Very quaint. Spacious gathering rooms and warm atmosphere. Enjoyed a leisurely evening and food was excellent. Fiona was very accommodating and took extra time to give us some history on the castle which was interesting as it was a Campbell castle and part of my family history. Would love to come back and spend a couple of days.

We chose this hotel for its closeness to the airport pending our departure from scotland. It was very clean and rooms were very confortable. Just what you would expect from a Holiday Inn.

Staying at an airport hotel can be rather dreary but this Ramada was bright, clean and had interesting features - like the sliding mirror which covered the window to help alleviate noises, a shower which would accommodate people with disabilities, and nice fluffy towels. Perfect for that time when you need sleep for another step on a journey.

Absolutely fantastic, the hotel is kept in perfect condition, nothing is too much trouble, the food is superb along with the staff. Would recommend this hotel to anybody and will definately be going back in the near future. The hotel was immaculate and situated right on the Loch

"A lovely stay in Rothesay"
My husband and I travelled via the train and ferry from Glasgow. The Ardyne was close enough from the ferry dock for us to wheel our luggage to the B&B along the lovely waterwalk. We loved the fact that our room looked out on the water! Besides that, the room was comfortable, tastefully decorated, and quiet. Very importantly, the morning's cooked breakfast […] was delicious, with generous portions and variety of selections. The Ardyne was close enough to the town's center that we were able to take advantage of plenty of activities during our two days' stay. Our host and hostess were most gracious and welcoming and helped us feel at home in Rothesay, a place far from our real home. We unreservedly recommend the Ardyne. The hotel looks out over the bay with the ferry passing regularly, adding to the spectacular view. The hotel was warm, comfortable and the hosts could not have been more friendly, nor more helpful. "Great for walkers, with or without dogs."

"Beautiful Vista"
Situated on the River Front , occupying a third central part of a villa , A slightly long walk from the ferry , but bus services are good .We were upgraded to an unbooked front room on the top floor with a large bay window, with fantastic views over the river and out towards the Kyles of Bute. It was well worth the extra climb. The rooms facilities […] included a small dressing room and ensuite bathroom ( no window ) Hot water appeared to be on a timer , and wasnt always there when required. The shower appeared to be plumbed in with the mains water supply and was therefore subject to the restraint of the timer. Perhaps this was not the case for all rooms , as our shower was the over bath type.Furniture was a little dated ( the wardrobe door kept springing open as you walked by it....quite freaky !!)Television and dvd in room with a list of borrowable dvds. The usual welcome tray with kettle was available and fresh milk on request.Iron and board avalable on rquest. Room decor was a little tired (shabby paintwork and peiling corners of wall paper, but this was overshadowed by the excellent vista outside.Double bed was comfortable and room was warm. Only one window opened in a room with 3 windows.Breakafst was excellent with a great choice of fruit juices fresh fruit , porrige and any conceivable combination of cooked breakfast,. Excellent location on the picturesque seafront. No official carpark but plenty of street parking available. Our room was clean although a bit on the small side. We could have done with a second seat and we are sure that the very accomodating owners would have provided it had we asked. There is a comfortable lounge and the two spacious dining rooms have […] stunning views across the bay. A large choice of DVDs are available for watching and all rooms have a TV and DVD player. There is a large breakfast menu and the food quality was excellent. The owners were very welcoming and will happily provide information about the local area.
