An excellent hotel if you are passing through Laramie and just want to spend the night. Hotel workers were pleasant and the room was quiet and clean.

I was impressed with the cleanliness and having a flat screen tv, mini fridge, and microwave for the price I paid. Also the wifi worked fine. It would be better if they served continental breakfast and or got discounts with local businesses for staying at the motel

On our way to Yellowstone. After a 10 hour day of driving, I am glad that we booked at this location. Was right off freeway/ right back on. Room was larger than standard motel double. put in 2 inflatable mattress'. They don't check for the extra person, as we had 5 in our room 2 adult 2 teens, an 8 yr old. This was the second time I stayed here. It is very easy to find (right at the exit of the highway). Very good quality for the price. The fan in the bathroom was a bit noisy but I always bring ear-plugs, so not a bid deal.

I was pleasantly surprised. For the price I was expecting a dump, however the room was very clean and the furniture all seemed new. It was a very basic hotel, with no amenities, however I would stay there again if I were just looking for a cheap, basic place to stop.

My wife and I stayed here for Discovery Days at the University of Wyoming. The motel is average for places on a budget. They accept pets, which is why we chose it. Just make sure to declare that you have a pet (we did) or else they can charge you a steep fee for sneaking one in. They also "upgraded" us for free to a room with two queens instead of one […] king. This worked great for our dog, because she got the second bed all to herself. The surrounding neighbourhood is a rougher side of town, but nobody gave us any trouble and the motel was pretty quiet. I would recommend walking with another person at night for safety, though. Our biggest disappointment is that the room was a little cold. We didn't ask the staff about this, but we think that the thermostat may not have worked properly. Nevertheless, the room was clean, and the housekeeping staff made our bed and replaced our towels everyday. They also had cable TV and free wi-fi Internet to help ease the boredom. Read more

A nice motel with basic amenities. Although a bit older the room was clean and comfortable. The rug was spotless which I appreciated. The Motel 8 is conveniently located off the I-80 at 3rd (the main drag) in Laramie, just shy of two miles from the University of Wyoming campus. It was a great place to stay while visiting my daughter, as I was not in the room, but on campus, during most of my stay. The bed was relatively comfortable and the shower was adequate (plenty of hot water). […] The free Internet worked quite well. With the HVAC on, I could not hear ANY noise from outside. The neighborhood's not the nicest, and it's not really within walking distance to anything, but it was perfect for the price. I was placed in a room towards the back of the property (away from the freeway) without asking, which was a nice touch in customer service. The negatives: no breakfast or pool. The motel was comfortable. The only drawback was that the carpets need to be replaced (very stained). Excellent service. No continental breakfast, but it was nice to actually eat a breakfast someplace designed for that purpose! I would definitely stay at this motel again.

I was very worried when my husband and I pulled up to the hotel cause the outside area looks a little run down, but once we got into the hotel I was very happy about how clean the room was. The exterior ofthe hotel is not very impressive. The parking lot is in need of repair and some of the exterior railing are rusted through. I don't want to give a bad review simply because of the bad customer service from the hotel staff because the hotel was decent, but it really colors the experience! The front desk staff were pretty bad at their jobs and kept making major mistakes, forgetting reservations, double booking rooms, no towels, wrong key and my main issue- ignoring my Expedia […] reservation and making ME call Expedia to straighten it out! Luckily Expedia customer service was awesome and saved me, but no thanks to the poorly trained staff at Motel 8 Laramie. One nice thing about this hotel was the $5 pet fee, but otherwise, if you are traveling through Laramie, I would say try another hotel along I-80 while Motel 8 trains their staff to actually do their jobs. Don't confuse this with the super 8 We had to stay in Laramie because all the motels in Cheyenne were sold out. Frontier days. Take advantage of this fact. Not real clean, not fancy, but nice very late at night.

We were exhausted from driving across the country but decided to try and get out for the night. We had a cat with us which limits the hotels in any area and adds to the cost ($10-$20/night). We chose motel 8 for combination of pet friendly and price and booked it an hour out of laramie, which meant no cancellation. Iwas dismayed to see it. It's ugly, […] ugly nad tucked into an industrial area at a hwy overpass. There was nowhere to really go to eat except for a mexican and chinese place and nowhere to walk to as the nice downtown part was miles away. Having said that, the rooms were a good size and very clean. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Front desk didn't know wifi password and wes struggled until we got it sorted out an hour later. We gave up on going out and ate in room and slept instead. Inside of room was decent for the price but outside was sad sad sad. After driving through Laramie there are plenty of dismal looking motels where the rooms are unlikely to have been that clean inside though. Read more
