"Las Brisas is great!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 2, 2012
My girlfriend and I stayed at Las Brisas over Christmas 2011 and really had an awesome time. The hotel is beautiful, and the owners, Rachel and John were really kind and helpful. The pool and the gardens that surround it make for a perfect tropical paradise. I'd definitely recommend a stay here - it's a great value! Closest to Playa Hermosa, but a short taxi ride to Playa Jaco and Playa Herradura, the beaches can't be beat!
"Beautiful place with great people"Reviewed by JoJo S of "New York, NY" on Jan 8, 2011
Although Docelunas is not that close to beach - 5 mins taxi- 25 mins walk, it's still a wonderful little paradise. I was initially disappointed with its location, so after 7 nights, I moved to another hotel that is on the beach. That was a mistake. Docelunas is beautiful and fun. I decided to check back in once they had availibility as the hotel I was in was disgusting. Docelunas has a great yoga studio and very good Yoga instructors. Jennifer, who works at the front desk and teaches Yoga, is very helpful, fun and courteous. Brian, the manager, is as efficient as a Swiss watch. Every time I wanted a taxi, surf lesson, stand up surf lesson, and any other activity, Brian and Jennifer were on top of it and made everything super easy. Sadly, my room had a lot of shower problems and at times I had no pressure but Brian adjusted my bill accordingly and was very very upset by the situation. I love my hot showers but even the lack of those didn't deter me from wanting to stay at the peaceful oasis that is Docelunas. I plan to return there on my next trip.
