The stay was great. The room was small but aside from that everything was excellent. The location was close to just about everything, from South Lake Union to Pike Place Market.

I booked through Hotels.com and had no problems. However, the rest of my party booked through the hotel website and had one problem after another. Their original reservation was for three nights, arriving on Tuesday. Weeks before their arrival, they sent the hotel an email changing the arrival date to Wednesday, and received an email back from the hotel […] confirming the reservation change. When they showed up on Wednesday night, they were told that they were charged for a no-show fee for Tuesday night and that no rooms were available for Wednesday night since their reservation had been canceled because of the no-show. The front desk manager reversed the no-show charges, assured them that they would have rooms on Friday night, and found them rooms at a higher-rated hotel that cost $100 more per room. Luckily, I went on hotels.com, and got them rooms at the same hotel for less than the rate at the Olive 8. When they arrived at Olive 8 on Friday morning, they were told that there would only be one of the required two rooms available because of some unspecified miscommunication between the night manager and the day staff. Even though they forwarded the email confirming the reservation change to Wednesday night to the reservation manager on Friday morning, she continued to vaguely suggest that the snafu was their fault for not noticing a typo the hotel made in the reservation number. We had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt @ Olive 8. The staff was friendly and our room was clean and quiet. The location was great, within walking distance to Pike's Market and close to the tram stop for us to catch to go to the Key Arena. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

upon entering the room after checking in we observed dirty towels on the bathroom floor, the bed not made and garbage in the trash can. We immediately returned to the front desk where I received poor customer service. Know since of urgency on-behalf of the hotel staff to correct the situation.

I travel to Seattle 2-3 times/year for business, and I love to stay at this hotel if the rate is low enough for my company's policy. It's new, the rooms are clean and fairly quiet, the gym is AWESOME, there's a coffee shop in the lobby to help wake me up. All around always a great stay.

This is a high quality hotel within walking distance of the airport light rail system Link, and most of those places in central Seattle a visitor would like to visit. A feature we appreciated was their great heated indoor lap pool and sauna.

I stayed at the Hyatt at Olive 8 for three nights and had a wonderful experience. One of the people working at the front desk liked us so much that we were able to get free WiFi for our entire stay! The fitness center and spa are top notch and accommodating; they made me feel like a princess. Perfect location to walk anywhere downtown. Went for a girl's night out, and we were all very pleased with this hotel. Everything from the location to the service to the decor were spot on. The beds and room were very comfortable, and warm, and we enjoyed the large bathtub and hot showers. The soft fluffy robes were a nice touch. The front desk was so nice, the valet went and got my wallet which […] i had left in my car for me. They also brought us complimentary tooth brushes and extra robes promptly and free of charge. Spa was kind of too pricy for us, but there is a nice salt water pool and sauna/steam room for guest use. The rooms were very roomy. Three of us slept comfortably in the double queen room. View was meh, but it was nice city lights, and surprisingly quiet for being on a main street on the weekend. Hotel is central to all Seattle sights. We walked to Space Needle, and Pike's Place Market in heels without complaints. Taxi service was not too pricy to go to Cap Hill or outwards when we got tired of walking. Nearby is all the shopping and eating you need. We forewent the hotel restaurant, I am sure it is good, but there is so much great food in Seattle, you can be choosy. I would recommend this hotel for young couples, business, and short vacation stays. My guest found it strange that they charged for wireless internet in the rooms, and for the price you would expect it be included. Read more

We loved the bar, the restaurant, the pool, sauna, steam room, the proximity to down town shopping/the theater, Pike Street Market. Our only complaint - cold shower stall - not because of a lack of hot water - because of a lack of door.

the front desk staff were highly efficient and friendly. the concierge recommended a sushi place that was outstanding. the location makes walking to most places in the downtown area easy. I like that it is a "green" hotel.

Good location, in walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Rooms are comfortable. Pool and jacuzzi are fabulous. Good Coffee at the hotel restaurant. Valet parking is expensive by the time all the city taxes are added in. In room movie prices are $16.

From the reviews I knew the Hyatt On 8 Olive was going to be good...but had no idea it would be THIS good. The staff are incredible..the room fabulous.. the amenities to die for (you MUST check out the pool, gym, and spa). Room service: amazing. Try the tomato bisque with grilled cheese: it's a WINNER. When a special side item for dinner via room service […] was requested, they graciously honored it. It was good, but not quite what we desired; I just didn't eat it. To my immense surprise, not only did the kitchen leave a kind note of apology: they didn't charge for it. For that alone I'm coming back. For the wonderful staff, the beautiful hotel itself, and it being a green hotel: I'm absolutely coming back and telling everyone that this is THE place to stay in Seattle. BRAVO Hyatt on 8 Olive!
