The people that run this house are great. They are very helpful and I felt very welcome. I would recommend this hotel to any one. The food was good too.

Lovely spot in the heart of Dartmouth. Spartan condition which was OK. Thought maybe soap would be on hand. Not easy to understand the TV, but not their for that. Hotel was quiet and worthy of a future visit!

Comfortable hotel-they cater to families especially with young children so if you don't want to be around kids don't stay here. However they are truly "family friendly" and had lots of amenities for babies through kids including swings trampoline pool etc.The hotel is on a hill and a short walk to the town(all uphill on the way back)It is the inspiration for "Toad Hall' from Wind in the Willows so full of character and quite charming

"Great Trethew Manor Hotel - great location"Reviewed by Michael W of "Southampton" on Oct 8, 2010
The hotel has a lovely setting with wonderful grounds to walk in. Very olde worlde and although our room was quite small and did not have a view we were happy with the general atmosphere and found all staff members very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is well situated to visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project as well Mevagissey and Newquay. The food in the restaurant is great and good value for money.

The principal town of the south west, Plymouth is famous for its maritime legacy. The Hoe, where Drake awaited the Armada, overlooks the magnificent harbour (Sound): home to naval dockyards and warships, accessible on sightseeing cruises. The bustling atmospheric Barbican district by the inner harbour, with its narrow streets of Tudor and Jacobean buildings, is where the Pilgrim Fathers sailed from. Visit the Elizabethan House and the Plymouth Gin Distillery, as well as the National Marine Aquarium - one of England’s finest.

"farm"
good location very good breakfast in a beautiful area would recomend good priced getaway
"Gabber Farm"
Our room was small and very stuffy. The B&B is part of a working diary farm and unfortunately opening the window allowed all manner of aromas to enter! The fixtures and fittings are old and need updating. It is however very clean and quiet. The breakfast was good and the owner provided a very good service.
"Traditional, Friendly B&B"
A traditional, comfortable country farmhouse B&B, with an excellent breakfast and a warm welcome. A little difficult to locate for the first time, as it's tucked away behind a barn, but the location is quiet and tranquil, yet only a few minutes drive from Plymouth itself.
"wonderful"

"The Gabber Farm at Down Thomas"
I found the quality of service from the owner was first class, she was helpful an helped me park my works van in the yard. She had a broken arm at the time, but she just carried on!Cooked a lovely breakfast as well. The b+b is a working farm,so dont expect The Ritz,It is clean an tidy inside, very homely,I felt really comfortable there. Its out in the countryside,so […] no nightlife. But if you want a No-Frills B+B,this is the place. I would stay there again, when Im in the area. Well pleased with it.Thank you for a lovely stay.
