The staff at Laru Beya is top-notch and so helpful. They scheduled all of our day trips, and we had awesome guides for each excursion. Couldn't be happier with the experience.

Hotel is a little outdated but the service was outstanding! Food at the restaurant was the best we had on the island. Hotel is located 4 miles north of the village but they have bikes for use and it is a great bike ride to town. Loved our stay here and the top notch service!

We arrived to find the restaurant, as well as some services, were closed until next week so we had to go elsewhere for our meals, although coffee and tea were available in the rooms, which were clean and comfortable. The office offered games and a few tours for our pleasure, the pool was open to hotel guests and kayaks lied on the beach. We rented a […] golf cart nearby to explore the town and surrounding area which made travel much more enjoyable. Tim, the manager, was eager to make us happy and offered complimentary pick up for the cart, drop off to the airport and any assistance we required to make our stay memorable. Laru Beya resort is in close proximity to Roberts Grove, it's restaurants and Marina which we enjoyed visiting during our brief stay and only a few miles out of the town of Placencia. Read more

The hotel is right off the beach, so guests can hear the sound of the water from their rooms. The rooms were clean, air conditioned, with comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly, helping us set up our snorkeling trip and local flight back to the Belize International Airport.

I loved the room, dinning, friendliness of the staff. The rooms are small, but well done and the staff works hard to get you what you need. This is a small friendly place, I would stay here again! We found Laru Beya to be an amazing and beautiful resort. The room we stayed in was very large, clean, and beautifully decorated. Ammenities were luxurious for any destination and the views from the living room area and bedroom were stunning. My guess is that a lot of time and planning went into the design because everywhere you are within the resort area has a great view of the ocean. Beautiful quiet hotel, right on the water. You won't get closer to the ocean than this hotel. Bicycles available for guests, round trip to Placencia by bicycle is 1 hour. Staff extremely helpful and very friendly who go out of their way to assist. Single rooms are the second bedroom of a suite with a locking door between which mean they are smaller […] and lack places to sit other than on the bed. We went past it the first time because the signs are small and not easily noticed. The room was a bit dated and the screens were not tight, so did not feel comfortable opening the one window due to mosquitoes, etc. The towels were nicely set about with hibiscus flowers on them - only problem is the flowers had lots of tiny insects that were then all […] over the counter :( Shower was old. The staff was very nice, but had to ask twice for pool towels. Very small flat screen TV in room. We were at the beginning of tourist season and it didn't seem like they were quite ready for guests yet. Glad we had a vehicle, because town was a 15 minute drive from hotel - otherwise, would not work well unless you wanted to just stay at the resort and only eat there. Breakfast was not included (all meals available at the restaurant), but there was a coffee maker in the room and a small frig, which was nice to keep fruit and drinks. It was very quiet and the beach was nice. I felt it was overpriced for what was offered. Read more

The hotel is located about 3 miles north of Placencia Village right on the beach. It has bicycles available for a flat ride to town. It also has kayaks and a Hobie Sport sailboat. We don't like to stay where it is crowded or busy with traffic. This resort was removed from a town but was still convenient to get to the Moorings Marina for our sailboat charter. Check with the hotel ahead of time if you are coming in the off season for hours for their restaurant. The staff were all incredibly helpful and took the time to get to know each guest by name (not an easy feat for such a large group) and made sure that we had all of our needs and wants attended to! Overall, we had a very nice time for our honeymoon. But the first, know that if you stay at Laru Beya Garden view you may get a very small room 9x9ft with bathroom, no tv and no chairs in room. The hotel is north of the airstrip. Beautiful site full of flowers (sneak a taste of the yellow cashew fruit not the nut part is poison), newly renovated with air conditioning. Check in and check out is so quick and easy, no long forms to sign. The perks are free wifi is quick. Free bike use with locks, free use of kayak (morning waves are calm before noon;afternoon/evening tides are rough), pool is clean. The food there is good, but pricey, we decided to eat mostly in town. Some negatives are sand fleas do bite, beach does have seaweed and trash, wear sandals or water shoes. We wish we stayed longer, this does not have the touristy resort feel, but very quiet and comfortable. No drunken college kids to worry about. Real paradise and would stay again. Read more

We had a wonderful stay at Laru Beya. Having a kitchen was wonderful because we were able to cook the fish we caught. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Biking into town was fun and enjoyable. We only wish the maids would have come sooner in the day and cleaned a little better.

Very friendly staff, great location just outside of town (Bike ride in or $10 cab ride). We stayed in two different rooms: The basic which was clean and really nice and the suite which was awesome to cook and relax in. Id recommend it.

We had a wonderful room on the water. Was great! Staff was wonderful and resort was very clean. Only downside was restaurant and a 10$ taxi ride into town. We were able to use the free bikes on the property and took us 20 minutes.
