"Great Location, excellent staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Stayed here on our honeymoon, couldn't have asked for a better place for the money. The staff was extremely helpful with speedy check in/out. Concierge staff was on their A game the entire time. Room was cleaned daily and very comfortable. The bar was nice but a bit expensive ( but that's London). Vauxhall tube station is only a five minute walk which isn't bad at all. There is a grocery store next door that has about everything you need. Was a great stay.

Just what we expected. everything was good except the wash basin drain was full of hair and drained poorly. surprised that the maid service didn't report it

Excellent stay and very happy with service. The area is not that exciting but was refreshing as alternative since I normally stay on other side of town. Very much a modern hotel. Wi-Fi without encryption but worked well. Didn't test a lot of other facilities. Close to Tate Modern and St Paul.
"DO NOT STAY HERE!!!"
I booked two rooms through hotels.com -- Stayed here on my honeymoon for a one night in London before making our way to Paris France. I called at 9m and told them that we would be arriving late but that we were on the train on our way and should arrive at 11pm - 12am. They assured me we had a room for 24 hours. When i arrived with my new wife, mother, […] and sister and her 3 MONTH OLD BABY WE WERE TOLD THEY OVERBOOKED OUR ROOM!!!! IT was midnight and they wanted to take us to another hotel even further away from St Pancras and we had a morning train to Paris. They wanted to put us in a presidential suite with my mom and sister all in the same room on my first night as being married!!! They said they would put cots in the room. We said no and they booked us a room in another hotel they owned. They said they would pay the taxi but upon arrival the taxi driver demanded payment from US. Took 30 minutes to sort out that the taxi was going to be paid by the hotel. All in all they are liars and through out me and my niece who is a baby at midnight!!!!! Worst service i have ever had at a hotel!!! Read more

"Good hotel"
Location is pretty good, about 5 minute walk to tube station. Hotel is very nice, clean, good service, good hotel bar. Internet is spotty, both in room and in common areas.

"Grange in london 5 star hotel"
A very nice hotel,clean,2 very up scale restaurants with very good food. Very busy area as it is the business district of London. The staff was very helpful and professional. We would stay here again.
"Great location, Great Amenities, Bad Service"
I'm one who usually only writes reviews if I like the place. So this is an interesting review. I love the location, the amenities of the hotel, the room size was great. But the service was sub-par to bad. For the price I would expect great service and the service I got was almost non-existent. No response to a prior email about checking in early, no […] response to a query about a shuttle to the airport, and the free wireless was in-adequent so I had to pay 10 pounds an hour to get decent service. Though I would recommend it - because of the location. I'm hard pressed to say that I would return. I have to be back in London in a few weeks - and not sure if I would stay there. Read more
"Wish they paid more attention to business travel"
The location is great but the small things are in serious need of work -- particularly troubles accessing wifi from parts of the hotel and terrible "dead spots" for using mobile phones from rooms. Makes it difficult to do work from the hotel.
"Stylish but luke-warm shower"
Very stylish and well-located hotel, but the room heating didn't work properly and the morning shower was luke-warm! When I mentioned this to reception they were neither surprised nor particularly apologetic. There is, however, a nice indoor pool (and showers with hot water!), but the sauna was out of order. All in all a disappointment for the price, […] but could be great if they'd fix the fundamentals and improve customer service. Read more

"Great stay"
We enjoyed our stay very much. Location, room, amenities and staff were all good. Only criticism is of food quality and service e.g. no salt and pepper on table, no teaspoon. We would stay here again.

"Grange St Pauls - Nice hotel"
Good location, comfy bed - however was disturbed at 3am by the loudest fire alarm and a red flashing light in the bedroom - apparently due to a guest who started smoking in the room. So not really hotels fault - but at least we know the smoke alarms work and wake you up!!! Bathroom was clean, shower was very very nice, toiletries could be better. Didnt […] have breakfast as woke up too late! Read more
"Grange St Pauls"
Lovely hotel and great views of St Pauls. However, the bathroom stank! Bad drains. Also the electric plug in the bathroom for shavers/toothbrushes is temperamental (always is in Grange Hotels)
"very nice hotel"
The rooms were clean and of good size. The staff were friendly and the pool is nice. Would stay here again
"St. Pauls London - good location"
Hotel has good location, close to the tube and the Cathdral. It is not very big but comfortable.
"Good City hotel"
Hotel is right next to St Paul's and just across the millennium bridge from Tate Modern and south bank walkway. Clean modern and spacious. Note many rooms look inwards to a big atrium and some are in an adjoining building, although it's just a few steps away from main building.
"The Grange st Pauls"
5 star treatment, very good value for money. will go again. 5 star*********************
"Grange St Pauls"
Great hotel, Great Staff what more could you want...
"The Grange St. Paul's - great location"
The staff were very helpful, especially at the concierge desk. Our room was on the 6th floor, very comfortable & clean. We ate at both the Centre Page pub (cooked English breakfast £5) & the Cafe Rouge (lunch once & dinner twice). Both were first class and close to the hotel. They both open on Sundays. The hotel is 20 minutes walk to Trafalgar Square, […] with the Courtauld Gallery on the way. It's a must see for art lovers. From Medieval to Renaissance to Impressionism. Tube trains, main line rail and buses are all a short walk. Everyone we met in London was very friendly and helpful, from restaurant staff to the citizenry. London is a great city and I never tire of visiting it. I would definitely stay at the Grange St. Paul's again. Read more
"Grange St. Paul's ticks all the right boxes."
This hotel really is well located in the historic heart of the City of London. St. Pauls is on your doorstep, and the adjacent Millennium Bridge extends the neighbourhood to include Tate Modern and the South Bank. I had no experience of the food in the hotel because there were so many other good outlets within a short walk. The room was very comfortable […] with one of the best showers I've seen in a Hotel for a long time. Read more

"Excellent hotel minor improvements needed"
An excellent hotel with only a few points that need attention. Firstly the internal signage in the hotel is poor, particularly going to, from, and within the gym/spa/pool area. In addition there are a number of internal doors in the hotel with 'pull' handles on them but the door needs to be pushed. Guests can be seen wandering round wondering where […] things are and pulling vigorously on doors that won't open because they need to be pushed open and they are pulling. The hotel management should put some dicrete 'push' signs on doors and look again at the signage in the helath and fitness area. Second point is the check out. On my check out a queue of circa 8 people had built up at 8.30. There was one person on the desk and one in the office behind sorting out a check out problem. After a few minutes two more reception people appeared and the queue eventually went down. My point on this is that at peak check out time in a 5 star hotel all available reception staff should be on the desk rather than elsewhere in the hotel. Thirdly the shower screen in my room (707) leaked meaning mopping the floor with towels after every shower. Other minor point is with housekeeping and replacement of toietries, tea and coffee etc. During my stay it was somehwat eratic in that some days there would be no shower gel but multiple conditioner, and all decaff coffee and no regular. The housekeeper needs to carry out spot checks to keep the bedroom staff on their toes and up to 5 star standard. Otherwise a first rate hotel I would recommend to anyone. Plus points for the hotel are a good hotel bar with affordable food, a fantastic central atrium, good security and good gym facilities. Read more
"Good hotel"
Good location because the subway is close to the hotel and there is a big mall near it. Wonderful services and comfortable room. I love it ~
"Grange St. Pauls London"
Nice room, good service. Excellent gymnasium! However signs should be better, so it'd be easier to find my way to the room and gym.

"Impressive hotel, more staff training required"
This is a very impressive hotel in a great location. The room was good, although the view of a victorian office block wasn't great (it is in the city so probably not a shock). The greeting at reception wasn't quite brusque, but wasn't warm, but the hotel was busy with a big event that evening so perhaps they were over-stretched. All other staff were […] helpful, so could have been a bad moment. Breakfast was OK but over-priced. Overall a good hotel, but a few things to work on. Read more
"Excellent hotel"
Good beds, good size room (Exec), good atmosphere and location. Not tried fitness suite or food yet. TV should be bigger.

"Grange Hotel St Pauls London"
Great hotel and location, we did not eat there but used local restraunts. Staff were very good from all of the hotel services. Would I stay again " absolutely yes " Thanks for a great weekend.
"Excellent hotel"
Hotel in excellent condition, very spacious, great facilities. Helpful and efficient staff added to good experience. Will definitely stay there again.

"The Grange St Paul's"
A very modern 'corporate' hotel, very close to St Paul's Cathedral which is why I chose it. I thought I had booked breakfast with the room but unfortunately found out that I hadn't - wasn't prepared to pay over £20 for a full breakfast so went elsewhere.

"Not ideal for families"
My 10 year old daughter and I recently stayed from Sunday to Tuesday to visit all the sights. Great location to base from and excellent facilities, BUT be aware, children can not use the pool and Spa area on weekdays at any time, only between the hours of 2.30pm & 4.30pm. Also the cost of the breakfast is extreamly high and not good value for money […] . However the rooms are clean, comfotable and well maintained. Idea for business & couples not families. Read more

"Hotel Grange St Paul"
Great locality and stylish hotel but unfortunately most uncomfortable bed ever encountered on our travels. Such a shame for otherwise nice hotel.
"Brilliant Romantic Weekend Away"
After following advice from Hotels.com and TripAdvisor, l made a booking at the Grange St Paul's Hotel for a birthday weekend in London. The hotel is modern, very well presented and the staff on arrival were very helpful, despite our late check-in time. Throughout our stay, the hotel lived up to the high expectations that we held and there were only […] two minors point that came up during our stay: - The Bar downstairs in the evening could offer quite slow service, mainly due to making cocktails but it was only a minor irritation. - There was only one bath robe and towel provided but as soon as we asked, this was rectified. All in all, a brilliant weekend and couldn't recommend Grange St Paul's enough, Read more
"Grange St Pauls"
Very impressed fom check in to check out. Location was perfect, about 150 mtrs from underground. We would definately recommend this hotel.
"Highly Recommended"
An excellent hotel with an exceptionally staff. I would highly recommend this hotel. The use of the pool and sauna were a welcome relief from the hustle of the city.
"Superb value for money and location"
A new hotel, but with a nice character in the historic surroundings of St. Paul's cathedral. Hotel gave us a brilliant room with a view. Food and drink prices are very reasonable for a 5* hotel and London.
"perfect stay"
5 Min walk from the underground,very helpful staff,comfy bed,modern deco...nothing to complain...
"Excellent Hotel for the price"
We stayed there on a Friday Night in an executive room ( only difference was a slightly bigger bed). I expect that the hotel is used many for business customers and Friday nights are therefore considerably discounted, but if you are going to the West End then the saving you can make over West End hotels is sufficient to warrant a £10 cab fare. Nice […] hotel in excellent position very near three tube stations and overlooking St Pauls. Room was clean and tidy with all you would expect, although a little small if you were staying in it for a week or so. Breakfast was good, but we didn't try the restuarant or bars as there is so much choice in the near vicinity. We would definately go back Read more
