When planning our current trip, my husband said that he'd never been on the Atlantic coast and wanted to see it. I found the Wellington Hotel through hotels.com, and it looked nice so I booked it. Best. Decision. Ever. The hotel is wonderful, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, the room combined old-fashioned charm with a very modern en-suite bathroom, and the location is stunning. Also a big selling point is the hotel's chef, who provided us with an incredible dinner and luscious desserts, with tea served in the warm and inviting loungee. My only warning is that the hotel doesn't have elevators and the rooms are two flights up, so be aware that you will be climbing stairs. if you don't have a problem with that, you're guaranteed a wonderful stay.

Hearty, gourmet food - best on entire trip!! Extraordinarily helpful hosts at front desk who helped research bus schedules and gave a lift to town. Local bus stop very near. Lovely walking trails at nearby manor house gardens.

It was a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The service was outstanding. All staff members were very friendly and always tried to help. Very easygoing atmosphere, ideal for family vacation.

Fabulous value for money. Attention to detail was really great. Such friendly, competent hosts.

This beautiful coastline boasts superb, sandy beaches, pretty fishing villages such as Polperro and Mevagissey, and small resorts such as Looe and Falmouth. The Lizard headland is famous for its cove beaches, and the creeks around Plymouth, Fowey ('foy'), and Falmouth are particularly appealing and attract yachtsmen. Magnificent gardens come right down to the coast, while the spectacular Eden Centre is the world's finest 'plant theme park'.

We had a relaxing stay at this lovely farmhouse. Dave and Philippa were very hospitable and provided an excellent English breakfast, with lots of cereal, fresh fruit and drink options. We would stay again when next in the area. We enjoyed visiting the local towns and National Trust properties. I stayed at Tremadart House for two nights with my girlfriend and had a lovely time. The room was large, nicely decorated and very clean. A hearty well cooked breakfast with alternatives to the traditional fry-up was excellent. The house is in a lovely village/countryside setting with a very high standard foodie pub less than five minutes walk away.
