Went for a girl's night out, and we were all very pleased with this hotel. Everything from the location to the service to the decor were spot on. The beds and room were very comfortable, and warm, and we enjoyed the large bathtub and hot showers. The soft fluffy robes were a nice touch. The front desk was so nice, the valet went and got my wallet which […] i had left in my car for me. They also brought us complimentary tooth brushes and extra robes promptly and free of charge. Spa was kind of too pricy for us, but there is a nice salt water pool and sauna/steam room for guest use. The rooms were very roomy. Three of us slept comfortably in the double queen room. View was meh, but it was nice city lights, and surprisingly quiet for being on a main street on the weekend. Hotel is central to all Seattle sights. We walked to Space Needle, and Pike's Place Market in heels without complaints. Taxi service was not too pricy to go to Cap Hill or outwards when we got tired of walking. Nearby is all the shopping and eating you need. We forewent the hotel restaurant, I am sure it is good, but there is so much great food in Seattle, you can be choosy. I would recommend this hotel for young couples, business, and short vacation stays. My guest found it strange that they charged for wireless internet in the rooms, and for the price you would expect it be included. Read more

My husband and I arrived about 3:30pm on a Saturday and were greeted by very friendly valet. The front desk agent was also very friendly and knowledgable about the property. The room was comfortable and modern. The bathroom had just a shower but no kids so no problem! The toilet seat lid had a slow shut mechanism so it didn't slam shut and now I must […] have these in our home. The room was very clean with the exception of one random cobweb above the bed. Parking is a bit expensive (over $40 w/ tax) but pretty comparable to other hotels downtown. We didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food. But the location is great & quiet - close to shopping & restaurants but far enough away that there were no beggars out front. We had hoped to check out the pool and spa but there wasn't enough time. Maybe next time we'll make it a 2 day staycation. I would definitely recommend. Read more

We loved the bar, the restaurant, the pool, sauna, steam room, the proximity to down town shopping/the theater, Pike Street Market. Our only complaint - cold shower stall - not because of a lack of hot water - because of a lack of door.

the front desk staff were highly efficient and friendly. the concierge recommended a sushi place that was outstanding. the location makes walking to most places in the downtown area easy. I like that it is a "green" hotel.

Good location, in walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Rooms are comfortable. Pool and jacuzzi are fabulous. Good Coffee at the hotel restaurant. Valet parking is expensive by the time all the city taxes are added in. In room movie prices are $16.

From the reviews I knew the Hyatt On 8 Olive was going to be good...but had no idea it would be THIS good. The staff are incredible..the room fabulous.. the amenities to die for (you MUST check out the pool, gym, and spa). Room service: amazing. Try the tomato bisque with grilled cheese: it's a WINNER. When a special side item for dinner via room service […] was requested, they graciously honored it. It was good, but not quite what we desired; I just didn't eat it. To my immense surprise, not only did the kitchen leave a kind note of apology: they didn't charge for it. For that alone I'm coming back. For the wonderful staff, the beautiful hotel itself, and it being a green hotel: I'm absolutely coming back and telling everyone that this is THE place to stay in Seattle. BRAVO Hyatt on 8 Olive! Great location in downtown Seattle. Walking distance to shopping and Pikes Market. Hotel restaurant, Urbane, is a bit pricy but the food is good. Take advantage of the happy hour, selected drinks and appetizers are offered at great prices.

We were greeted by a wonderful staff! They asked us why were in town and explained that we had Dr. appointments and we were also celebrating our wedding anniversary. They sent up a bottle of wine and truffles. The night we were to go to dinner we asked about a cab and they asked where we were going to be going. When we told them El Gaucho's they immediately […] got on the phone scheduled their shuttle to pick us up and let them know it was our anniversary. Carpets in hallways and rooms need deep cleaning. Little details of cleaning are being overlooked. Front desk staff was very attentive. Room key cards are having some issues so after a long day of sight-seeing or shopping you may find yourself locked out. Spa is nice. Urbane is a consistent very nice place to eat and wait staff is attentive.

I thought the room expensive. My room should have at least been vaccumed. The room should have also included enough towels, washcloths and coffee for two people.
