"Good value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Value proposition is good for the purpose of the visit.
"great for business travler"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012
Very anticeptic - strictly business. Kind of out of the way, not within walking distance of anything. New - everything works - food at hotel fair. Go here if you are on business, not for entertainment. It is perfect for getting stuff done without distractions.

"One night in Calgary"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 30, 2012
Over all it was good. Since i was there for a n=oone night stay the area was not an issue, if i was there longer i would like to have been in a different area, but i felt the area to be safe, and that is what really counts

"Apt living in a hotel"
Great hotel for people staying for a while. Not really a one night hotel. Seemed a little overpriced for what it was. Had a kitchen but not many things in the kitchen to use to cook with. The air conditioner was in the middle of the room with a hose attached to the window. That was weird! Overall a good place!
"Skinny Hotel"
This room was amazing. Whoever laid it out was a genius. The only problem was that the parking was not close enough. I know it is impossible to have parking in such a location but that was the only problem
"Very Modern"
I enjoyed staying here, although the parking and initially getting into the hotel was a hassle. The parking is across the street in a garage, which is fine but its confusing where to park when checking in. You have to call a phone# upon getting to the door for an access code. The style and amenities of the room were great. Very nice patio, ipod player, […] modern syling. Starbucks right below on the corner and a couple of decent restaurants within walking distance. I would stay here again for sure. Read more
"Great hotel if you don't expect much"
I booked the Nuvo Hotel based on the high rating it got on this and other travel websites. I think it would be a great hotel if you don't need much more than a comfortable place to stay or if you have an extended stay and need the in room washer, dryer, full kitchen. Probably a great place to stay for the Stampede. If you're in Calgary on business, […] though, you may want to keep looking. It's not within walking distance of the downtown business core and there aren't any hotel amenities to speak of. Parking is particularly problematic. They do have a limited number of spaces under the hotel but I was told to use the secure parking a couple of blocks away. Due to some snafus with the access card, my car was trapped in the garage and I ended up being very late for an important morning meeting. On the plus side, the staff is friendly. So if you want an apartment style hotel that's a bit off the beaten path and plan on driving or taking public transit everywhere, it's a good choice. For business, not so much. Read more
"Great Location and Kitchen, needs some improvement"
Hi, I attended a conference at the Hyatt and it was very easy for me to go between the Nuvo hotel and the Hyatt. The kitchen was wonderful. I appreciated that I was able to save money since a grocery store is just across the street from the hotel. My challenges were the following: I was facing the street on the 2nd floor. They had a air conditioner […] in the sliding glass door. It was very easy for someone to enter the unit since the door could be opened from the outside since I was on the 2nd floor. I removed the air conditioner to close the door. The 2nd issue was the floors/carpeting in the unit. The floors are concrete with some type of paint. The floors needed to be repainted. The small area rug had way too many stains and needed to be replaced. It should have been removed and it would have looked better. I would stay there again but I would ask to stay in a different room. There were none available while I was there. Read more

"Nuvo Hotel - Calgary"
If you're into funky and new then this might be the hotel for you. If you're a biz traveler who's looking for room to work with the comforts of home - then maybe not. Nice style, retro and funky but not a lot of functionality about the decor and room in general. Room was an upgrade, which is always nice, but didn't provide me with any better stay. Parking […] is too far away for it to be convenient - more of a hindrance really. Read more
"Excellent hotel. I recommend it."
I have stayed at Nuvo now twice and will definately go back again. Rooms are very modern, clean, and the service was good. I was extremely surprised at how comfortable the murphy bed was.
"Nuvo Hotel and Suites"
I was very pleased with the lay out of the room and all the ammenities in it, however the floors were very dirty, black hair on it, and the area rug was not clean at all, the bed however was clean and comfortable.
"Value for Buck"
The hotel is located in the Beltline and the room was quite good; although I did front 12th Ave. The check-in system was a bit odd, but the overall style of the room was better than a normal hotel. I wouldn't say this a boutique hotel but it offers everything you need and nothing you don't. I travel for business quite a bit and would stay at this location […] again, but I am a low maintenance person. Read more
I wasn't too impressed with this hotel. It doesn't have an elevator and my room was on the top floor. I don't mind thaking the stairs, but it's a drag when you have luggage. Internet access was extremely slow which was frustrating when trying to get some work done. Didn't have hot water for a shower my first night, but that problem was taken care of […] very quickly by the night time staff and by morning things were fine. Overall the staff was great and very accomodating and I started to enjoy the zen feel of the room on the second day. It was quite comfortable. I don't plan to stay here again, unless absolutely necessary. Read more

"Nuvo hotel, just above nap and crap status"
I stayed at the Nuvo hotel (Room 207) and it's good if you're lookn for a cheaper place to stay in the SW part of down town. The room was fairly comfortable, however the rug inside was stained and dirty. The curtians did nothing to block the daylight from coming in and you can hear everyone talking in the back alley (no noise buffering there). It's […] a converted appartment building, so don't expect too many ammenities from inside it, but it's across from the Safeway, so there is a place close by to fill the mini fridge. Read more

"Nuvo Hotel - not bad"
Based on what I expected from the hotel and based on the reviews I had read, this hotel worked out just fine. It was helpful to know that the front desk is not open 24/7 and that checking in was much easier if you arrived before it closed. The room was pretty nifty. Not huge, but a great use of space. It was really hot though, before we figured out […] how to use the air conditioner. My only complaint would be that the air conditoner/ fan was pretty scuzzy. Over all, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return to this hotel. Read more
"Das Nuvo Suites Hotel liegt Nähe Downtown Calgary"
gutes Mittelklassehotel Nähe Downtown, stylisch eingerichte Suiten, sauber. Leider gibt es keinen Lift.
