We stayed 2 adults and 4 children in a suite for 6 persons. Good beds, enough towels to everyone. No traffic noise. Walking distance to Anfield. Good bus connections to city center. This hotel is in a brilliant location to visit Liverpool city centre as it is only a mile away and whilst parking can be pricey in the city, it works out a lot cheaper than staying in a city centre hotel and having to pay to park constantly. We took a taxi into the town one night and it cost £6 each way - not bad at all. The hotel itself is more like […] a house and the rooms are lovely and cosy. The bad - we did not have a fridge as advertised, one of the blinds was broken and the plastic edging of the shower had come away. Also, we faced the main road the traffic noise during the night was pretty loud. The good - The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. We had a few drinks in the bar and the prices are reasonable. We asked at reception how long it would take to get to Manchester (we were going on to there for a night's stay) and the receptionist not only told us but also found us a route planner and wrote down all the directions! The breakfast was really good quality, my partner had a cooked breakfast each day and I only eat continental but there was loads to choose from! We stopped in this hotel midweek and whilst I was weary because of some negative reviews, it was very good accommodation, especially as we paid a very low price. Yes the rooms are a bit small and I would have liked to have a desk or a table to sit at, but it was very comfortable and you couldn't hear noise from the rest of the hotel rooms. The staff are happy to assist you in whatever you need - we didn't have a hairdryer in our room as advertised or any bottled water on the second day but they apologised and provided us with them. Overall it was a very reasonable hotel outside of the city centre but I wouldn't pay too much for it. Read more

A fairly large accommodation complex in an inner suburb, with downtown Liverpool accessible by bus, the stop for which was about a five minute walk. Given its location, the room tariff seemed a little high, although the staff were friendly and helpful.

I booked 2 rooms with this hotel. The both rooms were small. One of the rooms had pillows that were about 1.5" thick (litterally), and had no pillow cases on any of them. The bathroom was also very packed. the toilet had your legs sitting under the sink, and the sink in your chest, the shower was about 2'x2'. and the water barely had a trickle. The […] shower door was broken to where you had to hold it up on the rack inorder to not get water all over the floor. The TV was a 13" and was loosley mounted to a stand bolted to the wall. There was no phone, so when I had to complain about the pillows I got the beautiful pleasure of walking down 2 flights of stairs in my pj's, to tell the attendant about the pillows. I showed her the pillows and she looked at me and said "Ill get you some pillow cases" thats it.. nothing about how i was holding a cloth in my hand that resembled what once was a pillow. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE ROOMS. And to top it all off.. there was a fight club.. seriously a fight club directly across the street, but next to that was a McDonnalds. NEVER AGAIN AND DONT YOU DARE EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER GET A ROOM THERE, UNLESS YOU LIKE PAPER THIN PILLOWS, SMALL ROOMS, SMALL SHOWERS, AND FIGHT CLUBS. TERRABLE EXPERIENCE. Read more

I had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights with my wife and 2 kids. When I checked in, the staff said he got 2 rooms for us, but they would be located at different blocks! My wife said we booked the 2 rooms as 1 reservation and expressed her unhappiness that we had to stay separately with our kids. Finally he arranged to give us 2 rooms at the same block and […] same floor. Why didn't he give us right the way!! The room was located at the 3rd floor and when we arrived the ground floor, there was a notice at the lift stating that it was out-of-service. My goodness, we had to carry our heavy lugguages for 3 floor without any help from the staff! Next day, the notice was still hanging outside the lift and it seems that nobody was taking care of it. On the check out day after breakfast, the same notice was still hanging outside the lift door and my son was curious and tried to press for the lift. He found out that the lift could rise up and down the floors. Finally we had use the lift to transport our lugguages down but we dared not to enter the lift. It seemed that the hotel is not taking care of the utilities and also not caring for the customers. The only thing I felt good about the hotel was the breakfast was surprisingly good. Read more

I was a little worried about this hotel after reading some of the reviews but thankfully was pleasantly suprised. The people at reception were really helpful on check in and through out our stay. They gave lots of advice on the bus service, taxi service and reccomended plenty of places to eat. The decor in the bar and breakfast room was nice and fresh. […] The room was an adequate size with fridge and bottled water, which we thought was a nice touch and good for our vino :-) The rooms were clean and warm and more than suitable for a short break. There was some building work at the rear of the building but this is to be expected in a city that is regenerating and is to no fault of the hotel. The hotel looked very nice on the outside. No complaints about the breakfast which was very well done and generous. It was a bit unfortunate that the hotel is located in a part of Liverpool that has very few restaurants and wasn't a pleasant environment to walk around late in the evening. My only major criticism of the hotel was the condition of the […] equipment in the room (room 8). Upon arrival I noticed that the lamp shade by the bed was broken as was the bulb inside. I ended up replacing it with the one from the wall fitting although perhaps in hindsight I should have called down for a new bulb. One of the curtain rings was hanging off the pole and I had to fix that. When I went to bed I also noticed that the alarm clock wasn't working so I plugged it in! It still didn't work! Something else that I thought was a bit strange was the fact that majority of the radiator in the room was obstructed by the desk and the fridge. This wasn't too much of a problem as the weather was warm but this could be a problem in the winter. However, I thought that the decor of the room was extremely pleasant and looked quite fresh; it was just a pity that some of the fixtures were broken. All things considered, I would stay in the hotel again and would recommend it to colleagues as I feel that the things that were wrong could be easily rectified. Read more

Perfect location for a Liverpool FC home game. It is only about 9 stops from Anfield stadium on the 28 bus. It is also only 20 minutes from the city center, on a direct route also covered by the 10 bus to Lime St. main train station. The staff we dealt with were all friendly and helpful. Because it attracted match goers like myself, obviously late night revelers come with the territory. If you can put up with the risk of some noise after closing time, the location is perfect and the price very reasonable and competitive. The city itself has had a major face lift in recent years and is much improved visually. The streets seemed reasonably safe, but we saw lots of taxis around the main tourist spots if that is your preference. If you are on a father-and son mission, you may find like me that it is very beneficial to have McDonald's diagonally opposite across Beech Street. Small shops also close, the nearby street junction is in the middle of a local shopping district. As an added bonus, between Beech Mount and McD's there is a user-friendly outdoor free web kiosk. There you can record and email his mom a video made live in Liverpool with reasonable quality audio so he can tell her about the trip so far. This kiosk was a clincher for my young lad. FYI to dads, if he is too small to be on-camera on his own two feet, you can get him to stand on a suitcase or something to get into the line of sight, which seems aimed at adults or teenagers. Had a chocolate on the pillow which was meleted all over due to the heat in the room. Had a couple with young children staying next door and it seemed like I shared a room with them. Wir haben 2 Zimmer gebucht, diese waren nicht im gleichen Trakt. Alles sehr verwinkelt und eng. Die Duschkabinentüre war defekt, kein Spiegel im Bad und zudem war das Nichtraucherzimmer ein Raucherzimmer! Parkplätze gibt es eine Anzahl, wäre das Hotel ausgebucht gewesen....... Das Frühstück war gut und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Da muss man sich schon sehr lieb haben in der Nacht. Die Zimmer sind leider sehr hellhörig, auch der Umstand, dass alle Türen als Feuerschutztüren mit hydraulischen Türschließern ausgestattet sind, läßt […] ein leises Türschließen einfach nicht zu! Muss man eben etwas länger im Pub bleiben und der letzte sein, der schlafen geht... Das Frühstückbuffet ist einerseits typisch englisch, anderseits versucht man auch, dem europäischen Besicher gerecht zu werden. DieBedienung ist äußerst aufmerksam, der Kaffee heiß und stark und der Frühstücksraum angenehm. Es gibt drei Sorten Wurst und verschiedene Käsesorten, Butter und Marmelade, Milch und viele(!) Sorten Tee. Eine Bushaltestelle liegt gleich neben dem Hotel. Ein- und Auschecken war völlig unkompliziert, wir hatten allerdings über EXPEDIA gebucht. Beech Mount hotel har alt hvad man skal bruge, hvis altså man er kommet for at være ude i byen. morgenmaden er meget god og der er rigeligt og en god service. Hvis/når man har været inde i byen og spise og fået en enkelt øl eller to så er hotellet heller ikke længere væk end en kort taxa-tur. Jeg tror at vi kom at med ca 6,50 Pund for at komme fra bar- […] restaurant- område i city og hjem. Og hvis man ikke har råd til sådan en tur så bliv hjemme. Værelserne er pæne og rene og badeværelset er også fint. I det hele taget havde vi ikke noget at klage over ved hotellet. Deres bar har forresten længe åben. Hotellet ligger måske ikke i det bedste område. Og der er måske ikke de store seværdigheder i området. men der er ikke langt til de 2 fodboldstadions, hvilket må siges at være et par af de største turistattraktioner i Liverpool. Read more

Abbiamo trovato L'hotel complessivamente sufficente, ma le pulizie lasciavano a desiderare. la stanza al piano terra era confortevole con un ottimo televisore e un doppio riscaldamento che abbiamo dovuto chiedere però che non venisse spento, considerando il freddo di inizio anno. Il personale alla reception gentile e premuroso e cosi anche il servizio […] alla colazione. Il sistema della doppia porta di ingresso nella stanza se utile per il freddo costituisce però un vero impedimento ad entrare ed uscire dalla stanza sopratutto con delle cose nelle mani. Noi lo facevamo spesso per comunicare con una coppia di amici e la stanza delle figlie. Pesa negativamente la distanza dal centro, che impone l'uso del taxi anche 4 volte al giorno se si vuole rientrare per un riposino prima di uscire per la cena, ed inoltre la zona intorno sopratutto il pomeriggio è piuttosto desertica, con un vialone digrande scorrimento e traverse laterali fatte di case e poco altro.Avremmo senz'altro desiderato una ubicazione più centrale e avremmo così risparmiato molto in taxi, suppure fossero a prezzi abbordabili e non paragonabili alla nostra città.(pagavamo circa 6/8 sterline a corsa) Angelo e Rossella, Roma Read more
