This is a very friendly B&B, with lots of additional personal touches such as dressing gowns, quality soaps etc in the room. Very good value for money. Situated a 10/15 minute walk from the centre of town and the seafront.

This is a really excellent B&B run by a very friendly and helpful couple. Our room was lovely, beautifully decorated with a spotlessly clean en-suite shower room. The breakfasts were top quality and the coffee was particularly good.

A warm welcome and very comfortable accomodation (although the shower was a little bit hit-and-miss). Comfortable beds and all the little things were provided, including dressing gowns!Breakfast was excellent and the kids were well catered for - which made it a great choice. Kate and John were excellent hosts.

Just home from a 2 night visit to Sidmouth. The Southcroft B&B proved to be a fantastic choice. We had the twin room and were very impressed by the cleanliness and the little touches added to the room to make the stay feel more like "home". After a very wet afternoon trekking with Llamas we were greeted warmly by Kate & John and shown to a very comfortable […] room; the shower was superb (due to the weather conditions we were soaked to the skin!). There was plenty of milk, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, speciality teas and some very nice biscuits. Breakfast was lovely - plenty on offer and cooked perfectly. We would thoroughly recommend Southcroft; not least due to the warmth of the hosts, who were really a lovely couple. Hopefully, we'll head down that way again, and Southcroft will be the No.1 place for us! Read more

Myself & my husband booked to stay at Southcroft B&B for 2 nights and I wish we could have stayed a bit longer! You get such a warm welcome on arrival, Kate & John were so kind and sweet – totally adorable people. Nothing was too much for them to ensure you have the most comfortable stay! The rooms are very clean, we booked the family room for extra […] space, with an ensuite shower & it was perfect for us! Our room was facing the main road, so a little bit noisy but due to the sea air we zonked out at night anyway. John made us a full English brekkie in the mornings and you also had the (healthier) options of cereal, yoghurts & fruit. The coffee was lovely, nice & strong! The walk down to the beach takes about 10-15 mins, and if you go by the lakeside it is even nicer. We parked up around the corner from the B&B, not too far to walk at all. So we walked into town both days to save parking trauma as it was quite busy at the seafront. I would really recommend dining at the Pea Green Boat on the Esplanade, lovely cozy café/restaurant and cheap too! Read more

Very welcoming from the owners, one Italian, one English who were very accommodating. The room was spotless and the breakfast excellent. Not overtly advertised as a B&B but it works .We stayed 2 nights.Parked in the road opposite with no trouble at all. A short walk in to the centre of Sidmouth.There is a local walk by a pretty river called The Byes […] that takes you down to the seafront. Thoroughly rercommend. Read more

This B & B was very good for us. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Town Centre & a 15 minute walk to the beach. There is no on-site parking, but we didn't have a problem finding a space on the "no through road" opposite. The approach to the property is up a flight of steps and all bedrooms are on the 1st floor, so not so good for those with walking […] difficulties. The room was comfortable, with en-suite shower room. The shower was great. Toiletries were provided. There was a tea / coffee tray, with ample supply of tea/coffee/milk/sugar, biscuits & kettle. There was also an alarm radio, tissues, tv and storage space. Our room had a nice big bay window, which was double glazed and openable. Breakfast was lovely. Along with a choice of cereal, there was grapefruit segments, orange juice & yoghurt. We then had a "full english", beautifully cooked & cooked to order, along with toast (white or brown) & a choice of preserves. Tea / coffee/toast was plentiful & the meal set us up for a busy day. We spent 3 nights at this delightful B & B . Lovely breakfast and plenty of local advice. Walk along river to the seafront was very pleasant. Was a bit worried about parking on the main road, but managed to find a spot on the side roads each time without a problem

Mindre B&B med 4 rum, ganska litet rum med badrum på rummet, rent och snyggt. Värdparet mycket trevliga. Sidmouth är ett mysigt ställe med mycket vacker natur i omgivningarna, väl värt ett besök!
