We were very pleased with the Lovely Hotel, as well as with all the staff. They are most pleasant and helpful. Very pleased with strict non smoking enforcement. Only a couple of years old and in very good condition with friendly staff, good housekeeping and above average inclusive breakfast. Located close to all amenities and easy to access. Great pool, hot tub and water slide. Only discomforts were the lumpy foam pillows and clammy mattress covers. Elevators need mirrors and handrails.

Courteous staff, new and clean, nice pub 5 minute walk away. They let us use the common room for a family gathering in the evening. Only con is we could hear the people above walking around. At 5AM!!

You definitely needed your own transportation to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Courtney as it wasn't well located to the downtown restaurant area nor did it provide complimentary shuttle services to the tourist attractions - Filberg & Comex Festivals.
