The hotel was lovely and the staff were very helpful letting us use the phone and giving us suggestions for dinner. We had booked a family room with beds for three. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The only drawback was that the bathroom was set up for the handicapped. The sink and mirror were set very low to accommodate someone […] in a wheelchair so a bit low for us. Also, the shower was open so tended to flood the bathroom. Loved Lismore. The hotel was just great. Large, room enough for 3 of us. Ate a wonderful dinner outside on the patio. Walked across the street to visit the castle, and beautiful park. We found the accommodations comfortable and Lismore was a good launching point to visit Blarney Castle and Waterford and driving around south east of Ireland. Very nice traditional hotel in a lovely town. Close to Cork City, but removed. Very satisfied with our accommodations and friendly staff. We got a great deal on this charming hotel. Lismore is very cute and the hotel s right near everything in town. The town is quiet and the hotel was comfortable. We had a small room with a view of another room and part of the roof, but it was ok given what we paid.

The hotel was very quiet in terms of occupancy and I was greeted with a 'Dial 0 For Assistance' sign at the reception desk. My online reservation had not been picked up by the hotel that day so they had to retrieve it from another system. The staff however were very friendly and I was shown to a room that wasn't suitable as it only had a small window […] - I required a lot of natural light as I wanted to work from the room in the mornings. I was reallocated a very nice corner room with plenty of natural daylight. This was done with the minimum of fuss and with a friendly smile. I stayed in the room the following day.. I had placed a 'Do not Disturb' sign until my departure at 1pm. I returned to the room at 8pm to find that it had not been serviced- I didn't bother complaining as it was so late. The breakfasts were very good on each morning and the bar food was fine. Read more

Really enjoyed our trip to Lismore at the weekend. The hotel is brilliantly situated in this quaint beauty of a town. It's perfect for a short 1/2 night trip away and the town boasts some very nice ammenties to keep boredom at bay. The hotel itself is perfectly located although the street noise invades the hotel room due to the location of our room. […] The room itself was faultless - very big, really comfortable bed, nice lounge chairs and a high quality HD TV. The bathroom was clean and the sunshine made it 's presence known which was very welcome. The hotel bar adjoining the hotel - The Malt Bar is a lively bar with live music which had the locals enjoying to their hearts content. we really enjoyed our stay and would go again ,the windows need double glazing badly our window had a huge gap where we could feel the breeze and also the traffic coming into the town was very noisy ie.double glaze would help make it quieter, overall we loved it

My husband and I stayed at the Lismore Hotel on 21 aug. 2012. The room was very clean with pleasant views, all mod cons, very comfortable linen, duvet, pillows etc. lovely finishing touches like body lotion. The big surprise was breakfast - it was simply the best breakfast I have ever had. Liked: Beautiful room with view on Castle. Gorgeous breakfast. Beautiful Heritage Town of Lismore. Good service. Disliked: WIFI non existent on upper floor. Bathroom is old and sinkhole was yuk! Very nice hotel but I had the misfortune of staying on a Saturday night when the hotel entertained an 18th birthday party. Staying on the first floor meant I could hear every song the DJ played till early morning. Arrived fifteen minutes after the kitchens had closed, but they obligingly re-opened and cooked me a meal, which was excellent. Room spacious, but shower temperature control didn't work properly so water temperature was always HOT.

Arrived at 20.45 with kitchen closing at 21.00. Nevertheless given welcome told we could have a meal- two course meal plus drinks, wine Guinness and coffee all for 45 euros. Couldn't fault it- strongly recommend. Explored around the hotel next morning, lovely location, quaint old style Irish town- shops, castle, river, park.Will go back.

This hotel is really shabby, out of date and in need of total refurbishment. We arrived and we shown to our room only to discover we had been put in a disabled room, with no bath, no basin that was usable to able bodied people and three big beds in it. To be fair, we were moved. The room is ok, clean enough, shabby, faded and with cheap nasty toiletries. […] Not enough towels and they were too small. No face flannels. Breakfast was ok. The bar is a bit basic, no good wine - served in those mini bottles. It really should be just about 2*. The location is ideal for Lismore Opera - otherwise go somewhere really nice. We travelled to Hayfield Manor in Cork from there and for the same money had the most amazing experience. Read more

WHEN WE DREW BACK THE DUVET ON THE BED. THERE WERE( WE ASSUMED) 2 PUBIC HAIRS STUCK ON THE DUVET COVER. WE GOT MOVED TO A DIFFERENT ROOM. Lismore house Hotel is in a beautiful location close to Lismore Castle, Lismore Heritage Centre and the cathedral.There is also a small playground for children close by.
