Excellent location accessible to shopping and public transportation. Great English breakfast; staff friendly. But the facility is outdated; narrow hallway, old elevator; bathroom door does not close. Need upgrading.

Wonderful view of the sea on second floor AND that means I was right on/above the main street. On a weekend...OMG! The noise level of the partying 20somethings was unbelievable. TAKE EARPLUGS. If you are a light sleeper, you will not be able to sleep at all...it went on all night. Nonetheless, I loved this hotel. Awesome staff as well.

We traveled to the area for an event and chose to stay at the Swan Guest House over the hotel where the event was being held and couldn't have been... happier with our choice. We were greated by Tony when we arrived and were quickly made to feel welcome. He provided information on nearby places to eat, called for a cab for us and answered all our questions. The Guest house is immaculate, our room was large with a bathroom and the breakfast was perfect. It was easy to get to our event site and to and from the train station by taxi. Sandra and Tony are very pleasant hosts, they gave us good information of where to eat and their service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Their redecoration program will give the Swan a great boost. Food was excellent.

For someone who doesn't usually stay in B & B accommodation, I really felt at home. The guest house has a wide enough choice for breakfast to please everyone. It's situated wonderfully close to the sea front and within a short walk to a variety of restaurants.
