This hotel was in a perfect location right at a bus stop. The room was a bit small for American standards (no place to do yoga) but it was comfy. I stayed for a week and the staff was always cleaning the building. It was such a nice environment! The food was really good and the chef was always around.

Well managed hotel - very friendly and accommodating staff. Food choice was somewhat limited, but adequately compensated by a variety of options in the city which is about a couple of miles away.

My girlfriend and I stayed for a few days while visiting friends and family and were very pleased. The "hotel" is a brand new apartment complex with a small reception just inside the entrance. Rooms were big, bright and well appointed. Location is fantastic, right next to the Arndale Centre. The only complaint about the entire place was that the sofa-bed wasn't the comfiest. Will definitely stay here again!

Overall our stay was great, the room was comfortable and the staff very helpful, The only downsides for me - I wish the bar area food had not been quite so expensive (over 60 pounds for a burger, baked potato, childrens meal and 2 drinks) also when we checked in around 4pm we requested a cot for our daughter, we had to call back twice before it finally arrived around 7:30.

Period dining room overlooking the gardens. Our hotel has gained a reputation for first class home cooking, served in the delightful surroundings of the charming period dining room. In order to maintain the peace and quiet, for which we have become renowned, we do not have a restaurant open to the general public, instead we serve a three course dinner to residents and their invited guests between 7.00 and 8.00 o'clock.

"The Wind in the Willows Hotel"
I arrived late and was warmly welcomed. I had a large comfortable room with an ensuite bathroom. The cooked breakfast was outstanding - everything on he plate was joy to eat! I am happy ot recommend the Wind in the Willows.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
