"a jem of a hotel hidden away in a quiet area"
The hotel was wonderful, very helpful service, a great view, a little away from the busy tourist area - which i think is a plus, with a huge terrace. Great value for money! Just one thing to note - ask for a top (5-7) floor room to have a spectacular view. When we are in Athens next time - this will definetely be our choiceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Tolles Hotel im "Friedrichshain" Athens"
Alles gut! Super Lage in Exarchia alles wesentliche fußläufig erreichbar.

"Tolles Hotel in interessanter, zentraler Lage"
Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great option for a stay in Athens!"
03/23/15 Paixtaras Athens
We stayed in Areos Hotel for one night in March. What we really liked was the comfortable bed and the two different types of pillows, the space and the facilities of the room. The cleanliness of everything inside the hotel and the rooms was high-level. The hotel is only a 5-minutes walk to the nearest metro station and also close to bus stops leading to the centre of Athens. The National Archaelogical Museum is just around the corner. The staff was very polite and welcoming, which makes a good impression. Some downsides are the noise due to road traffic and the bells of the nearby church. I am afraid this hotel has poor soundproofing, which is a pity actually. Also, the hotel is located in not one of the best neighbourhoods of Athens (not a problem really, i am just stating), but it is a few meters away from Alexandras avenue, a most central road of the city. The above though, wouldn't discourage me to stay again in this hotel.
"Great hotel, but I had to walk quite a bit (with big suitcase) from subway"
03/17/15 VirginiaNFR Brazil
Listen, the hotel is great! Great staff! Comfortable, big rooms. Great decoration! Lovely bathroom. Nice, simple breakfast. I thought the lift (elevator) was small, but it did the job... hehe... However, I don't travel very light and I painstakingly pushed/pulled my luggage (what seemed to me) a long way... and the sidewalk wasn't very smooth... hehe... It was difficult. :) So, in sum, even though it's not really very far from the subway station, with luggage it wasn't a pleasant experience. I was travelling alone. I thought it was a quiet hotel, even with my room window turned to the street and I got good tips from the recepcionist about what to do while I was there and I thought I got a lot out of my two and a half days there, including a cruise to 3 isles (Hydra, Aegina and Poros). I would recommend it.
"2 Nights in Athens"
03/03/15 SahinDikmen Istanbul, Turkey
We paid 120 € for two nights. We took metro from airport to Victoria station. It took us 50 minutes to arrive at the hotel. The receptionist named Antonis, was really nice to us. He is one of best receptionists i have ever seen , he helped us a lot . Surprisingly, they did upgrade our room. The room was well furnished and all the properties were new. Our room was too hot , we did not know why it was. Because of our room being near the road, it was quite noisy during the night. Wi-Fi was weak in the room.
"Excellent value for money"

I'm very much impressed by the whole experience. Our room was big enough with 25sqm. Curtains were thick; Tv, refrigerator, air conditioning, warm water worked well. Wifi needs to be improved. Breakfasts were very generous for that price. Well designed and clean. Staff speaks English and was always helpful. It's walking distance to a soholike non-touristy centre called Exarchia square. I loved the graffiti everywhere. It was like an open air art gallery with beautiful small restaurants and bars scattered around.
"Small but good"
02/09/15 Gpeti Budapest
The hotel is located reasonably close to the Victoria metro station, which makes good access to all tourist sigths. Buy a one day transport ticket to explore Athnes!. You can find small bars and restaurants nearby. Be aware that around 6th of December there are always protests which can get close to the hotel. There were no issues and the receptionist informed us where NOT TO go to avoid any problems. The room was cleen and nice with a small kitchen corner. Brekfast is ok, but after 3-4 days it becomes boring as the chioces are not that wide.
"Cheap and... Chic!"

Very clean and organised Hotel. The staff was very helpful and kind, they suggested us many place to visit and many restaurants to try. Simple but good breakfast, Victoria metro station is 5 minutes walking. The price was actually very good. Probably the hotel might be considered a bit out of the centre of town, by the way we would definitely suggest to stay here!

By far the most clean hotel I have ever stayed in! Nice rooms, (especially the suite!!) large comfortable beds, simple but good breakfast and very helpful friendly staff, great value, great view of Lykavittos hill, public transport availability, short walk to the metro.I will absolutely stay again!
"Perfect location and service"
01/16/15 Zexixiaobao Birmingham, United Kingdom
very clean and organised hotel, excellent staffs and they were helpful.location of the hotel was great, nearby Victoria metro station and also numbers of bus station just few mins by walking, and walking distance to the centre of attractions. the breakfast was nice and plenty amounts. The only problem was poor wi-fi connection in the room and the room size was cute.
"Very reasonable rates out of season"

Had the top floor apartment (room 700) for 2 nights for my birthday. really nice room but a bit tired and rough around the edges. Staff were friendly and helpful. room has fridge and very large balcony with great view of Lykavittos hill and a distant view of the Acropolis. Breakfast is simple teas, filter coffees, cereal, bacon, eggs, and continental breakfast stuff. The hotel is close to Victoria metro station on the green line so easy to get to from the airport by metro (change at Monastiraki blue line). We got the 20 euro 3 day "tourist tickets" which covered a return trip to/from the airport and unlimited travel for 3 days on bus/metro/trolley bus/tram. This hotel is also 2 blocks from the Archaeological museum which is a stop for the hop on hop off buses. Also, regardless of the hotel you chose to stay at, dont forget to purchase the 6 in 1 site pass for 12 euros which covers a lot of the main sites including the Acropolis, the south slope, and Zeus's temple.
"Excellent value hotel"
11/14/14 Andrew B Market Harborough, United Kingdom
We stayed at the Areos for five nights over the Marathon weekend and couldn't have asked for more. The staff were all brilliantly friendly and helpful, particularly Frank on reception, the bedroom was immaculately cleaned everyday and the facilities in the room ideal without being showy. We chose a 'suite' for a few extra euros per night (based on previous Tripadvisor reviews/recommendations) and this gave us lots of space - with a whole floor of the hotel to ourselves! The food at breakfast was super, but the drinks were average - tasteless orange juice and 'brewed' coffee, although 'proper' espresso etc was available as an extra. The location in the University area was brilliant, just a couple of metro stops from the centre, but with some excellent value restaurants nearby - half the price of the centre.
