choice. Very short walk to the Washington conference center. The atmosphere of the room and the comfort of the bed were wonderful to come back to after a long day of meetings. Didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the other amenities, but the pool, spa, and fitness center looked top-notch.
the only down side is the valet paking is outragous it just should not cost that much so i will probably not come back because of that

We really liked the location and decor of this hotel. The bathroom was small and hard for my entire family to get ready quickly. The beds were OK in comfort. However, our actual room size was huge.

Nice, trendy hotel, staff was friendly and assisted us as needed during our stay to call a cab, recommend places to visit, provided local area map. Rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. My family and I stay at Hyatt Olive 8 everytime we visit Seattle since it first opened. It is a "green" hotel and loacted near many wonderful site. We originall stayed at the hotel because of its proximaty to the Paramount theatre, but just love the hotel for its style, cleanliness, and fabulous restaurant located in the hotel. Much to our surprise, […] we tried the retaurant one night since we din't want to venture out and found they had some of the best food and great prices for a hotel restaurant. It may not be the Hyatt's fault, but Seattle's King County has draconian environmental laws mandating low-flow shower heads that barely push the water off of your body. Combined with the Hyatt's open glass shower, this meant freezing, long showers to wash the shampoo out of your hair. This hotel is very clean and very modern in appearance. The hotel staff is extremely friendly a d very knowledgeable about surrounding areas. The hotel bar has fantastic drinks and fantastic food. The waitress we had every night was very friendly and knew after serving me a couple of cocktails that I would always take the straws out. To me that says […] a lot about observation and service. The room itself was extremely comfortable and very relaxing. The bathroom has a tiled walk in shower and eco friendly toilets. The room itself was smart about power usage. You have to keep your room key in this card slot near the door that allows for power in the room. When you take the key it the power will only stay on for a minute or two. The room was also accommodating with a small speaker system to dock your iPod onto. The hotel channels on the TV weren't anything to boast about but having a high def flatscreen in the room made it better. Room service was quick and easy, and more importantly delicious. I stayed here for a conference. The lobby is very welcoming and modern. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and modern. The bed was quite comfortable. I was extremely pleased with this hotel. The location is also very good with many restaurants and shops nearby. I would definitely stay here again when in Seattle.
