Excellent location accessible to shopping and public transportation. Great English breakfast; staff friendly. But the facility is outdated; narrow hallway, old elevator; bathroom door does not close. Need upgrading.

Wonderful view of the sea on second floor AND that means I was right on/above the main street. On a weekend...OMG! The noise level of the partying 20somethings was unbelievable. TAKE EARPLUGS. If you are a light sleeper, you will not be able to sleep at all...it went on all night. Nonetheless, I loved this hotel. Awesome staff as well.

1 night stay to visit new grandchild. Perfect location. Terrific breakfast. Great value for money. Nothing fancy - just friendly, good service. Perhaps heating a trifle over warm in the room for me, but better that than too cold!

Very comfortable and excellent breakfast. Friendly staff . We would come again. Small matters need attention - one light in bedroom and one in bathroom over mirror not working. Loo roll holder falling off wall

I stayed at The Mowbray as I was on business in Eastbourne. The lady who checked us in was very welcoming and suggested restaurants nearby for the evening (there are 2 itallian restaurants that offer 10% off if staying at The Mowbray). There is also a lovely Tapas bar nearby. As I was starting work early, breakfast can be served early upon request (normal […] times are 8:15am - 9:15am but I ordered mine for 7:15am). There was plenty to choose from at Breakfast and it was very nice. The rooms are modern looking and clean, a tad warm but that is my only criticism. There is a lift onsite. Location OK, nearby restaurants. Friendly welcome. Rooms not at all like the photos on the website, very tired looking, poor decor. Bathroom (if you can call it that) was appalling, when sitting on the loo you had to place your left leg in the bath!

Right from registration, complimentary teas and street parking vouchers. Clean and comfortable. Located close to theatre land and only a short walk from the sea and pier. Street was quiet at night. Staff were great and super efficient Would use again.

Very pleasent staff...tiny bathroom...hotel situated by the seefront and major streets....noise until midnight and from 6 oclock again...have the ear plugs with you if you stay..delicious breakfast..:)
