It was a wonderful location. Right on the beach. The grounds were outstanding and beautiful. The rooms were immaculately clean. Unfortunately the beds were very hard and not comfortable. Also there was no elevator. We are old and have bad knees. We had to climb up a flight of stairs to get to our room because they did not have a room on the ground floor […] with two beds. We spent a long weekend here at the end of Novemeber. It was a very nice stay. Hotel was pleasant, it is on a quiet street, and has direct beach access. In our room the bathroom could use some updating, but overall was a very good value. And the staff was excellent - anything we wanted, we got. I would definately stay again.

Susan seemed really perturbed that we booked online, both on the phone beforehand and when we checked in. She actually suggested that we cancel the online reservation and make another with her, at about 50% more! The resort was fairly empty, since it was the middle of the week, and she did accomodate our request for another room when the one assigned […] smelled due to renovations. The renovations were obviously done as cheaply as possible. For example, they skipped adding trim around the new door that had obviously recently been installed on our room. Lovely small quiet motel on the beach. Walking distance to a local pub and stores. Clean, well kept rooms. Staff made you feel like you were staying at a home away from home. Would definitely stay again. Only drawbacks; mattresses were rather firm and the absence of curtains resulted in lights coming through the window all night.

From the $1 Capuccino every morning, to the free use of beach chairs, the free book exchange and freindly, helpful staff. It was reasonably priced and close to Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood and Miami. I made reservations for 9 days but was outta there in one...the oceanview/full kitchen as advertised was incorrect...the ocean was around the corner and down the block....the full kitchen consisted of a toaster a microwave and a coffee maker (that didn't work) located in the bathroom and a huge frig in the sleeping area which was about 10x10, there […] was a closet with a warer heater in it but no chest of drawers to put your cloths in. I imagine they expected you to live out of your suitcase. There were dead bugs on the floor and the place smelled very moldy, there were also tiny knats flying around. The window had a blind on it but no curtain and it was one of those cheap blinds you buy ar Kmart that you can actually see through, It was a ground floor unit so anyone walking by could peer in, I used two of the paper thin towels to cover the window for the one night that we stayed....THIS PLACE WAS AWFUL.... The hosts at the Ebb tide were very nice. the place is a bit dated but clean. It's on the beach so that makes up for some things. Minor complaints, the bed is on wheels and moves. It also has a foam top on it that slides off the bed so you can pretty much imagine what that was like... The bathroom has a pedestal sink. The staff was so very nice. Our room was smaller than we had thought, but, it became a cozy room just for two. The hotel had some years to it, but, that added to it's charm. It was so close to the ocean and the pool-side court yard was gorgeous. Then you see the beach. That was the best. We will stay there again next year!!!

We had a lovely visit at Ebb tide. The hotel was full, yet wonderfully quiet. The rooms are generous, and kitchens well equipped. The beach is perfect and right outside the gate! The only negative was that the windows do not open, probably for security reasons, so we couldn't sleep with the sound of the waves.

Very darling, quaint oceanfront hotel in Pompano. We met the owner and manager who were always present and were very friendly and helpful. We actually were in two rooms because we had to extend our stay last minute. So we had the same room but one was oceanfront, one was not. Both were immaculate! Nice decor touches like quilt bedding and easy chairs. […] Bathroom was very clean and there were closets for clothing plus many drawers. Rooms made for 2 people were small but we were not needing to make the hotel our home base. Otherwise, there are other options at the resort for bigger spaces for family which we saw when walking by (some had doors open). They looked very nice. Pool was heated (year-round). Many gazebos, tables/chairs, grills to use. Property was VERY well maintained and the landscaping was very pretty. All and all we would definitely stay there again! LOVED it! I found this quaint boutique motel after a 20 minute search for something highly-rated, affordable, and near the beach. Ebb Tide was all three. The kitchen was a plus.
