"a jem of a hotel hidden away in a quiet area"
The hotel was wonderful, very helpful service, a great view, a little away from the busy tourist area - which i think is a plus, with a huge terrace. Great value for money! Just one thing to note - ask for a top (5-7) floor room to have a spectacular view. When we are in Athens next time - this will definetely be our choiceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Tolles Hotel im "Friedrichshain" Athens"
Alles gut! Super Lage in Exarchia alles wesentliche fußläufig erreichbar.

"Tolles Hotel in interessanter, zentraler Lage"
Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

By far the most clean hotel I have ever stayed in! Nice rooms, (especially the suite!!) large comfortable beds, simple but good breakfast and very helpful friendly staff, great value, great view of Lykavittos hill, public transport availability, short walk to the metro.I will absolutely stay again!
"Perfect location and service"

very clean and organised hotel, excellent staffs and they were helpful.location of the hotel was great, nearby Victoria metro station and also numbers of bus station just few mins by walking, and walking distance to the centre of attractions. the breakfast was nice and plenty amounts. The only problem was poor wi-fi connection in the room and the room size was cute.

Had the top floor apartment (room 700) for 2 nights for my birthday. really nice room but a bit tired and rough around the edges. Staff were friendly and helpful. room has fridge and very large balcony with great view of Lykavittos hill and a distant view of the Acropolis. Breakfast is simple teas, filter coffees, cereal, bacon, eggs, and continental breakfast stuff. The hotel is close to Victoria metro station on the green line so easy to get to from the airport by metro (change at Monastiraki blue line). We got the 20 euro 3 day "tourist tickets" which covered a return trip to/from the airport and unlimited travel for 3 days on bus/metro/trolley bus/tram. This hotel is also 2 blocks from the Archaeological museum which is a stop for the hop on hop off buses. Also, regardless of the hotel you chose to stay at, dont forget to purchase the 6 in 1 site pass for 12 euros which covers a lot of the main sites including the Acropolis, the south slope, and Zeus's temple.
"Excellent value hotel"

We stayed at the Areos for five nights over the Marathon weekend and couldn't have asked for more. The staff were all brilliantly friendly and helpful, particularly Frank on reception, the bedroom was immaculately cleaned everyday and the facilities in the room ideal without being showy. We chose a 'suite' for a few extra euros per night (based on previous Tripadvisor reviews/recommendations) and this gave us lots of space - with a whole floor of the hotel to ourselves! The food at breakfast was super, but the drinks were average - tasteless orange juice and 'brewed' coffee, although 'proper' espresso etc was available as an extra. The location in the University area was brilliant, just a couple of metro stops from the centre, but with some excellent value restaurants nearby - half the price of the centre.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very good location, close to an area with many small and priceworthy restaurants. Also, less than 5 minutes walk from the very interesting Archeological Museum. Also, walking distance from the main food market (fish, seafood, meat, vegetables etc) in Plaka which is impressive. The only negative points were the rather dull immediate neighbourhood and the sometimes slow service at the breakfast buffet.,

Very comfortable and cean friendly hotel. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Make sure you leave time in your trip to visit the Archeological Museum just down the road - brilliant! PS the Mythos aint half bad too! Roger

Hotel is very close to the museum. Less than 2;blocks from the hop on and off buses. Be careful when booking triple room. We specifically asked for triple not with roll away bed. Guess what??when we arrived there was our rollaway. Lame excuse. Otherwise nice place to stay. We had early departure to Capadocia son we did not get to enjoy the breakfast. Stayed at the same hotel when we came back from our overnight trip. They stored our luggage and the front desk was very helpful with all needs except our bed accommodations. No big deal.
"friendly and warm atmosphere"

First impression was a bit disappointing for us as the hotel was situated among rather old buildings with no view at all except rather busy traffic side road. As we stayed on, we felt the staff are very friendly and well organised breakfast, good rotation of food and staff are always happy to help if things are needed on the table, extremely efficient. The only thing I found it rather strange as the small children's forks were provided for breakfast, its hard for someone with big hands like my husband, otherwise as far as continental breakfast is concern, we are happy with it for the two weeks we stayed. Room was small, but bathroom was very spacious and clean, love the shower. The receptionist are friendly and helpful especially the guy call Frank, its translated from Greek for easy communication, he is very informative and knowledgable, very helpful indeed. We love the hotel, definitely will come back again and will recommend to anyone. Location is good, 5 to 10 minutes walk to metro, bus or tram routes.
"Great boutique hotel"
10/14/14 Fabimoco Burlingame, California
We started off our Greece vacation by staying 2 nights at Areos Hotel. We settled with this hotel because of the reviews and the ratings it had on tripadvisor.com and the price per night seemed affordable, a total of $187 dollars for the both nights. We arrived early for check in and we were told that a room was ready at that time but if we waited 30 minutes another, much better room with a view, would be available. So we waited lol. The room was very small, which is ok with us. But it had a modern look to it and it also had a big balcony. The only problem that I had with the room was the in the bathroom. The toilet was too close to the shower door. I'm an average size guy and I had trouble sitting down because my legs and knees were hitting the shower door lol. Besides that, the room and hotel were just fine. The hotel was very close to the metro which we didn't take because we didn't mind walking about 30 mins to Plaka. It was also walking distance to Exarchia Square where we had lunch. Breakfast was included, which is great way to start the day. I hate waking up and trying to figure out where to have breakfast lol. Breakfast consisted of coffee, tea, juice, toast, eggs, bacon, cereals, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, veggies, and Greek yogurt.
"Modern, stylish hotel in a great location"
10/11/14 MsKam Dubai, United Arab Emirates
We stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of our trip to Greece. Our luggage was delayed by 36 hours and everybody at the reception was extremely helpful in settling us in and finally getting the luggage delivered from the airport. The rooms are a good size (at least the one we had on the 5th floor), huge balcony and modern good sized bathrooms with nice showers on top of it everything was spotlessly clean. The location as mentioned by others is great central. Overall exceptional value for money, we would stay again anytime.
