"HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012
Wow! What an amazing time we had staying at the Royal Solaris!! We spent our 19th anniversary at this all inclusive resort for 4 days and never even had the slightest urge to go into town or leave the hotel. Friendly staff checked us in. They were knowledgeable, efficient, and there was no waiting. The Time Share lady who offered us a "quick tour" of the hotel but did not get pushy or upset when we told we just wanted to get to our room and then hit the beach. She asked that we come see her, but we never did and we never got bothered with Time Share talk the rest of the time. The multiple pools looked like lots of fun, but hey...we have a pool at home so we spent every waking minute at the beautiful beaches. The "vendors" walking up and down the beach were not pushy at all and after each one made their 1st pass/effort, they didn't bother us the rest of the day. Benjamin and Kike (pronounced kee-kay), were our beach waiters over the weekend and both of them were absolutely tremendous!! We could not have asked for a better experience. The room was clean, it had a comfortable bed, and plenty of water pressure for our showers. Oh...and pay the little extra to get the beach view room...spectacular views of the sunrise and gorgeous blue waters!!

"Great service and food"
the food was better than expected for an all inclusive resort.
"The Beloved - we LOVED it !!!!"
We chose "The Beloved" Hotel All Inclusive for a little family vacation/ winter getaway. Our "family" included 2 adults and a toddler (18 months). We stayed 7 nights. The Hotel is great: we loved overall spacius layout, the fact that it is relatively small (about 100 rooms total or thereabouts), and esthetics. We went mid January, and the Hotel was […] not fully booked, so it was a nice atmosphere, and the other guests (included couples of all ages, other families, and small groups) were all very pleasant. The facilities are in tip top shape !!! (hotel seems fairly new). Even the bathrooms at the pool/beach as well as the ones for the kid's playground were super clean and had spa quality. !!!!! Other reviews have mentioned mildew and mold. We did not experience any of it. As in all caribbean destinations I have traveled, the air is more humid...- obviously. The Beloved has several room options. We stayed in a 2 story beachfront cassita with private plunge pool, and it worked out great. One level has the bedroom/living room area with a spacious patio (with BIG lounger!), the stairs lead you to the rooftop of the "villa" and there is a shower, plunge pool and another big lounger. It was perfect ! - I was a bit worried about traveling with an active toddler, but with a little "adjustments", you could kind of "childproof" the place (i.e. use a big pillow to "block" the staircase to the rooftop). Of course, you need to keep an eye on your child at all times anyway, but I thought that the hotel was very safe for the baby. The room concept is very "open", and that maybe something other travelers would like to know, i.e. there is no real seperation between the sleeping/living area and the bathroom/shower (which by the way is amazing, with all kinds of showerheads - !). Other reviewers had mentioned the "lack of privacy", but the room description and pictures show you what you get, and for us personally it was perfectly fine. Our greeting / check in was fast and friendly. Maid a Read more

"Well worth it"
Met with great service and a great experience.
"Gorgeous Hotel, Extremely Helpful Staff"
La Amada was awesome! Total of three adults in my party, and we all loved it. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was big, spotless, and well designed. Perfect for three single people, with two beds and a fold-out couch. We loved the food, the beach, and all of the infinity pools. This hotel is a hidden gem that is not too big […] and is very well kept. The food is excellent, varied, and not too expensive. Location is somewhat secluded, north of downtown Cancun, a quick $15 cab ride. It's about a $55 cab ride from the airport. We were there to explore, take in the culture, scuba, and take a trip to Chichen Itza. Given that fact, it may have been more convenient to stay closer to downtown, but the fact that La Amada was so wonderful more than made up for the short cab rides we had to make to get to downtown. "WOW!"
Put simply, this is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at, it was absolutely gorgeous and the staff was incredibly helpful and gracious from the minute we stepped into the door to the minute we exited.
"La Amada - Fantastic Stay"
Visited La Amada with my girlfriend for 4 nights in mid-April. Service was fantastic, very much the high point of the trip thanks to Guillermo at the front desk (who took care of us after there was initially a problem with our room), Juan Carlos, Diego, Valdemar, and Erick. I felt it was important to remember their names, because they certainly remembered […] us. The beach and hotel grounds are gorgeous. Clean white sand and clear blue water with plenty of lounge chairs and cabanas. The spa was fantastic and housed in a beautiful building. The negatives were few and minor. The food is relatively diverse, but only varied between "decent" and "good"; nothing was great. The caveat is that we didn't get a chance to visit Lupita, one of the on site restaurants. Strangely, upper level decks drain their water from cleaning onto the patios below, so you might notice a puddle out there during the day. When those are the only complaints, you're doing a great job. Would highly recommend if the goal of your vacation is to relax by the beach. that was ours, and coupled with a side trip to Selvatica, it was exactly what we wanted Read more
"Breath taking"
Best hotel in Mexico!
"Ultra Posh"
The hotel was extremely posh and clean. We were greeted with champagne and moist facial towels, excellent! However, the staff did not let our guests (who weren't staying the night at La Amada, but were traveling with us and just making a pit-stop) so much as leave the lobby. They were not even allowed to enter our room and hang out a bit without having […] to pay $35US for a Day Pass. Otherwise, La Amada is a magnificent place to treat a special someone or just escape busy Cancun proper! I will be back. Read more
"Great Hotel"
The Beloved Hotel or La or La Amada that you should refer to for the Taxi's are a great hotel. Located 20 min drive from Cancun (north), about 1 hour from Cancun airport. Perfect for relaxing. A quiet hotel, clean (rooms and area in general), great service, nice beach and very nice rooms. Nice and clean pool areas (2 of them). Private beach with drink […] food service. Great breakfast Good lunch and Dinner at La Isla Grill (pool/beach side) Aroma also OK, but Lupita Restaurant was not a great experience. Only 10 min taxi drive to the ferry's for Isla Mujeres. Golf, tennis, Spa at the hotel All over a great hotel I can recommend for both a romantic trip as well as a family holiday Read more
"La Amada was perfect"
La Amada was a 10 out of 10. We loved it. The hotel staff made it amazing. The room was huge, spotless and well designed. We loved the food, the beach and all of the pools. This hotel is a hidden gem that is not too big and beautifully looked after. The food was very, very good, and we had a really laid back and easy trip. Kudos to the staff and. Owners […] for creating such a tranquil and relaxing world-class resort. We will return with family again. Read more

"Excelente"
